    Another great video, LM, full of great information and remarkably concise. I'm not even fixing a van watching this, I just find your videos entertaining and educational!
    Sounded like fuel needed priming, which is why it struggled to start after you fixed the problem. I am very fond of the 2.0 HDI Berlingo; one I have was left by myself in a field unstarted for 2 YEARS, I put the battery in, turned the key and it came to life on FIRST crank. These 1.6's are shit compared to the 2's. I know they give more horsepower and are supposed to be more efficient but nothing can compare to the sheer bulletproof reliability of the 2.0! I'll take low-end torque over horsepower any day on a van, I don't know for sure but I feel like the 2's have much more.

    Do you have a video with no comm at a Module according to the scan tool but the Module has all powers, grounds, comms, and comm waveform looks good plugged in. Most techs would blame that Module but you looked further and the problem was not the suspected Module. This video almost made that list but it was missing a, let's call it a secondary signal to wake up which most techs would have found, thanks for any links you may offer towards, not blaming a Module that must surely be the problem according to the scan data and test measurements, love all your stuff mate.

Hope this may help some folk out there! This on a 2.0hdi though

    Hi Sir i very much like your videos they are very helpfull, i have one question for you, i have Lexia diag tool so it stoped working and i opened the tool to try and repair it and i did, but after assembiling it back i accidentally pluged the connector on diagnostic tool chip backwards in reverse order, so not knowing i did that i pluged it in to the car and immediatly heard some beep, and now i have no comunication with ECU (checked with another diagnostic tool) the car wont crank and on the Alert log it shows , Brake system faulty, Airbag(s) or pretensioner seatbelt faulty, Tyre presure(s) not monitored, Directional headlight(s) faulty, Suspension faulty,
    The car is a Citroen c5 2006 year, i checked all the fuses they are ok checked the obd port for power resistance and grounding and it is ok car locking and unlocking works hydraulic suspension works and it autolevels but when trying to start the car nothing happens and when i put ignition on i only hear some constant buzzing noise comming either from the alternator or the suspension pump and a relay in the BSM unit that clicks every 5 or 10 seconds, i would like to hear your opinion on wich part might i damaged with my stupid mistake the BSM the BSI or ECU, The wireing should be ok because everything was ok with the car before my mistake

      @@LMAutoRepairs Hi Sir unfortunatly no i don't have another scaner, but after my inspection it seams that the power from the 16 pin of the OBD has ended in pin number 5 and that is ground signal or in citroen electronical ground (i tested for continuity replicating the same scenario) now the problem is i don't know where is pin 5 from the diagnostic socket conected to, i can't find any wireing diagrams for my car online it is a Citroen C5 2.0 hdi automatic 2006

    • @LMAutoRepairs
      @LMAutoRepairs  2 года назад

      The grounds on the OBD port are not fused... if you still have ground on the OBD port I wouldn't worry about for now...
      What you want to check, is fuses... do you still have 12v at the OBD?
      The issue is if when you connected it, 12v ended up momentarily going into other pins as well...
      But again, check voltage at the OBD first...
      Check fuses, etc...

    • @anthonyknight3082
      @anthonyknight3082 2 года назад +1

      @@LMAutoRepairs I have checked the voltage on the OBD port and it shows 11.80 V so it has power, i checked the ground for continuity and it is ok, i did a measurment on the resistance on CAN High and CAN low and the Multimeter shows exactly 60 Ohms, checked all the fuses there was one blown for the starter i replaced it, now the battery is couple of months old is there a chance that that short could drain or damage the battery in a minute while it was wrongly conected.

    • @LMAutoRepairs
      @LMAutoRepairs  2 года назад

      Doubt... but 11.80v is a bit low...

    Hi, I live in the Bahamas and I wanted to ask your opinion on this system. If you have power on the wake up line and no ground from the computer to activate the relay do you condemn the computer? Ground wire doesn't have any breaks.
    Also if I manually ground the relay for the ecu no power is sent to the wire? Do you have any ideas I am trying to help someone with this project.

    • @Truesoldier-vn4rb

      I thought that no power goes to the ecu other than the wakeup line, which will cause the computer to send the ground signal to the bsm to send the other powers? I will check to see if there are any other initial powers other than the wake up line.

    • @LMAutoRepairs
      @LMAutoRepairs  Год назад

      You should have the wake up line, a terminal 30 and a 15...

      OK. So there is only one power wire from the bsi to the ecu and it has power. The psi(bsm) does have a few extra grounds that it sends to the ecu. I will have to confirm if there are any issues with the ground from the psi. I know regular ecu grounds are OK. Does your model have more than one wire from the bsi?

    • @LMAutoRepairs
      @LMAutoRepairs  Год назад

      No...
      Wake up line is just one wire...
      Then you have terminal 30, and then terminal 15 that is turned on when the wake up line is energized... if I recall correctly...

      Always someone sceptic about....
      Due to being off for so long, fuel has probably returned to the tank...
      The first run was the fuel left in the injectors, rail and pump... Toke a few attempts to get the fuel back to the front and running again...
      I guess if was a compression issue, would fail or would struggle to start from the first attempt... as dry would make compression even worse...

    My mechanic tried to erase the foult but it cannot be deleted and it says something like "airbag failure continuation time".
    I am 100% sure that the car wasn't involved in any accident, de exterior looks in mint conditon, under the hood, in the trunk, everywhere.

      @@bh25jay Look under the seats for a module or wire harness connector that was flooded in water, check for corrosion on any wires, airbag module may not be under the seat but there might be some connectors going to the seatbelts as part of the system. The light will not go out until you fix the problem, turning it off is not an option, some vehicles are self-resetting, fix the problem and the light might go out by itself. This system is very sensitive to OHMS, if there is corrosion and it has added resistance, this might be the fault but you need to know how to check this system very carefully, good luck.
