Kicking someone in head while on the ground should be upgraded from assault with a deadly weapon to attempted murder charges.
Its a deadly cowardly act!
It happened to me as a teen, my friend and brother saved me before the kicked my head, I was on the ground getting beat and was badly concussed.
My son is 15, this breaks my heart for this family and poor kid. I hope he recovers.

I was standing outside 99c the one on pacific and Florence and 3 people beat me up. I was knocked out. And I have a neck injury on my left back side of my head. It's hurting all the time.
