There really isn’t anything like an Italian sound. I agree. Also there’s nothing like the sound of the Santa Fe River when the gates of it’s reservoirs becomes overflowing. We get a chance to experience something quite remarkable, a sound of music that the centuries have written for our ears, yours and mine. Really it’s true just listen
Yes, I agree that the Easter Island indigeonous people should continue the tradition and make more statues following the old traditions. What a beautiful, intuitive, and appropriate solution!
From a 68 year old white woman who was told that Girls are NOT suppose to like Math and Sciend, I salute you both. I don't care you colour, your upbringing, or anything. YOU GO GIRLS!!!!! We need more young ladies like yourself studing Math, Science and Engineering. From now on you will need to remember to turn around and offer your fellow ladies a hand up. It was 3 black women who helped put our men into space.
From my observation, it seems very obvious that women are natural scientists. We were banned from getting an education and held back in every way for centuries. That was a grave mistake for humans. When only half the population can participate in advancing our species in the sciences, it will naturally take twice as long to advance. So it not only hurt women and prevented them from reaching their potential, it also slowed human progress. Now in 2024, women are 51% of med students. We are making huge inroads in astronomy, math, physics, computers, and all the science disciplines. And we see the major advances we are making at such a rapid pace! It is no doubt at least partially because women are allowed to participate.
My dad was part native American and he always told me that our ancestors were watching over us keeping us from harm. Not sure I guess I believed it because I had some awesome good luck my whole life. Thank you Jesus thank you great spirit thank you great mystery!
I saw Itzak Perlman in concert, and I have never heard such a clean clear tone. It was just WOW! A few weeks later I heard a violin piece on the radio that had that same tone, and yes, it was Mæstro Perlman!
Thank you so much for the episode on Cremona and the violins. It broke my heart when I found out where Cremona is knowing that I was in Verona only last year and I was so close to Cremona. When I am in Italy again I will definitely have it on my list and the music during the episode was exquisite.
From the Earth we came and there we shall return?.. Perhaps accepting change is a lesson. Teaching the how of creating is lovely idea and very consistent with accepting change😊 Re: Easter Island
I read that Brent Seales team at University of Kentucky has claimed the Vesuvius Prize by successfully reading text on one of the Herculaneum scrolls in October of 2023. What a time to be alive!!
Im guessing they were created to show possible visitors/travelers that they are there, and they are "powerful and that they are many' Basically to protect the island, but also to show the world that they exist.
First discovered 1722. Imagine that. In junior high I read a book about this mysterious group of statues. I also read chariots of the gods then. Thanks for the stroll down memory lane
Hope the Moai figure that out. I dont see how they think they can get the money to perserve statues without having no one come to visit. Even Queen Elizabeth couldnt maintain all her estate without some type of tourism.
regarding the scrolls, why don't people work together? You all want to read the scrolls. Humanity fails because we try to do it independently in so many things. When we work together miracles happen.
A group of uni students recently uncovered several phrases from the scrolls using AI. It was in the news a few weeks ago. Indeed working together gets things done sooner. Some scientists are simply driven by ego and want all the glory for themselves which is in fact in vain of furthering science.
Would love to see a piece on The temple at Borobudur (Java). Discovered this as i rounded a bend near Yogyakarta, Indonesia and is a mind blowing experience. Nough said.
If they are so fragile... Being made of volcanic rock and materials...what makes one think they were moved.. maybe some knocked over... But digging to see how far they go underneath is worse than tourists
I read a book called Tree story: History of the world written in rings, the authoress Valerie Trouet introduces the book by Stradivarius violin, in order to introduce us to how important even a tree could be in the history of music.
The repair/restoration of Notre Dame is impressive, but why don't we give similar importance to preserving the natural world from destruction; something truly irreplaceable and precious to our own existence, not to mention its wild inhabitants?
RE the Stradivarius one- I'm only about halfway through, but I wonder if they'll mention the double blind studies showing that experts can't tell which is a Strad. In other words, the *unique* qualities are manifested mentally...that's not to say they aren't of the highest quality, just that there doesn't seem to be an *objective* unique quality. EDIT: Nope!
I love these statues but I would never believe they were built with a Rock tool or that was moved on wood or by rocking them they were truly built with knowledge and tools we have yet to discover.
For god so loved THE WORLD that he gave his only son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life. So let's stop ruining it with plastic trash and breeding house cats that are responsible for more extinctions than humans.
Easter island is a island now but probably before the flood was attached to Hawaii or another continent, the people probably have always been there. Walked there not sailed.
I would think there's somebody there that wants to continue their heritage and make new Moi.sad they get so much money from tourism but they can't afford to preserve their culture
I’d be so nervous to drop the darn thing. They sound so beautiful. They speak their own language. In the right hands. Pure genius. Beautiful

It's now complete. Amazing 👏
visited some years ago - was wonderful to walk among these huge moai on a quiet morning
Annexed. A polite way of saying,
“Take over.”

Not arguing your statement and your wellness. But ancestors and God don't go hand in hand
The Bible mentions a man who carves a god of of a piece of wood or clay then worships it.
60 minutes is the best show ever
Facts I'm 28 as far as I can remember on TV and now youtube best content
This is wholesome great... thanks for sharing 😀
Great Story on Easter Island. Ty Anderson it’s appreciated I’m sure your trip there was amazing
I saw Itzak Perlman in concert, and I have never heard such a clean clear tone. It was just WOW! A few weeks later I heard a violin piece on the radio that had that same tone, and yes, it was Mæstro Perlman!
The mysteries of this world...adding more places to go.

Have you watched "Red Violin"? wonderful film...
That's how you keep any tradition alive. Keep living it. Make more Moai. Just one or two a year would be enough.
Always fascinating
I liked this video❤enjoyed reading the comments too☝️🤩informative and interesting 🤔
Would like to go see them one day
Not one day. Just go now
Very good
Absolutely!
The sound just lures one in
SUPER!!!!!

Thank you kindly CBS NBC ABC and me 🐬
Thanks
Yes! They need to slow tourism and make it as sustainable as possible in order to survive!

13:38 Cremona is on my bucket list! 😂
*Awesome to see **#Poatan** in the thumbnail!*
My crappy usb speaker didn’t do that any justice. Ty 60 minutes for that honey in my ears this morning
A very interesting movie

Is it too late to fall in love with a violin 🎻 and move to Cremona😅

I just moved here and it's beautiful, the women are sweet and respectful and love black men!!!!!!!
Interesting how the Moai look just like the Face on Mars.
You said the statues are facing "away" from the sea , but arent they facing the sea ?

Let me guess the visitors who think aliens made these are evangelicals from America.
Where to get some material from work what was made out of

The back of the violin wood sounds so good that they should cut thumb pianos into them...
Two instruments for the price of one....
I love my thumb pianos
Imagine if the people at the violin museum were all like 'oh yeah the violins are alive and have powers'
They were so wise 😂😂😂
31 seconds in and I am bored already 0:31 smh
Small minds see very little..... I had to learn this also
The people must build more

Why don't they cover them with glass domes? It shouldn't cost more than 20 million dollars.
Well that’s mind blowing they won’t allow the scrolls to be scanned. Hellur
He’s absolutely right. They must keep the knowledge of how to carve the Moai. The USS constitution is only 10 to 15 % original
Perhaps, the Nephilims put those together.❤

What did Beethoven play? I am thinking a violin...
H. Ford played "Turkey in the Straw" on his "Strat". Wonder what happened it it?
It it it is in it😅

Rare picky one violin is just like the other violin.
