A big LIKE for Wild Kratts! My kids have learned SOOOO much from the Kratt brothers and tell me wild facts all the time!
Absolutely, we were at the zoo today and my kids were teaching me things 😆
I love these review videos! It's great to see them side by side. ❤️❤️
Me too! Best style of curriculum review!
Thank you both so much. The encouragement is appreciated! Glad it helps!
We really enjoy the Christian Liberty Nature Readers ;)
My son loves Wild Kratts! We have the same problem with certain curriculums not going into enough detail.
I just found your channel a few days ago! Enjoying the videos.
I'm so glad. I hope I can be an encouragement to you!
How old is your son?
We have used Abeka science book as a reader for them to have more practice with reading new words for K and 1st/2nd grade and get interesting facts, but I would try to read aloud Abeka alphabet friends or their Language Development cards, library book to match the topic they're into or watching just a documental later on afternoons. :)
Yes, your video made me think I need to get serious about it, so maybe this year we gonna go for apologies book, but I think we may go 12 weeks, so maybe we use 3 books in school year, then finish them up the next
Great review. We've tried Abeka science the exact one you shared. Thanks for sharing this mama!
What do you guys use?
@@FamilyStyleLearning we are using science for little hearts and hands from the good and the beautiful, and we are also using campfire curriculums this next coming year and I like creating my own unit studies based on my kids interest and adding mini unit studies from mega bundles that I have purchased in the past :) I also really enjoyed gather round when we tried it out last year! So many good things out there lol
Unit studies are such great ways to learn. I love it! I've never tried campfire curriculums but they are on my list to check out. Typically we make our own or use gather around.
Another Great review Abby! ❤️
Thanks Morgan!
I sure do hope you make the science books for kids video. That would be GREAT!
Lol. I filmed it yesterday. I'll have it out soon! Thanks for the encouragement.
Video is scheduled to post next Tuesday!
@@FamilyStyleLearning That's exciting news. Thanks for filming it! Can't wait!
masterbooks american history is excellent also has audio and we make our own timeline too.
I always have one eye on Masterbooks. They have great stuff!
I think we're going to have my 10yo read Apologia on his own (as a free read). He's animal obsessed, but I want to expose him to other types of science as our actual curriculum. Luckily our library has the whole series :)
Oh, that's a good idea!
Wow! What a great library!
This track is on Brandon's channel...I had flashbacks to his channel haha
Ha ha yes, he recommended it to me. I have such a hard time with music.
Science has been such a hard subject for me to find something I like and something I will use.
What has been your favorite so far that you've tried?
@@FamilyStyleLearning I really have no favorite that I have tried. But, this year I'm super excited about trying out Guest Hollow's science curriculum. We will be doing Junior Anatomy and Guest Hollow is literature based, but also has lots of activities and RUclips videos linked. Otherwise, I've basically been disappointed each year. We have done nature journaling for 2 years, which is good... when we actually do it...
what is a good science unit study? I love TGATB layout but don't want to support them wondering if you have any suggestions.
In two weeks I hope to release my Gather Round science haul. How old are our kids?
@@FamilyStyleLearning 11,10, 8
@@jessiemadanat5455 Have you tried Gather Round? Your kids are a great age to start it. You can use as little or as much as you want.
I was really leaning towards apologia but after your review im not so sire anymore lol. I dont think we would enjoy sticking to only one topic for so long. We have been using masterbooks and i really like it but apologia got my attention with the two day a week and audio 😅
@@doulaolgamke to make things more complicated. I would highly highly recommend checking out Generations. We are currently doing apology astronomy and I really enjoy it but Generations has become my number one pic for Christian Science curriculum
@@doulaolgamke also, I intend on doing a comparison science curriculum video again within the next few weeks
@@FamilyStyleLearning I've never heard if generations. I'll check it out. Thank you.

I also have several videos reviewing their history
What about masterbooks? Is it similar to Abeka?
I included Masterbooks in this review. I really like the Masterbooks approach.
Have you tried BFSU?
Thanks for asking. I had never heard of it. After a quick look it seems to be a secular curriculum and I'm so in awe of God's creation I couldn't imagine not including him in science. So, personally I wouldn't use it, but there seem to be several reviews from other channels.
