After having radiation my husband had what looked like 2nd degree burns around his neck. 3 or 4 months after treatment he lost teeth and bone structure on the side they hit hardest with radiation. Today we are 2 yrs, in & just learned his thyroid is damaged... will need medication for the rest of his life. His small cancer was near his voice box. He looks as if he has aged 30 years over night. I'm not kidding. The good news is he is cancer free so far. 😪

I'm nearly 8 weeks after the end of 7 weeks of intensive radio & chemotherapy for tonsil cancer, my taste is slowly coming back & I'm on a solid food diet now but, I get terrible dizzy spells & my tinnitus is almost unbearable now.
Anyone who’s going to start treatment, please remove your teeth before you start! Don’t let these Drs. Tell you otherwise! No dentist is equipped to treat your fried teeth! The pain and agony from this is awful! And afterwards please check your heart! So many patients die of massive heart attacks afterwards because they don’t tell you anything! It’s shameful what these hospitals do!

Ensure and Boost drinks for 6 months I did not eat. Lost 65 pounds. Skin and bones
Didn't oncology weigh you each visit. They gave 6 drinks a day roughly 1600 hundred calories.
Yes, I went from 225lbs to 160lbs in6 months and drank 6 Boost or Ensure drinks a day. Diareaha and vomitting were terrbile 20 times a day. Luckily, I started eating a little eventually. Very dry mouth. Fibrosis of the neck really bad now. If I don't get some decent pain meds, I am going to start drinking again. This is BS. The U.S. Army tried to kill me by putting me at the most contaminated place in America. Bastards@@Rena-ol7dn
@@Rena-ol7dnI've had massive issues with swallowing ensures & not once have I got close to 6 a day.
1600 calories still falls short by 400!

@@Rena-ol7dn A peg wasn't even mentioned until after it was too late, even though I was very vocal about rejecting opiate pain relief
