I’ve had my Pagani diver for about a year and a half. I purchased it on your recommendation and…i hafta say…i love it. I have owned two Explorer II and a GMT Master II and I love them and their profound level of craftsmanship. For $99-$139 to even remotely come close is a feat by itself. The weight, the feel, the look, and - most important for me - the durability of this watch has been both immensely impressive and immensely satisfying. Thank you for your research and recommendations!!
Just wanted to let you know, that, of all the watch reviewers and bloggers and lifestyle vloggers I subscribe to, including educational and otherwise that have nothing to do with watches, this is the channel I get most stoked about, by a good margin, when new content is released. The energy, sense of humor, conciseness, honesty, lack of frills BUT abundance of style.... please don't stop making content!
I have mine for 2 weeks now and I'm loving it. It runs at +3s a day wich is awesome. Couple of flaws - bezel doesn't line up and the lume is pretty poor. Great recommendation, thanks Jody ! Keep up the great work !
I just got a PD-1639M for just $59.99 and I’m loving it! No problems so far (lume lasts the entire night without even charging it) and the movement came with only +3s/day! Didn’t even have to regulate the sucker. Now that’s something I can be proud of! PS: I have no affiliation with PaganiDesign and I would rather say all this about an American made watch. But reality is different.
I'm thinking the same thing. I have not been interested in a dive watch but agreed the price is outstanding and since its sapphire and seiko movement, ok... i'll throw it in the cart and press the button on sale day.
@asdad asdasd if I'm not mistaken, 10 bars is equal to 145 PSI and the 100 meters is about 200 feet. so yes, I would consider this is a dive watch I just checked the site and even though it says 100m on the face, beside the watch in the listing it says raining or washing hands as far as water resistance. Kind of misleading as far as I'm concerned.
@@scottym3 100 meters is 330 feet and a dive watch must be 200 meters or more. I doubt this Is truly even 100m due to how cheap it is. It does look nice.
The Lume 2 1/2 hours later was keeping up with my Seiko chronograph. Both clearly legible in the dark and I stopped checking after that. I was pleasantly surprised.
Mine's just in. Looks nice. First impression is good. The little blue protection foil on the crown is a bit of a PITA. The little adjustment holes on the clap are a bit different on mine. There's only three, tightly spaces at one side, rather than a few across the whole length. Overall: happy camper! Cheers for the recommendation.
Thanks for starting my day, Jody! I've been watching your videos back lately just staying entertained. Hope you, your family and everyone else stays healthy through all of this!
Those corners on the clasp are dangerously sharp. I’ve scratched my loved ones a few time just buy giving them a hug. Wish they’d smooth out those corners. Hope you can mention it next vid. I barely wear it now so I don’t hurt them.
Try some sandpaper. Or even a nail file. You can't make it worse than it is. I don't mind that the watch comes with some issues like this, if it means I get the specs for the low price. I don't need lume and I can polish metal myself.
Bliger. 40mm otherwise exact same specs including screw links and "Oysterglide" extension on the clasp. NH35A automatic movement. £64 including import fees to the UK. Pleasantly surprised by this one which I bought to practice my watchmaking skills on, it's much better than I expected, I suspect that it would suit most people for a beater or work watch. I think it's only got 30m water resistance tho' so landlubbers only (they do ones with higher rating but they're more expensive) Great video thanks. (The Bliger clasp is better. The adjustment extension is smoother in operation but not loose and has 5 positions providing a useful amount of fine tuning)
Just received one for which I paid $78.00- I ordered it through one of AliExpress’ website companies and was able to track it using AliExpress standard tracking program. Total delivery time was about 2 month and I was alerted as to the delivery date through a number of emails. I own a number of high end watches plus a couple of Invictas so I was willing to take a chance on the Pagani. It’s advertised with a Seiko self-winding movement (like the Invictas) but it hard to tell through the display case back. Overall I’m quite satisfied with the Pagani. The watch looks great with a solid link oyster-like bracelet which uses micro screws for adjustment. I had to remove 4 links till I got the fit right. Like current Rolex oyster bracelets, it uses a similar latch design with a micro adjustable link. As one would expect it doesn’t work quite as smoothly as the Rolex. The crown is a screw down design with a O-ring seal which also isn’t as smooth as the Rolex design. So far it appears to keep decent time and only time will tell.
