Nice ride brother. Did you notice any performance increase with the electric pump?
@@arodderz maybe a tad, i more noticed that that it was just getting cooled more efficiently than a mechanical pump was.
@one3racing Right on thank you for replying
What size hoosiers are you running in looking for a set of nice tires for my 86 trans am
@@4klz I run 26x8x15 Hoosiers
@@one3racing you had to roll your fenders?
@@4klz never once even with 15x10 wheels with a -25offset and a 4.5 bs. And 1in lowering springs
@@one3racing either way I still got along way to go with my build so I'll learn more as I go, thank you for the info
More updates!!!
What kind of radiator hose is that, where can I get one?
Flexible Radiator hose, got it off amazon
Ngl she sounds goooood😂😂 when pulled her in the garage
Nice
Heck yea! Nice dude! Im so happy for you! You deserve it!
Thank you!
Y'all pray for that #1 plug wire. 1 Like = 1 prayer.
#1 plug wire never burnt one time for the entirety of this setup
Can you give me the dimensions on that radiator?

Take some sand paper on the inside of the V on the pully where the belt fits in 'and ruff it up some
Hey man! I also go to Rock Falls and we are currently building a 82 trans am for street/strip, anyway when your there i talk turkey with you? so few people around here that build 3rd gens lol not to mention marketplace sourcing parts🤣
Absolutely man! I plan to be at the Rock Falls Test & Tune April 27th!
You've done some beautiful work, sir. I love 3rd gen F bodies. They are just so eloquent and sexy. Just picked up an '87 T/A GTA 2 months ago. You don't see these on the road that much anymore. 20 years ago I had a '91 Formula and the 3rd gens were a dime a dozen.
Thank you sir! And I agree brother 🤘🏼
The like was for the crash! hahaha
🔥 inspirational build
The UMI stuff is great. I’m curious about the parachute though. And I can’t say I’m speaking from experience but I know you’re building a Drag and Drive car it’s gonna make some power but do you think that you will have enough top-end mile per hour for the parachute to deploy and blossom open properly? I think 150 mph is needed at least . I’m simply just asking out of curiosity
Well yes, you are required to have a Parachute at a minimum mph of 150, I look at safety as it’s better to have it and not need it then to need it and not have it. I’ve raced at some tracks where the shut down is very small and even running 11s was sketchy slowing down. While I may not need it MPH wise I’ve talked to some officials at the tracks I run at and they would like to see chutes on cars that are 9.99 or faster. So I’m planning ahead for safety things is all because I will need it sooner then later 🤘🏼
@@one3racing Nice yeah that makes sense to me. I agree with you even the cost and the heavy weight that my roll-bar added, is still worth it because of the safety factor. The only thing I was mentioning was because sometimes I’ve seen a car go down the track and pull the parachute, only for a shoot to just drag on the ground and not fully open because the car didn’t have enough speed. That’s all. but it’s definitely good to have it ahead of time especially when the car continues to get faster and faster. I’m not sure about what your local and state regulations are but I know here in New Jersey they would never allow me to drive around with a parachute mounted on the back covering the rear license plate or anything like that so I don’t plan on putting one on the car but I’m looking forward to see how your progress continues
@@IROCZman15 yeah no worries, Minnesota is similar rules but the Plate just needs to be visible and illuminated so I’m just moving the plates to the screws on the wicker when I street drive and then just hope an officer don’t see me at night 😂
Did you have any issues with the top part of the strut being too short for the caster camber plate? I’m having that issue right now. Strange Engineering Coilovers with QA1 caster camber plates.
I didn’t, my coil overs were a tad short but still had enough for the coil over nut to thread on comfortably
Best intro ever!
Jesus that camaro sounds so badass!! Hey, whats guy doing @12:03? Adjusting idle rpm?
Yes, he was just adjusting the Idle screw
Nice! looks like your crank pulley and your water pump are 1:1.🤔 did you have over heating issues?
Had no overheating issues even on a 380mile drive through Texas 98° day
Me as a car lover, I had to add you. Great job man
Thank you!
Did those plugs stay in ? Going through the same Dilemma. to tap or not to tap
Plug stayed in and I had no leaks or weeping from the plug
@@one3racing sick, thank you!
Bad ass car !
Thank you!
