I’m brazilian and (obviously) a LOUD stan, but maaaaan do I love yay. This dude is so humble, hard-working and plain talented. He oozes good sportsmanship, so great to see ❤
I’m excited to see where he goes next!
insane guest wtf
Man it's genuinely inspiring to hear at 27:25 how ESL's greedy franchising decisions fucked Yay's life over and how Valorant gave him a second chance. I saw theScore's vid on him before and knew he got through a lot of rough stuffs like toxic team environments and such but this is new to me. Thanks for the history lesson bro, us zoomers appreciate it.
and now riot pulling the rug by not inviting the best NA team to their franchise league
@@hjelpen5387 yeah but im pretty sure our yayster will find a franchise team this time. I just hope the team chemistry and coaching staff is awesome. I personally hope he goes to 100T replacing Will. No hate to Will tho, he's a good talent.
For future reference, RL and Thorin are the go to history ppl. Soon as I discovered their content, I immediately stopped watching Score.
yay is super articulate compared to most pro players, great guest
Cool, wasn't expecting this. Always hoping you would do more Valorant content but I understand. Love your work brother, stay safe and keep it up.
sick interview Richard, the GOAT is so humble.
Awesome interview, really fantastic questions and discussions. Hope to see you cover more valorant!
58:00 - 1:09:30
Pros in NA should listen to this part of the segment above i have marked it.
Richard brings up the point about the NA culture how they have this frat mentality, and yay elaborates more on this and his experience of how he couldn't even join in pro 10s because he wasn't friends with certain people. Also yay talks about here about the good balance of competing and streaming. Richard Lewis thank you so much for bringing up these topics because I am honestly sick and tired of NA's culture and mentality and how they go about their careers. Lacks professionalism and it just like a mess with bunch of little boys fraternity group.
Believe it or not I've been following this guy since his AndBox days and as much as I loved him grow as a player and seeing him rise to number 1, I absolutely love him for the person he is.
Nothing but best wishes for his journey ahead. Diablo😈>>
Same. I remember whenever 100T faced andbox and an expected easy game became very very hard only because this man started doing insane stuff
yay on sage and he was still fragging out
You missed his Complexity CS career?
Andbox days? That is still relatively new, you missed out on his CS days on Complexity.
I love how easily you talk to people. It is masterful and beautiful to watch.
Yay and Zellsis are the two players that made me respect the NA region again, they are so cool on stream and just have a great mentality. Best of luck to both of them, hopefully everyone gets the spot they deserve in a franchised team. Also Richard, you still make the best content and have the best interviews after all the time, idk how you old beetle pull this off since like 15 years or so. Keep it up!
what I liked most about the valorant competitive scene is how it was similar to rocket league, where there are always these bug name teams that r gonna be good, but pretty much every tourney there's one smaller team where everyone pops off, always keeps things interesting
Same. And now franchising is gonna take that aspect away. Fuck riot man.
Valorant ppl don't get and here is Richard casually dropping an interview with the best valorant player
Amazing how eloquent yay is. Hitting talking points as well heads
Sheeesh thanks for the content brother. Yay, nats and scream are my favorite Val pros. Do interviews with the other two sometimes too if possible.
Prime Luminosity v.s Prime LOUD is an imaginary matchup that just makes me salivate
No way he drops this bomb on a sunday
11:00 flashpoint owners holding the heaviest bags possible.
I followed Yay back before andbox days back in Ignite. When everyone thought he and sick were cheating rofl glad he is finding success in Valorant
been following yay since coL, glad hes the best player in valorant. can't wait to watch him in franchising
What a great guy and what a great interview. Thanks for the content
Love the Valorant content Richard, hopefully there is more to come!
Wonderful interview, great answers by Yay, especially to the penultimate question
I love how you still say from optic, best of luck to yay in the offseason, green wall is going to miss him
yay is such a baller talking this open about the riot situation
Such a great guest.
Dayummm rlewis still got it.
Richard should start a valorant podcast with Slasher and Sliggy
Yay inspires me a lot to follow my dreams and gives me indirectly advice to succeed in my own field
Loved this podcast, appreciate the content Richard
Nice content, good to see Rlewis putting interest on valorant.
23:07 hard truth right there.
Is there anywhere I can read about how the franchise league system works? It blows my mind that top teams can be left out in the cold.
Video came out 26 mins ago, video is 80 mins long, how are you guys commenting like you've watched the complete video?
Part of the reason they didn’t get in (I just started the pod but I have to go do something so if it’s mentioned later on then it is) is because of optics League of legends situation. Apparently they had a spot in LCS then just sold it or dropped out or something like that and that kinda tarnished their relationship with optic / riot. That’s also a main reason why T1 got in.
I remember back in the day when DaZeD would make Rank S videos and the comments would be flooded (ironically) with "I don't know who this yayster guy is but I think he has potential". Come so far since then.
Funny stuff🤣
Okay so it's like Copenhagen Flames but so much more painful
Really good, good story for yay too.
thanks for the content
wow was def not expecting this pretty huge
For any league people: Yay is currently considered one of, if not the best Valorant player in the world for the past few months.
Wish the camera was flipped
Richard with the based ideas. Bring yay into 4 horsemen
Daddy yay!!!
Gonna miss yay. Sucks OpTic didn’t make the league. Hopefully they can make it I n the future. Or just get a top tier CS team.
ohhhhhhhhhhh shit we got el diablo!
C9 yay? Pog
Take a drink everytime Yay says "like". How fast do u get drunk
Yay
yay's a great dude and so are you richard, thanks.
Diablo
sound
😢
Imagine PARTNER teams not willing to buy out players to get the best team they can have, this is pathetic from riot, let optic play
loved the video by Richard. Wish I got unblocked lmao
LMFAO
Shame because yayster seemed pretty dedicated to CSGO and loved the game but had to switch due to being fucked over.
Great stuff, though I absolutely will not be supporting Riot / Valorant in any way due to them causing Carlos to be fired becuase of a bad tweet
@VK I'm pretty sure Carlos' tweets were the reason Riot didn't include G2 in the franchised league, which is a huge blow to the org. So yeah, Riot is the reason (cause) for Carlos being fired.
There's a 4 Horsemen episode about this. As far as I remember: G2 secured a spot in VCT NA; then Carlos' tweets caused a shitshow and Riot decided to reject G2 and give the spot to Leviatan; the G2 players then tweeted about being open to offers from franchised teams, meaning the team was disbanded.
Support Comment.
fuck yay, new video
im a comedy genius
Australia is a nice place to live! Just saying!
They talkin bout the Sentinels lol no proper coach and player driven org
time stamp?
Optic as an ORG is not successful, theyve done jack shit outside of CoD and pull out of every game n drop their roster. Thats why they arnt in...
