Best review for this watch on RUclips!
Marco Belgrade oh wow! Thank you!!
You are welcome! Keep doing more videos like this!
This watch is seriously underrated. Own some high-end stuff, yet this is getting all my wrist time lately. The bang for buck and finish is insane.
I've got like 6 Paganis and they're all incredible for not even costing $100 each. The Milgauss homage in particular is really really well done.
👏
Its pretty remarkable how a watch can be priced so low, especially with how few shortcomings there are
thepainteditor Absolutely Agree. Thank you for watching and commenting!

Cause a 7 year old in China made it.
Nice review Miguel. Glad you earned a new respect for homage pieces. I love that these Chinese brands are starting to put pressure on traditional brands to step up there game.
Just a Second 🙏 totally agree!
This was such a well executed and concise review, man. It’s baffling how they can stuff all those specs and sell it so inexpensively. Keep’em coming, Miguel! 👌
Modern Regimen thank you and I agree 100% 🙏
Agree, Seiko need to either up their game or lower their prices
Great review! I placed my order this morning. I have an Skx and a few Parnis watches (submariner and GMT) that being said, this Pagani Sub looks much more well built than my current pieces. The ceramic bezel and sapphire crystal is a very nice touch.
Wear it in good health my friend!
Wearing my Pagani PD-1639 while watching your review. I really like this watch.
I'm planning to buy this watch. It's really a value for money watch. I love the review as well as other reviews for this watch. Thanks.
Thank you and I’m sure you’re going to love the watch!
Awesome review, Miguel!
I think the value for money ratio of this watch is just crazy. You get a lot more than what you pay for.
My Chinese Watch Collection Agree 100%
Great review! I love your set up and videography!

Excellent review brother. Best one yet. I like the music, new calipers (which I need an upgrade), and those macro shots were a nice touch. I really enjoyed this video and you made me want this watch. Nice job!
Avg. Joe Watch Reviews 🙏 appreciate the positive feedback man! This watch is really a nice piece and would fit in any collection very well!
Great video. And fair review..just bought this as a hulk. Can't wait. For me can't go wrong for price!!
Ryan Newby 🙏 thank you and congrats!
Really good review. I like the decoration of the table! Good luck to your channel!
Ludwig F 🙏
Great review! It’s amazing the specs they cram into their watches for such a low price!
It really is and thank you 🙏
I’ve got the gold version of this for just over a year and I love it. I wear it more than my TAG Heuer. I’ve just ordered this exact model and color to wear at work.
Nice man 👍🏼
Hello, hopefully you got the Watch. So what is your experience, has it good finishing quality. ??
@@IRFAN-po5sz I have the watch away, I never really wore it. However for the price you can’t go wrong 👍🏼
@@IRFAN-po5sz I wear it to work and it’s a fantastic watch. I like the all brushed steel bracelet the 1639 has. I just wish the time was a little more accurate but that’s just my watch.
Good and accurate review!
I own the same Pagani watch and it is great.
As great as the watch is, I also share the same criticisms with the lume and the rough metal feeling when screwing down the crown.
The edges of the bracelet need to be chamferred as the edges are a bit sharp and dig into the skin later in the day when the arm swells/expands.
Finally the diameter is also a little too big for my slender arm and wrist - just wished it was 2 mm smaller in diameter.
Having said that, these are only minor issues of an overall fantastic watch!
Harminder Kambow Agree with you 100%, Thanks for watching!
I've been saying for ages that Seiko needs to up it game. They have great designs, but are let down by poor build quality/components. That's why I don't own any... But I do own a few Seiko homages. Which ironically have better specs and cost lost. Obviously you don't the heritage with homages, but personally that's not issue for me.
I think the likes of Steeldive and San Martin are far better value proportions to be honest. The build quality on San Martins in particular is fantastic.
Really good review mate.
That’s a very strong opinion right there, and you bring up some valid points! Thanks for the support my man.
The homage watch brands are building their own heritage. Seiko needs to get in to the 2020 watch game.
