The Beatles one and only tour of Australia in June 1964 was incredible although the arrival in Sydney was dismal because of the torrential rain but their arrivals in Adelaide and Melbourne were incredible with thousands upon thousands of fans attending to see them (Adelaide with almost half a million people.) plus their live performances in Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and the famous televised 📺 concert in Melbourne were incredible!, Australia was never the same again after The Beatles came because they'd actually changed it!, along with the sound of popular music itself!, God bless The Beatles!!🎶☮️🧡🎸🎵
The Australian press really stand out in comparison to British and American media interviews of the Beatles in this era. They ask more interesting questions, they GET the jokes and laugh along with the boys, and the whole atmosphere is really relaxed. Australian culture is much more laid back and irreverent than Britain and America, which suits the Beatles just fine and it shows. Makes me proud to be a Sydney girl and to see that the OZ media didn't irritate the boys - they had fun!
My name is Ella, (sort of named after Ella Fitzgerald) and its so nice to hear Paul say my name ((: My actual name is Eleanore (yes, with the 'e' on the end) so I've always had a connection with Eleanor Rigby.
I wonder why they only toured Australia only once. The fans screaming their lungs out would have enticed them to return. At this time, the Beatles didn't mind the press conferences. By 1966, you tell their demeaner was totally different.
I think he was mocking the overzealous crowd, although let's be real, Lennon would've been one of the edgy kids who had a slightly worrying fascination with nazi germany if he was from this generation lol. Not hating, but Lennon did like to be a contrarian for contrarians sake
What John *should* have said was, “We’re more popular than Adolf Hitler”! Did they really seig heil? I guess you’d have to have been there to get why that was funny.
It was mocking the zealous audience I reckon. People in the 70s used to siegheil the police where I am from because the police was considered fascist. It was not because the people themselves were nazi's.
I love how much George talks in this one, it's such a rarity, but all his words are so funny or so meaningful. Love Georgey (L)
It's really nice to see George talk a little bit more than usual. He looked pretty upbeat, joking around with John....
CuteMcBeauty At this time George Loved being a Beatle and he loved being around his three bandmates (Including John and Paul)
GOD! I JUST CAN'T GET OVER GEORGES LAUGH! SO F***ING ADORABLE!
george
I always loved his laugh ❤
At about 7:10 they are asked "Do you have an acknowledged leader in the group?" John quickly stands up, leaning forward a bit, then says "Not really!"
"Well a lot of it goes to Her Majesty" *cough*
"SHE'S a millionaire!"
These boys were just damn funny!
My favourite off-the-cuff Beatles quote!
I absolutely LOVE George's laugh!!!!!
When asked interesting questions George was very talkative ❤️
George's laugh is so adorable.
George and John are so darn cute! George's and John's laughs are so sweet!
R.I.P you guys.
I LOVE GEORGE'S LAUGH AT 5:35!!!

This is the press conference where some press person asks "Do you have an acknowledged leader in the group?" John lunges up and says "Not really!"

Jimmy lived the ultimate fantasy at just the right time...
its amazing how theye are so relaxed with the Aussies...compared to other press confrences
Probably a mix of temperature and jetlag
@@callithowiseeit5806 haha true. They did ask better questions than British or American interviewers
I love Australians, they are always relaxed

My name is Sky, so they probably say my name a lot. But they're never talking about a person lol.
Really sad how it all ended up for them. Seems like happy times here..
George: I think I'll train elephants in the zoo.
I know a guy named Micky Dolenz who could help you with that.
George's laughter is so contagious....I can't stop laughing 😂🤣 I love it when he talks more than usual times...❣️
Shy George, quite a chatterbox.
"I think I'd train elephants in the zoo"
That is what I am going to say to people who ask me what I want to do.
Paul's so quiet
George is so talkative
That's why there is no such thing as a quiet Beatle, it just depended on their mood and the situation
Sono simpatici bellissimi
Oh GOD George Is Fucking Adorable, & I Love His Laugh When John Tels Him Something!

No boys, it's Australia, not Austria.
When asked what three things they'd like to do in Australia, Paul kind of coughed. I wonder if he was thinking something dirty ;P
love this!
seems like John and Paul talk over each other a lot
wow this is the first time i saw jimmy nicol and ringo together, 5 beatles on the podium
Where? What part?
@@lisettegarcia7013 at 9:15
@@jeffersondeleon1 Thank you. It's nice to see our loving drummer once again and all better.
John, Paul, George and Jimmy
It's not well known. Doesn't bring a good tune when you say their names.
Poor Jimmy Nichol looks so lost.
"We got a record contract" 🤣
Jimmy left hanging thinking John was going to light his cigarette lol
OMG George is so cute, I cant even
"I think Ive got odd socks on"
Is that what John said??

Are you millionaires
No
A lot of it goes to her majesty..
She’s a millionaire
they're just having a laugh...jesus...
Where is ringo DX it's so weird not having him sitting there
I don't love him i love John n George
Apparently John also did a Nazi salute in Germany and lots of people in the crowd did one back (hopefully most were joking lol)! Yikes
German salutes at the end? Wtf?
Those kids didn’t know what Hitler had been done. The true of his evilness was discovered years after!
The Beatles were more popular than Adolf Hitler
@Wise and Free Exactly. The Beatles even made fun of homosexuals
@@HannahFaith69 only John
Australians are good like that..
George is SO cute here.Just want to hug him ❤
:D
who the hell wound up George....he won't shut up..😂
*Proud to be Aussie*
Why did they say "Deutschland uber alles?"

Pfft. Jimmie Nicol.
J Ciner
Jimmy may have been a better drummer than Ringo .
@@SuperAnimelover100 Technically yes but Ringo created great drum part for The Beatles.
Ewwwww somebody get Jimmy Nichols off the screen he is not a Beatle!!!! He is ruining the others adorableness!
Alyssabeth _
Jimmy looks just fine !
The boys were grateful to Jimmy for saving the tour. Paul says, “You did grand!”
Jimmy left hanging thinking John was going to light his cigarette lol
