    I’m brazilian and (obviously) a LOUD stan, but maaaaan do I love yay. This dude is so humble, hard-working and plain talented. He oozes good sportsmanship, so great to see ❤
    I’m excited to see where he goes next!

    Man it's genuinely inspiring to hear at 27:25 how ESL's greedy franchising decisions fucked Yay's life over and how Valorant gave him a second chance. I saw theScore's vid on him before and knew he got through a lot of rough stuffs like toxic team environments and such but this is new to me. Thanks for the history lesson bro, us zoomers appreciate it.

      @@hjelpen5387 yeah but im pretty sure our yayster will find a franchise team this time. I just hope the team chemistry and coaching staff is awesome. I personally hope he goes to 100T replacing Will. No hate to Will tho, he's a good talent.

    58:00 - 1:09:30
    Pros in NA should listen to this part of the segment above i have marked it.
    Richard brings up the point about the NA culture how they have this frat mentality, and yay elaborates more on this and his experience of how he couldn't even join in pro 10s because he wasn't friends with certain people. Also yay talks about here about the good balance of competing and streaming. Richard Lewis thank you so much for bringing up these topics because I am honestly sick and tired of NA's culture and mentality and how they go about their careers. Lacks professionalism and it just like a mess with bunch of little boys fraternity group.

    Believe it or not I've been following this guy since his AndBox days and as much as I loved him grow as a player and seeing him rise to number 1, I absolutely love him for the person he is.
    Nothing but best wishes for his journey ahead. Diablo😈>>

    Yay and Zellsis are the two players that made me respect the NA region again, they are so cool on stream and just have a great mentality. Best of luck to both of them, hopefully everyone gets the spot they deserve in a franchised team. Also Richard, you still make the best content and have the best interviews after all the time, idk how you old beetle pull this off since like 15 years or so. Keep it up!

    what I liked most about the valorant competitive scene is how it was similar to rocket league, where there are always these bug name teams that r gonna be good, but pretty much every tourney there's one smaller team where everyone pops off, always keeps things interesting

    • @shirshojyoti3472
      @shirshojyoti3472 2 года назад

      Same. And now franchising is gonna take that aspect away. Fuck riot man.

  • @grantlang1187
    @grantlang1187 2 года назад

    Part of the reason they didn’t get in (I just started the pod but I have to go do something so if it’s mentioned later on then it is) is because of optics League of legends situation. Apparently they had a spot in LCS then just sold it or dropped out or something like that and that kinda tarnished their relationship with optic / riot. That’s also a main reason why T1 got in.

    Great stuff, though I absolutely will not be supporting Riot / Valorant in any way due to them causing Carlos to be fired becuase of a bad tweet

    • @mrscreechu
      @mrscreechu 2 года назад

      @VK I'm pretty sure Carlos' tweets were the reason Riot didn't include G2 in the franchised league, which is a huge blow to the org. So yeah, Riot is the reason (cause) for Carlos being fired.
      There's a 4 Horsemen episode about this. As far as I remember: G2 secured a spot in VCT NA; then Carlos' tweets caused a shitshow and Riot decided to reject G2 and give the spot to Leviatan; the G2 players then tweeted about being open to offers from franchised teams, meaning the team was disbanded.