Yet another bang tidy video. Well done fella. Loving the visuals of your channel ..
time in the uk 🙏
Thanks for putting this review together, really good stuff.
🙏
Really impressed by this watch for the price... can’t really be beaten. If I don’t win the competition I’ll definitely be buying one soon enough!!
Hywel Evans thank you for the support and when I hit 1000 subscribers, I’ll make another video about this giveaway. I agree you get a lot for the $!
Great review!! PD needs to take a queue from Invicta (Yes, I said that)...if it has a presentation back cover, it needs the movement dressed up a bit...Change the rotor, or decorate it!!! Looks great on the Nato!!! Thanks!!!
Thanks for the support man!
Well done video and completely agree. I have more than one Pagani based on value and price. Run and look great. Keep up the great work!
David Benadon 🙏
Great summary review. The seiko movement was also the reason I got this watch along with great specs as a bonus. The lume is not the brightest but last right through the night on mine. Hope you get those subs 👍
Andy Abraham 🙏
Watching this video while wearing my PD-1662 GMT Black and Blue nice video!
Teddy Henriquez That’s a handsome watch, Congrats man.
Looks really good for the cost. Nice video.
TimeToGo Travel And Timepieces Bob, you should definitely check one out. Impressive how much watch you get for the $. Thanks for the support brother!
you've earned my sub for this kinda review... keep it up! \m/
Much appreciated 🙏
I’ve got the “hulk” colored one. Good watch, especially for the money. The lug distance is a little long but it still wears well enough. Good watch to wear on a nato for a beater.
Levi Stevenson Absolutely agree!
Nice buddy! Hey that red pin strips NATO kills it on that Pagani!
Daily WristChecker 🙏 and I agree!
Great review Miguel, I love the way you respected the watch in your presentation even though it is a >$100 watch. Personally, I like homage watches - I don't see myself ever owning a Rolex but I do like the style of their watches. It is disappointing that the Pagani has 21mm lugs, it is such an odd size. Thank you an excellent video :)
🙏! I agree with you on the lug width! Nonetheless you can still fit a 22 mm strap in there no problem. Thank you for the support.
Great review man, love it!
🙏
Good review, subscribed! 👍
Thank you 🙏
Thx for the video 👍 if it wasn't for that massive 52mm Lug to lug size I just might go for it, by the way do you think it wears bigger then a Casio duro?
Thank you for watching and I’ve never had the opportunity to handle a Casio Duro. Best of luck 👍🏼
Very very good review, I have one Pagani Hulk, and a Rolex Submariner too and I do not why? Incredible...but whats is better... 🤔
Great review my brother!
Ross Wrist Watch Love 🙏
I love them I bought 2 on Manufactory price for only $49 So I bought one black and one green Love them very much.
👏
Now is price high thanks to the reviews...
Nice review , I have the green version and it really has a great set of specs for the money. I paid £53 / $68 in the 11/11 Ali express sale. I would also recommend the Pagani Design mechaquartz PD- 2720k with the Seiko vk67 movement.
David Wilson - Congrats and thanks for watching!
I have both (green 'Hulk' sub) and the 2720k Mecha-Q chronograph .... next on my list is the Daytona homage from Pagani ... Cadisen also makes a nice Longines Conquest homage.
Karl Senula Very nice!
@@SoCalWatchReviews the 2720k is very nice .. has a bit of a Junghans Maxbill look.
Thank you for the nice review!
I bought this recently and it is a decent time piece:)
Hello friend, can you update how is it working by now? Does it keep the time well?
@@abellustgarten4002 H! My watch delays around 10sec per a day:)
Sorry again...10 seconds per day is ir considered good or bad??? I have no experience with automatic watches
@@abellustgarten4002 I think it is good for the price.
If Rolex delays like that, I do not recommend;)

Great review. Just bought two!
Congrats and thanks for watching!
Really good review, thank you!
Jeffrey KRUPA Thank you 🙏
Nicely explained.
