0:11 The Most Expensive Food in the World
12:37 Ina Garten
25:51 The Pavarotti of Pasta
The pasta chef made my heart melt when he was feeding the poor. And the smiles they had enjoying his food.
'The hell with the pigs, let's feed the french!'🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
He Dam near had to yank the pigs head off to stop it from eating the Truffles 😂😂😂😂
I’m so glad he’s feeding people with the food discarded. It’s an absolute travesty the food that we waste.
Great story - a man that is help others and stopping food waste 💫- lets all do our part
I have always admired Ina's style of cooking. And the loving relationship between she and Jeffrey.
Me Too
we have the same problem in germany, if something is assembled here even with foreign parts it can be labeled 'made in germany'. this is misleading and needs to be addressed! i am so sick of how us consumers are being conned on a daily basis when the laws could prevent that!
There is so much deception these days in business driven by greed and fed by the internet. Many things are faked and even when not directly for money but indirectly for views (which translates to money). It's getting hard to know what is real anymore.
Ina saying the eff word….. I can die happy now. I just wish I could have heard it without the bleep. But just knowing she said it, it just makes my soul happy. It’s the little things in life, man.
I literally just gagged watching this!!
Wonderful montage of stories about food and people.
Chef's kiss* 😂.
I liked the Italian dude and barefoot contessa. It's inspiring and refreshing to see anyone that passionate and excited about what they do (not to mention skilled). Both seem like they are loving life, it's great.
I just love 60 minutes ♥️
-- *_Thank you, 60 Minutes!_*
Ina and Jeffrey are intelligent, light, and absolutely PRECIOUS ! ! ! Great segment!
They didn't have kids, did they?
With all the money the truffle company makes, they should have their employees with them during local pick ups
"They used to use pigs but they ate the truffles. Nooowooiii!" 😂
🤣🤣
1:25 oh no no!
The highlight of this is when she says do what the f*ck you want. Makes her sound like your neighbor across the street she is so down to earth and personable
The chef should open a few refitorios....( if I'm saying it right) in the u.s so many homeless people in need. You'd be surprised. This man is a saint
Indian Sikhs already have several gurudwaras across Europe and America where anyone can come eat for free. Fresh meals are prepared four times a day , anyone can come eat, no restriction on race or religion
Ever think that they are just over harvesting the truffles.
Greed ruins everything
I'll take Fazoli's any day thanks.
Truffle hunters...I love watching this story..dogs are good..pigs eat the truffles they find... hahaha
@rabymaidah, best comment!
As you said: dogs are good...
pigs eat the truffles they find... ;)
That’s why they’re called “pigs”! 🤣 I married into a lovely farm family and they raised not-so-lovely pigs. Pigs are indiscriminate eaters, thus the nickname often applied to humans! 🐷
You know you’re poor af when you’re 51 and only now learning about truffle mushrooms 🍄 😂
Truffle oil is on every highly processed food nowadays. You had traces of truffle oil already.
@@pavelow235 though truffle oil has no truffle.
...How does food travel to your plate?
"As we embark on this new journey, may God bless all of us with good health and prosperity!
Loved every moment of this show.
The irony of selling $1000 mushrooms, then getting mad at china for scamming people!
That is crazy so much money for a mushroom or fish eggs when you can really eat very delicious food for crazy less and still have money to feed others...
I go out of my way to never buy Chana products especially food!
You actually comparing a scam to a very rare item that's difficult to find is truly astonishing lol. There's no irony whatsoever, it's just your lack of thinking 🙄.
If you believe the marketing and hype, you are the one not thinking
@Disoriental11 It has nothing to do with marketing or hype, lol. Virtually anything rare is expensive, and if the demand for those rare things is there, "it is," then it's going to be expensive. Stop embarrassing yourself with ridiculous comments.
DAAAAAMMMMMM you know you paid when you can truffle hunt in a full mink coat.
Barefoot Contessa - The Queen of Home Cooking in America - God Bless Her
SMH. personally I don't do mushrooms. I think this industry is over the top and a lil crazy. The lady with the fur coat is very eccentric and honest. 😮😮
It's not a mushroom 🍄, it's in the fungi family. If it was a mushroom, it would be called a mushroom and not a truffle. I don't really eat or "do" mushrooms myself but I would definitely try some truffle.
If you spend that much on dinner for your girlfriend/wife those truffles better be an aphrodisiac...😛
What a great story.
35:30
'32 years!'
😆😆😆
He is Italian.
That's for sure!
GREAT VIDEO!!! 👏🏻👏🏻
AWESOME
I never would have thought that Ina and Jeffrey had been together so long. Amazing
I was a latchkey kid, & my mom left me detailed recipes to cook. From the time I was old enough to read. I would cook the entre, sides, & desserts by the time she got home from work according to her recipes. Of course she made sure I had alll the ingredients
Love INA.
I have never tasted a truffle, but an curious enough to try it. Russian Black Caviar is another delicasey I am curious to sample. 🤗
My favorite sports-bar offers 'truffle-fries'. A genuine treat from the griddle. Hold the ketchup.
I used to hunt for mushrooms in the mountains my dad worked for the Forest Services.
Rich people flying to a secret location just to have lunch. What can be wrong with this picture?
This world is f'd.
Yea I’d have a pack of peanut butter crackers and give the money 💰 to the local food bank. That’s more satisfying than any expensive meal.
@@adamhuffman3354 ya sure
Don't hate.
It's only wrong if the food is bad.😅
That made me cry it’s wonderful. Can we have one in America Florida to be exact
I just love her! Please let her be as nice as she seems. 🙏
We have several of her books, and one is on our counter at all times. Our favorite is her French mustard fish.
Love that comparison between Martha & Ina😱😵🙄
Lady in the middle: "I have done nothing. I do not know anything. I point so others do it.".
