- Subtitled a Valse Swing by the famous piano accordionist and composer Louis Ferrari (1910-1988); he was born in Paris of an Italian immigrant family. I'm playing from a 1948, P.B.A. 83 Leon Agel copyright publication, in Editions Paul Beuscher. I've played it too fast here (quarter note = 200-208) only because it probably allows me to make infinitesimal mistakes that are barely heard! Seriously, most players do it at 180...so what's a few metronome beats among friends? Ferrari wrote great melodies. The introductory phrase seems to be straight out of Chopin, doesn't it? I fell in love the minute I played the first six notes. Section A and B are in C minor, and the trio in C major. Lovely, enchanting chord progressions support this Parisian guinguette favorite. I am playing my beautifully restored Virgilio Soprani French musette accordion with the LED lights on under the grille. Not sure you can see that but needed to keep the room lights on as I have not memorized this one yet.

You are fine. The Soprani is good. The waltz is nice.

sweet song played beautifully! doesn't opening sound like Furelise?
just a little, but closer to Chopin, I think.