Best for everyday wear ! quite fine quality for the price.
Thanks for watching!
How does it feel to be wearing it day to day, considering you were/are very much against homage watches?
Steve Dan it actually felt pretty good, even got compliments from non watch people. Thank you for watching!
This is my beater watch for work, I get a lot of compliments on it too, which I was not expecting. Feels great for the price point.
SoCal Watch Reviews That’s awesome! I’m glad it turned out well. :)
Fits like a glove on your wrist. Yeah, I don't think so. It looks too big on your wrist. Very subjective I know. I have ordered one these watches and I think it won't make me happy because of the sizing
But after that I think is possibly the best well-priced homage watch out there. Nicely made video Ive subscribed. Cheers
I don’t mind big watches, it’s all a matter of opinion. Thanks for watching and subscribing!!
Very informative thank you,I do like this watch.
Roddy 🙏
Yo! i see this is a super old review, but iw as curious, what size bands did you get for the replacement bands? you didnt have any issues with the pins being the wrong size?
I think I put a 22mm, but honestly I forgot 😂
Good stuff, my man!
Everett Meadows - Appreciate it my brother!
In the recent 1661 models they modified the case and the crown sticks out too big, there are nearly no guards around it, they ruined it somehow. Maybe they are using the crown used on the 1639?
Maybe… thank you for watching!
Skx on a uncle Seiko president bracelet, I have the same combo, absolutely love that bracelet
You have great taste!
Great review. I'd love to win this watch in the competition 😍
How to choose nato trap? How many milometer bro?
I believe it was 20mm. I got rid of the watch a while back ago.
I have this watch for the last 6mth and I where it every day
shades 👍🏽
SoCal Watch Reviews I got this watch for exactly what you described, a beater I would not be hesitant to wear, after seeing several reviews. I’ve really come to like it. You can find fine details to squabble about compared to much more expensive watches, but I find those unnoticeable in daily wear. I think it is remarkably good for the price.
Do you "wear" it every "where"?
Why wouldn't he wear it everywhere its a watch...
Did you use 22mm bands?
Weird thing about this watch is that the lug width is 19mm, but some of my 20mm straps don’t fit on it. Therefore I actually did use 22mm. It’s an interesting watch for sure!
Very nice
Nice review
🙏
Is it 40mm model?
Yea
Nein die 1639 hat 43mm
Where do you buy your straps

@@SoCalWatchReviews Is there an Aliexpress store
VzDkz I’m sure there is , but I have never tried to purchase from there. Sorry
Hi where can you get that Leather strap please
Aloha Poppet I got it on Amazon years ago, I’m sure you can go with a Barton strap, I hear they’re really good.
@@SoCalWatchReviews Thanks.. Just to double check the strap will need to be 21mm to fit this.?
Aloha Poppet This particular leather one is 22mm, in fact all the one I tried on this were 22mm. I think Pagani is all over the place with their manufacturing. One of the biggest downfalls of Chinese watches is the QC. In short, I think 21mm would be the sweet spot, but don’t quote me on that and yours may be a little different.
@@SoCalWatchReviews Thanks I have just ordered one of these and think it looks so much better on that strap. I brought a Rolex GMT Pepsi last year (treated myself) I am looking at getting a Rolex Yacht Master next. Thanks again for the help.
Aloha Poppet Congrats! Those are some beautiful watches.
Hope you enjoyed the review. As promised this watch will be given away once we hit 1000 subscribers, please help us get there!
You are already at more than 400 subs! The quality of this video is sure to attract more viewers - very well done Miguel!
Jeffrey Wood Thank you so much! Very humbling to have 400 subscribers!
Hello, nice review. Can you tell me what's your wrist size?
Hancu Catalin Thank you and 6 7/8”
@@SoCalWatchReviews thanks. Do you think it will be a good fit for a 7.5 inch wrist?
What is the size of the bracelets for this watch ?
21mm
@@SoCalWatchReviews thank you very much!!!