It would be interesting a video explaining how the time grapher works, or what to pay atention at the screen, or how to use it. It is not very clear to me. Saludos.
This thing is the king of the undead! Spearfishing in about 20m depth, windsurfing with unscrewed crown and of course swimming, snorkeling etc for several months. Brushed the bracelet with a power tool while attached to the watch 🤣🤣 🤣 Bottom line it still works and looks like it was bought last night 😃🤙

Hey Jody - I enjoy your videos! Here in Florida, I've bought several (Rolex homage) Reginald dive watches in the last 3 years. They're sold on ebay at an average price of $25 to $30 USD and are an exceptional bargain. Although I'm a diver, I don't take them swimming but as a daily sport watch, they are unbeatable for the money - Seiko movement, strong bracelets, applied indices, several color choices, 40mm case, etc. and a handsome watch. If you haven't reviewed one yet, you might consider it. Best, Roy
Your testing reminded me how Seiko refuses to put sapphire on even their more expensive watches. It definitely lowers my impression of Seiko overall. Do they really think we are too stupid to notice? Good thing we can get their movements in better watches. Love Pagani Design. Keep bringing them up for us.
Hallelujah!! I was so disappointed that the Pagani sub was 43mm, that's just too big. This is PERFECT, and a great base to modify too. Cheaper than an Invicta, no silly writing, sapphire crystal, what's not to love. Will definitely bag this one, thanks Jody!

If they do I hope they find a much better movement than the Parnis one. As much as I love my Parnis GMT, the movement is quite imprecise and it runs slower and slower the more the spring unwinds itself
Nice looking piece. I'd have preferred if they used a glide lock style clasp instead though. A lot more useful in my opinion. I have one on my Parnis GMT, and it's great.
Unbelievable.....I am fortunate enough to have a Rolex GMT and this looks just as good. I may never have bought it and saved a few quid if this had been available....Amazing value.
I bought one of these after watching this review. After a good long COVID-19 inspired shipping delay it finally arrived. I am quite happy with it with one big exception. After setting the time, upon depressing the crown to restart the seconds hand and screw down the crown - about 3 out of 4 times the seconds hand does not start running again. It takes several tries and a little luck to get the crown to engage and start the seconds hand running again. This kind of defeats the advantage of having a hacking movement as it is very difficult to get it to start at a precise moment. But, it's an $80 watch and it keeps great time other than that, so....
Hi Jody - Just a line to say I received my CIGA Z Titanium finally this week having decided to buy one after watching your review - absolutely love it - best sub £200 watch I've ever bought
Just saw the video and immediately ordered the watch (black dial on stainless steel strap) it just looks fantastic in my opinion. This is going to be my third pagani after the 43 mm submariner hommage and the Daytona hommage
i love mine. even though one of them came with grime behind the glass. as a entry horologist it was no real challenge removing it. a perfect watch to tinker on considering its so damn affordable. cheers
Nothing to flip my Phoibos Wavemaster for... I still love my MK1 blue/NoDate, but I look here and there if there is something out which could be a successor...
Received my first Pagani Hulk in the mail last week. I must say I was pleasantly surprised even at 43 ish it wears ok on my 7.5 wrist. Nice review as always.
Got myself the Parnis Batman GMT the other day and ordering the San Martin 62 mas in green and bronze tomorrow on the Ali Express 10th Anniversary sale.
Moddable AF. Seiko 28.5mm dial fits this -> Endless dial alternatives. Easy enough to align bezel and remove magnifier and you're good to go! Got this for $50 on the sale. WORTH!
With the two dollar coupon it will be $70 for the 10th Anniversary sale. Starts in 12 hours at which time I will be buying yet another Chinese sub Mariner-ish Chinese special! Thanks Jody!
I'm impressed with the cyclops on that. Is the display case back sapphire? Keep the videos coming! Keeping us well entertained during these tough times.
This has got to have been made in the same factory as the many Faulex Submariners from DH Gate. The features are identical bar the relief bezel and dial printing. Good video, again.
