Hold on 😂 brother, just a few seconds ago you had the test light at the black plug to the ECU and you said "maybe the ECU is ignoring the message internally" then you are running a magic wire from unknown pin to the grey pin 5 BSM and voila...what is embarrassing now please explain that to me.
@@dkaloupis75 You did miss... 13:18... Before that I showed that the wake-up signal from the BSI was reaching the ecu, yes I mentioned it was the possibility of being an internal problem... After that, I explained the the issue was actually something different, and was actually the signal from the ecu to the BSM... Hope that makes sense now...
Hi, I live in the Bahamas and I wanted to ask your opinion on this system. If you have power on the wake up line and no ground from the computer to activate the relay do you condemn the computer? Ground wire doesn't have any breaks. Also if I manually ground the relay for the ecu no power is sent to the wire? Do you have any ideas I am trying to help someone with this project.
I thought that no power goes to the ecu other than the wakeup line, which will cause the computer to send the ground signal to the bsm to send the other powers? I will check to see if there are any other initial powers other than the wake up line.
OK. So there is only one power wire from the bsi to the ecu and it has power. The psi(bsm) does have a few extra grounds that it sends to the ecu. I will have to confirm if there are any issues with the ground from the psi. I know regular ecu grounds are OK. Does your model have more than one wire from the bsi?
No... Wake up line is just one wire... Then you have terminal 30, and then terminal 15 that is turned on when the wake up line is energized... if I recall correctly... I did this job ages ago, I don't remember all the details... 👍👍👍
No quite... Depending on the car etc... the ecu has permanent voltage... then the wake up line tells the ecu to boot up... Yes, some others is when key is turned on... 👍👍👍
Quite aggressive answer using middle finger emoji... I was just wondering and thats why I asked about it, I didnt know that there is this kind of boot system also. Have a nice day@@LMAutoRepairs

Could you please tell me where the starter motor relay is on my peugeot 207 desiel it's on a 58 plate I've looked in fuse box under bonnet and fuse box in glove box but can't find thank you
It is probably internal in the engine fuse box... I would have to check to make sure, but peugeot have majority of the relays installed internally on the modules... 👍👍👍
Hiya Louis, where in the UK are you based? I have a similar fault on a Berlingo 1.6 HDI and struggling to get it sorted, do you have a website where I can contact you?
@@LMAutoRepairs yes fault codes are, no communication to ECU, no starter command, bsi output inhibited indefinitely, I've checked all fuses and swapped over the bsm unit and still the same faults, it will just not crank at all.
Before swap parts, check the basics... obviously fuses as you did, then powers and grounds at the affected unit, in your case the ecu... either a power or more, or a ground are missing, or a communication wiring issue... And go from there.... 👍👍👍
@@LMAutoRepairs thanks Louis, It's stuck at the garage at the minute, the garage have apparently had an auto electrician look at it the past couple of days and he cannot find the problem, and is no further on from what I have discovered already, one thing I have noticed is that in the bsm the F10 30A fuse that's labelled (engine management, ignition coil, injection control unit) only has around 3.5V in both sides of the fuse which I'm presuming should be 12V?
Possibly... or most likely... I would have to check diagrams myself... Again, powers and grounds at the module... That's the first thing... You should have a couple of grounds, o couple of powers or so, and usually a ignition voltage or wake-up line...

I wonder why the car died and You cut the video and show it running again. It sounded like it had no compression when You cranked it again. I have heard that "weird crank" too many times.
☺ Always someone sceptic about.... Due to being off for so long, fuel has probably returned to the tank... The first run was the fuel left in the injectors, rail and pump... Toke a few attempts to get the fuel back to the front and running again... I guess if was a compression issue, would fail or would struggle to start from the first attempt... as dry would make compression even worse... Hey Loui. I have an off topic question: i just bought a 2010 mitsubishi colt 1.3 petrol. I think that the interior was deeply washed last autumn and it wasn't let dry out and now when i bought the car i have an airbag light on the dashboard that doesn't go off. My mechanic tried to erase the foult but it cannot be deleted and it says something like "airbag failure continuation time". I am 100% sure that the car wasn't involved in any accident, de exterior looks in mint conditon, under the hood, in the trunk, everywhere. Can this error come from that deep washing from last autumn? Can you give me an opinion on where should i look or how should we erase that code? Thank you!
@@LMAutoRepairs i didn't take a picture of it and i am gone for a few days but i'll come back with an error code. The central locking also did not work. I only got a fix key which when i put it in the drivers side lock and turn the key to open the door, it only opens that door, and i doesn't hear the oder door clicking, i have to open them up manually. Closing them is the same (reverse) process....it is so annoying....
@@bh25jay Look under the seats for a module or wire harness connector that was flooded in water, check for corrosion on any wires, airbag module may not be under the seat but there might be some connectors going to the seatbelts as part of the system. The light will not go out until you fix the problem, turning it off is not an option, some vehicles are self-resetting, fix the problem and the light might go out by itself. This system is very sensitive to OHMS, if there is corrosion and it has added resistance, this might be the fault but you need to know how to check this system very carefully, good luck.