I have an SKX and a Pagani. The Pagani is superior than the Seiko in every way possible other than the movement.
Thank you for sharing 👍🏼
I’m looking forward to a review of the Pagini pd-1661; the new 40mm version.
Once we hit 1K hopefully things will change. Meaning that I hope to get watches in for review that are borrowed or given to the channel. At the moment the wife has put a STOP to any new watch purchases 😂
I am in the same position. Wife not happy, nobody happy.
Good review.
Nisokies Nafokies thank you 🙏
Can you do a review of the new pagani Design root beer ? 😲😲😲
That would be cool, I’ll see if I have a little extra $ to pick one up.
Ordered a blue and a black one. I own a genuine Rolex Submariner, so I won't feel funny wearing homages. Should get the watches in about another week,
James Mcmanamy That’s awesome, congrats!!
Hi, steel bracelet is 21 mm so nato straps that you tryed are 20mm or 22mm?
Thanks
20mm
It's mentioned 43mm in others videos
I’m getting a reading of 42.5mm not 43mm, it’s a big boy for sure.
@@SoCalWatchReviews one more question please, is the bezel align well at 12 o'clock
@@MrAlim5 This one does
@@SoCalWatchReviews thx sir
I always ask myself..how is there no review about the long term durability of these watches.
Great point. I still have mine, however since I bought I have only worn it 3 times so it’s practically brand new. Therefore it would be u fair to make a durability video. However, I may do some other fun videos with it!
Nato strap size 20 or 22mm? Factory width 21mm, there are very few in this size
I made this video when I first started getting into RUclips and collecting. There’s a ton of 21mm option in the market 👍🏼
I was planning on getting a 21mm barton elite silicone strap to fit this pagani design sub. But do you think I could get away with a 22mm sized strap so I can fit it on both my Pagani and SKX? :)
mikes41720 You know what, the weirdest thing is that some 22mm straps I have fit the Pagani and others didn’t . Therefore I would say plan on buying the strap for your SKX and if it fits the Pagani that’s awesome. Otherwise you would have to buy the 21mm one.
@@SoCalWatchReviews I already have some straps for my SKX though. I guess the Pagani needs some love right now since I don't have a dedicated strap for it, so I guess I'll go with the 21mm. Thanks man!
I just ordered one but they say I have to wait two weeks if I want the seiko movement did anyone else have to wait
Thank you for watching and I don’t know to be honest.
Received my Pagani Design watch only 5 hours ago and, I'l be putting it on auction tomorrow. I feel a little ripped off to be honest.
magnifying
Green socks What’s wrong with it?
@@SoCalWatchReviews Firstly, I must say the packaging was impressive. Nice box and the little things like the protective plastic seemed to hint there was something special underneath. Unfortunately the bezel doesn't line up correctly with the 12 O'clock mark. It is nearly a second askew from it. Secondly the magnifying window for the date is on an obvious angle to the date. Not good. Thirdly, the GMT hand doesn't follow the hour hand around the dial. It took three hours for the GMT hand to advance one hour. ?? Positives? Nice looking watch, lovely bracelet and, it seems to keep pretty good time.
Nice review. Good watch for that price the Pagani but the hands are too hort, especially the minute hand.
Rolex replica AF factory or PD ???
I have a very very strong opinion about homage watches. I have a new video coming out this week addressing the topic, stay tuned 👍🏼
Good review bro
Samuel Ruiz 🙏
Looks like the Sea Dweller.
LOL--one inch is exactly equivalent to 2.54 cm. Otherwise, a great presentation. Conversational but still quick, dimensions don't bog down the beginning, photography is informative and pretty.
Match has never been one of my strengths 😂 honestly is a lot of work to do long reviews and most my viewers prefer shorter reviews! It’s a win win 😃. Thanks for watching!!
This video states you’ll give away this watch in the description. Who won? No video announcement since you’ve surpassed 1k subs.