I had bought 3 of the 43mm Paganis just before Christmas and wound up selling them all. It was a lesson to me that while a watch can have great specs for the money and work just fine overall, it's the little things like the weird tinny sound of the bezel when rotated and the unexciting copycat aesthetic. I thought the great deal for the specs would be enough to get past this, but it wasn't. The watch was "good enough" but it was also obviously an inexpensive knockoff of an existing better watch with almost no design flavor of it's own other than being a "deal". It wasn't poorly made, but all the little shortcuts "spread too thin" across the the bracelet, bezel and weak lume made it feel well ... just cheap. The watch was... fine.... but it didn't make you want to pick it up and wear it like my other watches do. I am not beating on the value it's an amazing deal for the money, but as a package the watch was more of an industrial manufacturing curiosity of how much you can get for the dollar vs being an interesting timepiece.
There is one more PD Explorer but with Better colours but it doesn't have seiko, but some other *Pearl Movement* ... would love a review of it Jody ! ❣️
He has already reviewed Heimdallrs (and similar) on the channel. They've teased a dawn grey turtle on Instagram that I'm really hoping they get around to releasing
I agree, Aaron. The Heimdallr watches spec out great, look great, appear to be regulated ( based on mine and reports in the Facebook page) and are very affordable. Well, I guess you know all this, haha, but they do seem like a brand that Jody would fall in love with.
Personally I am not a fan of the Mercedes hands/Rolex case look-but these watches truly are great value and highlight just how little incremental value an extra $10k gets you in a real Sub. The Seiko movement makes it a buy rating in my book if you only have $100 and you like the style!
I really love my Pagani, but would suggest it is a Sea Dweller homage and not a Sub...I know it is a fine line to draw, but the dial and case suggest it to me.
I bought one after watching your review Jody, but I'm confused about what you have against the clasp; my Phoibos has a stamped clasp which is nice enough but this seems easily a step better and works faultlessly. The bezel action is a bit meh though but the ceramic makes up for it. I quite like the violet lume which kinda suits the stealth look of the watch head. Super pleased with mine and it has crept to the top of my favourite watch list. Thanks for enjoyable and informative reviews Jody, keep it up!
Hi Jody, thanks for the review. I bought the exact watch over two month ago. Also exactly as you have reviewed, I had the same problems with bezel (too much back play) and with the adjustment of the clasp (I could not even take the spring bar out and adjust...). Spec wise, as you said, it is an awesome watch, but me being bit of OCD, I just could not keep it, so after a week later, I sold it off via eBay. After that, I bought San Martin Rolex Homage watch at double the price, $190. I truly believe that the San Martin Rolex homage is the best spec, valued and fit & finish Rolex Homage under $500. They even regulated NH35 withinplus 2 to 3 seconds per day. Extremely well made, you should check that out if you have time, Jody. (the screw links on the bracelet is so well done that it is almost equivalent to the watches over $1000.00. Amazing...) again, keep it coming. Staying home like everyone else, so looking forward the double the vids from you, ha ha. thanks and stay safe.
"Hey boss, I told the case makers to remove the serial numbers from the cases that will be for the re-branding." "Why did you do that? We already paid for engraving the whole lot, just put the brand name in place of the serial numbers, moron."
@@MrShoryuken1 I thought the unpolished area between the lugs was awful. Then I took the bracelet off a Rolex and realised they're exactly the same. Unfinished/unpolished between the lugs. On a Rolex it says 'Rolex Designs' (from memory) on one end, and the serial number on the other end. So not so different to 'Pagani Designs'.
Having bought both the Hulk Loreo and the 43mm version of this one in black, I much prefer the smaller size of the Loreo. Adding this to my collection would be pretty redundant at this point, but I definitely like it more than the 43mm.
I finally received my copy after a 3 month delivery time to the US! My copy is essentially unusable. The threads on the screw down crown are flawed. I can only get about a half turn before the threads lock up leaving the crown protruding from the case. It looks bad and no way it’s waterproof. Contacted them, they requested video of issue. Sent it to them and haven’t heard back from them. I guess I’ll be harvesting the movement and bezel insert for other watches.
I love these reviews of the Pagani and other super affordable watches. My son and I wear the Tevise 801a and a Kimsdun that were inspired by Jody's review of the Tevise and, although the bezels are hilariously loose and inaccurate, they are simple and fun watches to wear in the dry.