Should be other powers to the ecu...
Check them all first...
I thought that no power goes to the ecu other than the wakeup line, which will cause the computer to send the ground signal to the bsm to send the other powers? I will check to see if there are any other initial powers other than the wake up line.
You should have the wake up line, a terminal 30 and a 15...
But check against diagrams, as it could be different...
👍👍👍
👍👍👍
My van have the exact same problem

Boa tarde senhor luis.como vai meu amigo?

Tudo em ordem... obrigado!

How can you tell what is the signal wire (wakeup) normally ecu gets voltage when key is turned on
No quite...
Depending on the car etc... the ecu has permanent voltage... then the wake up line tells the ecu to boot up...
Yes, some others is when key is turned on...
👍👍👍

Could you please tell me where the starter motor relay is on my peugeot 207 desiel it's on a 58 plate I've looked in fuse box under bonnet and fuse box in glove box but can't find thank you
It is probably internal in the engine fuse box...
I would have to check to make sure, but peugeot have majority of the relays installed internally on the modules...

Hiya Louis, where in the UK are you based? I have a similar fault on a Berlingo 1.6 HDI and struggling to get it sorted, do you have a website where I can contact you?
Hi
No... sorry... this is a part-time for me...
Have you done any checks at all?
Scanned the car?
👍👍👍

Hi
First I would go through the area disturbed during the work carried out... a partially broken wire, a poor connection somewhere, a ground point not tightened properly... etc...
Check everything...
Next, scan the car, see if there is any faults that might relate to the issue you have...

can you help me out is there a fuel cut off switch on a Peugeot bipper 1.3d 2012 long story short it was smoking burning oil knocking but still running fitted used engine coded injectors cleared codes cranking over good no sign of starting snap on scanner saying something about power supply primary or secondary I can't remember witch one now we have probed the in tank fuel pump and it's not getting power no fuel is coming out of the high pressure pump and I can't find a cut off switch
Hi
I am not sure where it will be on that one exactly, but they are usually located somewhere in the footwell pillar, or around that area...
Just also, double check all the connections, and make sure nothing has been plugged wrong...
Sometimes plugs are the same for different components, and can be easily swapped...

@@LMAutoRepairs Hi I expected to find one there I've found diagrams pointing to it being there but no I wouldn't expect it to have one being diesel but every thing I've checked and tested is leading me to think it has power supply foult no power to in tank pump but it's not where the very little information I can find says it should be 😕
Search for a reset procedure of the fuel system... I remember something along those lines...
@@LMAutoRepairs ok thanks I know it's going to be something simple like that in the end I just can't seem to get there the confusing thing is it still ran before we started normally I'd be questioning the used engine at this point but from what I'm finding we are just over looking something simple

@@derekweir7692
When you scanned the car, did your tool allowed you to select the BSI module and scan it, or is just a ordinary OBD reader?
I wonder why the car died and You cut the video and show it running again. It sounded like it had no compression when You cranked it again. I have heard that "weird crank" too many times.
☺
Always someone sceptic about....
Started fine after that every time, obviously my charger/booster was plugged in...
Take my work if you want...
Thank you for watching and for your comment!
@@LMAutoRepairs I guess I should have phrased my comment differently. I didn't want to imply any mistake. Just looked like a failed timing.
Thank you!
Hi
Difficult to say, without testing etc...
Do you know the code for the error?
Thank you for watching!
@@duanedonaldson2262 thanks i'll check with my mechanic.