09:23 can we appreciate how beautiful that French police officer is.
"They" do this with all products all over the world.
I’ve never heard Ina cuss before. Love her even more now. 😊
America got truffle everywhere 😉 4 FREE
You see how light you feel when I cheap out on the portions.
Saffron can be $3,200 per pound.
That's only because it is so light, and a pinch goes a long, long way.
@@Mary-zr1vi lol.. I was thinking of something else that's expensive per pound.. 😂. Morel mushrooms used to be up to $200 per pound. Now we can only sell them for about $20 tops.
@@kevinnashskitchen3517 🥴🤣🤣🤣
I'm sorry, but just let them talk.....i can't stand it that interviewers feel as though they have to talk over the people they are interviewing. Just let them talk!
Please someone send me some of the red soil and oak trees
Let me get this straight. I'm expected to pay for mold found by a dog. Right?
✨🧚✨🌜✨💖✨🌛✨🧚✨
Mother Universe thank you for
the great example of King of
Pasta and everybody following
his divine footsteps to make
the world the best planet to live.
Authentic French Chinese Truffles for Americans sounds like a great business. 😅 🤐 Not wonder they're imported into France rather than anywhere else.
I thought it was made of Luciano Pavarotti...
In-A-Garden...😊
I have never tried a truffle
All that money.
All that fuss.
I'd rather eat a prime rib.
They are eating steaks, with truffle sauce all over, or truffle grated over the top... lol
Cool story! 🙄
Funny about Ina; a lot of people during Covid decided it was 5 o'clock somewhere, and had a cocktail. Why not?! 😁🍸🍹🍺
I think truffles are yuck!
Super segment on Ina Garten but way out of my league......
I wouldnt eat those junk even some one paid to me.
"THE BROWNIE"🍫
Well I will never be able to try one.
oh come on you had to squeeze in propaganda here too 🙄3:56
I can tell not imagine how many restaurants in the USA are trucking like they do with lots of crap
Leslie Stahl mentioned kudzu from China in the US SouthEast. A quarter of a million websites have recipes for kudzu. Are there as many for any other green?
That French lady is Leather Incarnate.
*Birds nest soup cost me more in china*
This just proves crime goes hand in hand with drugs because of economic reasons, NOT health reasons.
Croatia next to Italy has wonderful truffles the size of melons.
28:13 can anyone explain what “wild hair” is?
It's "hare" not "hair". A wild hare is a similar to a rabbit.
@@GigiStar01 thanks. I didn’t put 2 and 2 together cause nobody calls them that here
@@user-co9hf7tu2i A hare is a different animal than a rabitt. They are related, and look very similar.
When you decide to not groom yourself for an extended period of time I would say.
@@korbkiatkraichitti5881 😅😅😅
The grow in new Zealand they actually have methods to grow them
Not too concerned for the truffle people.
If that were in the US, people would be waiting for them to mug them as they got into their cars with their day long search for truffles. You wouldn't be allowed to travel around the fields and hills without someone saying they OWN that land and therefore the truffles belong to them.
bravo picciotto 👍👍👍👍
There is no city in Italy called "Madena". It is not difficult to pronounce Modena correctly.
Makes a lot of sense, I've had truffle before that had added an explosion of flavor to beef tartar and eggs. AND I've had truffle that added 0 taste or "tasted like wood" like the guy said. So I probably had Chinese truffle.
Just as are these fake cosmo-morphed Truffleites, the Truffle itself is wildly overrated. That said I truly love Ina Garten and Massimo is an essential chef and human being.
😳😳wow
Very interesting
I love how the rich exploit everything from rare fungus to killing amimals to wear as a coat.
And she has the balls to call Rich American People ignorant of what she is doing- over pricing what ever she sells.
@@4partmedia french truffles are not overpriced, it's extremely rare and hard to crop obviously it's way more expensive than the crap americans eat that is mass produced
This really
Ina Garten? 🎶Ina Garten Davida, baby!🎶
Best truffles are in Istria 🇭🇷 prove me wrong
This lady doin nothing but making the money 😂
Well I don’t know why Vermont or NH cannot grow tasty Truffles. Similar Climate , soil , wet Spring & Summer… try & aquire a taste for them and then market them
we have better growrth and cutlriavition methods nwo fro both whtie and black truffles.
Funny, they would be in my trash can.
Pásate de vueltas !!!! ABRAZOS
I think the Chinese have a right to make and sell stuff. If you don’t like it then don’t buy it. I personally would buy neither. Don’t demonize them for chasing the fortune that every other rich country chased at some point.
So upset that I spent $40 on a beer and boiled crawfish! Now I'm about to munch on Dollar General goodies, because boiled crawfish don't fill you, at all.. I'd advise just buying the frozen peeled crawfish tails, and making or ordering a crawfish etouffee or fettuccine!
Or jambalaya..
Or gumbo..
😲
When I saw the dog with the truffle in it's mouth & the guy taking it out to sell it. That was just so gross & unsanitary. How do they get away with that?
I’m relieved to say that I’m allergic to truffles!!
I’ve had both white and black and didn’t pay for either and will have them again. Rich people showing off
How can a few countries waste food when millions are starving especially children in different parts of the world?
France is no longer the French. It’s all Muslims now.. and not a shot fired.
What does the Chinese truffle taste like ???? ... What does the French and the Italian truffle taste like ??? .... Look at the American truffle with it's popularity... There is probably different flavor distinct still a truffle grade them like olive oil now that's a product that's been heavily pursued by the underworld...
Expensive???...come to Miami and see... grocery stores are Tiffany priced
It’s looks like $hit
She obviously has monopoly power over the truffle market.
The 🐖 ate them 😁😁