I got a Loreo Sub homage thanks to Jody...very happy with it...looks good and works well for me. Pagani a little too big and I will give this one a miss...the bezel wobble!!! A deal breaker
Very happy to see they now have a smaller case to play with. The Daytone Pagano I have is a bit "sleek" for my taste. I'd love to have one. Perhaps in a slightly different color. By using an extra link in that clasp one could add a few grams. Might shiny bezel inserts fit?
I got one of these a month or so ago, for the exact reason that Pagani Designs' Submariner gets great reviews but it's too big at 43mm. The bracelet was very poor, and the cyclops was not straight. AliExpress gave me a 50% refund as a result...so I paid £36 for this watch. I then removed the Cyclops and put it on a black Rolex style rubber strap and I love it! I'm definitely wearing it the most. Mine is within a second of the atomic clock each day which I am very happy with. It looks very like the Rolex 42mm black Yachtmaster released at Baselworld 2018 - a £25,000 watch! Happy days.
www.dropbox.com/s/gclsfslvzkggu1e/P_20200304_123802_1.jpg?dl=0 This is pre-cyclops-removal. (My owning all of these watches is Jody's fault by the way)
Just bought one in the final hours of the sale from your link & an oysterflex style strap to see how that goes on this thing. It may very well become my travel watch of choice, when we can all travel again that is 😃
My suggestion... it would be great if you could provide specific links to shop for the watches you are reviewing rather than the link to entire page of products you ever reviewed...or may be you can provide links to both.
I just got the 1639 based on your review and i love it!!! You really cant do better especially for the money. My only complaint is the bracelet. I have a 4.25" wrist and I wish it had more mircro adjustments. I think im going to get an aftermarket "glide lock" style clasp..the ez link is just too hard to undo and redo on the wrist... but add glide lock clasp and I think it will be PERFECT.
Hey Jody, Excellent video as always. Would it be possible for you to buy a pressure tester for the channel and pressure test these Chinese specials to see if they actually hold up to their listed WR?
Love your reviews...i am a watchmaker working on vintage pocket watches and the occasional rolex. I bought the pagani. What winders do you use in the background.
I bought this from Ali Express with the SS strap, i also found a black rubber Rolex (polished SS clasp) on their website, both 20mm fittings, this strap (to me) looks much nicer than the black strap that it comes with (optional) I have the Pagani Black Sub and have quite thick wrists, so the size has never been an issue. For the price you just can't go wrong. I've had more comments about these watched (I have the blue, gold/blue & green ones) than any of my Real, Omaga or Tudor watches. How they make this quality of watch for these prices I just don't know. I'm hoping they bring this watch out in gold, as you can get the black rubber (polished gold clasp) strap too. This would be one nice watch. You can get a different make in the gold (Caseno 42mm) but haven't seen any reviews on them. Saying that for £55 I'll probably get one
Jody you are right, if they released the 40mm version of the 43mm version it would be a winner. This seems like a mixture of too many things. I'll stick with my invicta for now

Thank you very much Jody! Got one from AliExpress for 57 € on sale and the quality is splendid! Regards from Germany!
If I’m not mistaken there is the PD 1661 that I own. It is 40mm , has the same design, and it cost about the same.
It wasn't a thing when he was recording the video
i love mine. even though one of them came with grime behind the glass. as a entry horologist it was no real challenge removing it. a perfect watch to tinker on considering its so damn affordable.
Mine just arrived today, i must say for $90 dollars looks great. Thanks for the recommendation
hope they release a 40mm green version! i'm glad i waited my buy on the 43mm one!
Got myself the Parnis Batman GMT the other day and ordering the San Martin 62 mas in green and bronze tomorrow on the Ali Express 10th Anniversary sale.
Issac hunt you’ve got it as bad as me!
my bezel has the same problem, not very solid click to line up at 12 o'clock
Moddable AF. Seiko 28.5mm dial fits this -> Endless dial alternatives. Easy enough to align bezel and remove magnifier and you're good to go!
Got this for $50 on the sale. WORTH!
With the two dollar coupon it will be $70 for the 10th Anniversary sale. Starts in 12 hours at which time I will be buying yet another Chinese sub Mariner-ish Chinese special! Thanks Jody!
Hey Jodi! Thanks for another amazing video :)
I like it other than the gray(?) bezel insert. Wish it was black.
Seeing this watch makes me want to wear my Phoibos this morning.
Picked up both the colors and a rose gold parnis version.