Conquistador de Duchas I have yet to give the watch away. The giveaway is only going to be for people in the US due to COVID and the crazy shipping prices. I haven’t gotten around to making the giveaway video just yet.
Seiko has gotten complacent. They are starting to course correct with their luxe and prospex line though
💯
I’ve just bought one of these exact watches. Agree with everything you say apart from: bezel is very cheap feeling and has significant back-play. Not something I’ll spend any time playing with. The bracelet links are good, however the clasp is terrible. Stiff and poorly machined/sharpish edges. The very cheapest SEIKO clasp is much better made - I know you watch vloggers have a thing about SEIKO bracelets (and alignment) but your comparison of clasp here is way out..! Overall I’d say this watch is a reasonable homage, not the best. Best I’ve experienced directly is the Steeldive Cpt Willard. Nothing replaces the feeling of having an original though...
Thank you for watching.
What's the reason that internet watch nerds don't like homage watches? Why can every restaurant sell a burger and every clothing company sell a pair of jeans without watch guys losing their god damn minds? Seems very inconsistent. Nobody is able to articulate their reasoning.
Phafanapolis I totally agree with you there!
If Pagani steps up their lume and tweaks the bezel a pinch, no one is gonna buy a Seiko. Why would they? Seiko uses that Hardlex when Pagani has a Saphire crystal. Pagani uses an authentic Seiko H35 movement. Just. Like. Seiko.
Because Seiko has history Pagani none!!
Seiko, step up their game 🤣
They've known about the bezel alignment problem for years, yet couldn't be asked to deal with it.
Seiko's new updated replacement for the SKX's hasn't fixed the problem ether.
I own an Invicta Bluesy and the Pagani Hulk, the Pagani is far superior to the Invicta, yet both are superior to the Seiko divers. Go figure!
My Orient Ray II which is also cheaper then Seiko has perfect alignment.
Seiko is very overrated in my opinion.
MagicThighs - I gotta say that I grew with you in the sense that Seiko have dropped the ball for a while now and at the new price points are starting to become less and less of a value proposition!
Especially considering Homage companies like Steeldive & Proxima do not have Seiko's alignment issues and are bona fide specs monsters.
Steeldive, Proxima, Heimdallr & San Martin all have killer lume, easily comparable to Seiko's own and their build quality is insane, even better than Seiko's.
And they are built right for WR, unlike the 'hit & miss' Loreos, Parnis-es etc.
Still looks like a submariner on the nato straps
👍🏼 thank you 🙏 for your support.
Lug to lug 51.9mm??? That's a deal breaker
💯
@SoCal Watch Reviews I have an invicta pro diver 42mm. It just fits on my 6.8 inch wrist but was thinking of this 40mm Pegani because of the smaller size. Turns out the Lug to lug from my 42mm invicta is 51mm. That's crazy a smaller watch like the Pegani has a 3mm larger lug to lug width.
Bought one directly from the Pagani shop. They advertise that it comes with Seiko movement but the watch comes with a different movement Myiota Brand. Manual winding is horrible and sounds metal scraping against metal. Luminesce is as poor as nonexistence, and if you claim they just tell you to ship it back at your expense. You get what you pay for and Chinese factories still have a terrible, nonexistent costumer service!
That’s why this was the one and only Pagani I ever bought. I ended up giving it away!
Pagani state this as a 20mm bracelet...
It’s not, all my 20mm straps for loose on it, J think mine is more like 21mm. I recently bought a caliper, going to double check the specs on it.
60 clicks bezel, not 90 clicks, actually.
👍🏼
BA TOONS ??
Like baton hands, baton indexes are a thick, rectangular style of hour marker. Baton indexes are more robust than the similarly shaped stick indexes. For this reason, they’re highly legible on the dial. This also allows watchmakers to equip them with elements like luminosity for better visibility in the dark. Most often, you’ll find baton indexes used on sport and tool watches because of their functional properties. Some examples of watches with baton indexes include the IWC Aquatimer and Panerai Luminor.