Car looks and sounds good. Don't forget to do a tps reset after adjusting the throttle blade. What headers are those? Wonder if they would work on my second gen camaro?
They are FlowTech Turbo Headers, in order to run these downward I had to remove the stock steering box, you can still run these headers flipped upwards if you wanted
@@one3racing I really like the clean look of the down and forward more than up. I do not want to move coils either.
Subscribed! Love the car!
Great job !
awesome seeing it driving out on the highway
I know what you mean get tired and run out of money it happens to all of us the 3rd gen I ran a brand new Harley electric fuel system online and the return line wasn't big enough and it was boiling the fuel and mine too take it all off put a mechanic fuel pump back on it ran great then the brand new MSD box took a crap on me 420 bucks close the hood on it and said maybe next summer just got to keep fighting determination will always win take a break clear your mind and maybe this next summer you'll get it together have fun later bye
What year 5.3 L did you use just curious just dropped a stroker motor in my 87 Firebird I talk to you last summer about the UMI motor mounts they work great but I have a 2003 Tahoe it’s got a 53 in it and I believe it’s called a 700 R4 not sure but I was thinking about keeping the motor and tranny But the third GEN is looking pretty nice there you really upgraded it you want to be able to blast down the highway in that be safe later bye
I have 2003 LM7 5.3
@@one3racing the transmission I got I think it's a 4 L 80e does that sound right anyways the Tahoe I got it still in great shape it's rust free but it's a two-wheel drive so I believe the training will work fine for a swamp but yeah you came a long way with your car looking good I still have this 92 RS Heritage 25th anniversary I really didn't want to tear it up because it's only got 25,000 original miles on it it still has the original tires on it volume to 305 it's just not all there to get the blood pumping that's still a nice Cruiser
Are you going to use pusher or puller fans?
right now I have pullers, but it will be switched to a push and pull eventually
Look good bro
If the sbc350 is all stock can the electric water pump still working as should?
If wired correctly yes
Love it bro and where did u order wing from
Thank you! And Motion Raceworks Here’s the Link www.motionraceworks.com/products/82-92-chevy-camaro-drag-wing-31-170
Thank you
I’m impressed with a new build and taking it out on a race week like that. Anytime you have a new build, your going to have little issues. I’m impressed with what you’ve accomplished. Love the car. New subscriber. Good luck.
Thank you! 🙏🏼
Looks and sounds good. My ‘86 was almost the same color.
I noticed you have a restrictor in the thermostat housing. Would you recommend this for a hotrod weekend driver or just race application. Cheers
I’d Recommend restrictor if you have a engine that’s built for performance, I Used the restrictor because my motor did not like any Thermostat I tryed, you’ll wanna buy the pack of restrictors that has multiple restrictor sizes. If you have an hot rod that goes on longer drives I’d lean more towards the a thermostat 🤘🏼🤘🏼
nice job
Thanks!
Can you send me a link for that piece in the back that you’re seatbelts boat two that goes across look like it goes from wheel wheel to wheel wheel
I bought it a long time ago I can’t find the link, if you look up “Hawks” 82-92 camaro harness bar it should pop up. I’m not sure if they still make or sell them
Live to fight another day!!! Great build take the W on 10sec pass
Thank You! 🙏🏼
Bro u did the right thing better safe than sorry it’s always next year and race and drive another day I’m with u on that don’t have alot of money for that I have a 3rd gen to almost same set up as your budget build
Congratulations on the 10 second pass! You did the right thing by coming home and working on the issues you pointed out. Can't wait to see the car on the track next season.
you are on the right track with everything. After a new build like that its brave to go out and try to do a race week event, for sure...especially without a co-pilot. Getting a 10 second timeslip is a great accomplishment. Well done.
Thank you for the kind words and encouragement! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
No way that's a failure. Every time we take the projects out is an opportunity to discover what needs to be improved. You made it farther than most.
Thank you 🙏🏼
😎🤘🔥🇺🇲
That’s great congrats
Thank You! 🙏🏼
Mullet gang 🫶🏾
How did you get the factory column to fit the 7 inch dash
Had to trim some of the plastic cover off the stock column to get the dash to sit lower
Don't forget the wheelie bars!
Hell yeah! Been waiting for this update. Sounds good
Time to go FAST now!!!