Thanks for the review , this would look awesome on a oyster style rubber strap in black ......order up !
Took awhile for me, but now again a real great watch on the Channel!
I've got mine on a silicone Ali Express Isophrane copy strap. I think it's quite fantastic and it's getting quite a bit of wrist time, I have to say.
Great! What about Heimdallr Sharkey? You really have to try it!
Those heimdallr skx are a beauty
He has already reviewed Heimdallrs (and similar) on the channel. They've teased a dawn grey turtle on Instagram that I'm really hoping they get around to releasing
@@StringyPete It would probably be the same one currently sold by Rdunae.
I agree, Aaron. The Heimdallr watches spec out great, look great, appear to be regulated ( based on mine and reports in the Facebook page) and are very affordable. Well, I guess you know all this, haha, but they do seem like a brand that Jody would fall in love with.
@@StringyPete wrwatches.com/collections/rdunae-retangula/products/rdunae-turtle-6105-8000
Personally I am not a fan of the Mercedes hands/Rolex case look-but these watches truly are great value and highlight just how little incremental value an extra $10k gets you in a real Sub. The Seiko movement makes it a buy rating in my book if you only have $100 and you like the style!
Wow this really is actually nice and better value than a similarly priced Invicta homage.
I really love my Pagani, but would suggest it is a Sea Dweller homage and not a Sub...I know it is a fine line to draw, but the dial and case suggest it to me.
You need to review the Steeldive SD1952. Beautiful homage to the original Fifty Fathoms and only 41mm in diameter.
Amazing...)
again, keep it coming. Staying home like everyone else, so looking forward the double the vids from you, ha ha.
thanks and stay safe.
10:15 Interesting case branding at the end link area.
Eurgh...gross isn't it. Off centre as well lol.
I missed that watching on my phone. Well spotted.
I saw that flash by also, and I was surprised that Jody didn't cover it. It's a fairly obvious detail.
"Hey boss, I told the case makers to remove the serial numbers from the cases that will be for the re-branding."
"Why did you do that?
Great specs as usual & at least they've done away with the bonkers 90 click bezel even if it is still kinda wobbly! 😁
I love these reviews of the Pagani and other super affordable watches. My son and I wear the Tevise 801a and a Kimsdun that were inspired by Jody's review of the Tevise and, although the bezels are hilariously loose and inaccurate, they are simple and fun watches to wear in the dry.
Whenever I think my interest in homages is waning, something always pulls me back in! I just ordered the Tisell "Explorer", and this one may be next!!
You know, my experience is the same as yours. Think I may end up with both as well!
Insane amount of watch from Pagani...
great value, and design
Love the Pepsi clock
You can get one from here:
dealerclocks.store/collections/rolex-clocks

(My owning all of these watches is Jody's fault by the way)
Looks like a great mod base
4.25?🤔
nice review Jody... I think I like that 22mm lug version, and its blue dial.
I bought this from Ali Express with the SS strap, i also found a black rubber Rolex (polished SS clasp) on their website, both 20mm fittings, this strap (to me) looks much nicer than the black strap that it comes with (optional)
I have the Pagani Black Sub and have quite thick wrists, so the size has never been an issue.
I'll stick with my invicta for now
Got mine for 63 bucks on special!!
Great video
I love all your videos , very informative, I have 2 invicta pro divers one 5 year s old the other bought November 2019. The other I have is a sturghling 39 millimetre. And my others old Casio’s and pulsars
I am on a Chinese watch kick right now...definitely easier on my wallet than my Swiss watch kick!
I'm getting myself on of these tomorrow haha
Top 3 dive watches for Under $100 video...
Maaaaaaate! There will be several budget diver based vids coming soon. I've been gathering.... Cheers!
@@JustOneMoreWatch Should definitely feature the new Invicta Pro Diver 1953 - it seems like a winner! (great review, as always. Stay safe!)
1. blue duro
2. gold duro
3. black duro
4. invicta/parnis/pagani
Try Top 10 😂
1 - Invicta Pro Diver 8926ob
2 - Vostok Amphibia
3 - Casio Duro (MDV-106)
You are welcome!
I like it, but because I already have a Squale 1545 20 Atmos Classic Ceramic a Pagani would rarely find its way to my wrist.
But still, 👍!
