Love to see 3rd Gen's getting love online. Seeing these on the road in the 80's as a kid is one of the things that kick started my love of cars. Keep up the good work fellow Minnesotan.
I really like mine, great quality and fit under great, only thing is the torque arm bracket makes contact with the Tunnel so I had to massage the tunnel a bit
So are those Umi motor mounts you got there that's what I put in my Firebird I walked them up with us all 350 block with the tranny to it it seemed like they worked all right
@@one3racing yeah I thought they looked like the ones I have is there two different sides of them or are they both the same do they have two different heights to them first time ever using them how's the car coming along are you LS swapping it or do you have another Stroker motor to go in it
The mounts fit the same on either side I haven’t had any issues with them, I currently have a Blown up 5.3 in the car only for the turbo kit to be built, I have the 5.3 that’s going on the car almost done and the car is still currently at the chassis shop
Okay, so for any possible other questions I’ll just give you the list of what I can remember I did. SBC 350 bored .30, 190cc AFR heads, .600 lift springs, Comp 7.400 Push rods, Comp Roller Rockers, Comp Roller lifters, Comp 283 Thumper Cam(283/303 Duration, .513/.498lift, 107 LSA), High Volume Moroso Oil pump. That’s pretty much Everything I did internally to the engine. I ran a 3000-3200 Stall Converter for a few years. Should be able to run a 2200+ Stall. I have maybe 2500-2600 total miles on it, 35 or so passes, Motor has been 11.90s. Hopefully that helps him with any other parts he may need.
Dang dude that's sad shit 😕could have put 100 or 150 shot on it and be running as hard as your buddies turbo car but I understand everybody is going LS but not me I'm gonna stay old school but I hope it turns out good for you man 🤘
Everyone has there preferences but I love the LS platform on what you can do with it with boost and nitrous. SBC need more work in order to take what an LS can take. SBCs are the best looking and best sounding Small black V8s but the LS is too good and too reliable not to use for racing
@@one3racing yea I agree nothing sounds like that old school stuff but those LS build alot of power with forced induction that's for sure. Can't wait to see how it turns out and what kinda times you'll be running keep us updated man
What a bummer 😔. Its hard to find a third gen camaro RUclips channel where the content creator is staying traditional instead of doing what everyone else is doing. Everybody and their dog is ls swapping the world and its really annoying. LS engines aren't any cheaper to build than a gnarly sbc ESPECIALLY when you have to spend more money retrofitting the car for a newer overrated engine thats plagued with valvetrain problems and leak everywhere. You might as well go 6.0 but no you choose 5.3 which is not much more powerful than a 350. Let alone a 383 or 400. Unsubscribed
Your uneducated on the LS platform and that’s fine. The fact is LS Motors are way more reliable and easier to acquire parts for. You make better power faster. If you haven’t noticed this car isn’t a show car it’s a race car I can drive on the streets, race cars copy one another every single day, races cars arnt built to be unique and traditional, they are built to race on what works best, LS’s or “5.3” work way way way to good to not make the changes. Sorry I’m not sorry peace dude
Not trying to poach subscribers or anything like that and but I have a channel about a few of my buddies and myself with our builds which are mostly sbc (poor-boy) builds check it out sometime
It's his car he can do what he wants I have a 91 third gen Camaro 5.3 with a t6 vs racing billet 80 and I love it moved the radiator forward and the turbo sits in front in the water pump and it's also a blow thru carb on E85 so I don't need an intercooler

How long was the engine in the car?
Just a little over 4 years
Is it need of a refresh or is it pretty solid yet?
@@thomasnichols3950 didn’t need a refresh always ran great

Another question. Any idea what cam is in this engine? He’s ordering a torque converter and needs cam specs. Thanks!
