If you wipe off wet compound, you will have swirl marks. A good man will buff compound completely off. Start slow with pressure, careful not to overheat and finish with high speed with light pressure until compound is completely off.
great video! Do I still have to go through 3000 + 8000 + 1 step compound process when I just need to freshen up the paint look of the car, or should I go straight for the 1 step compound? (skipping 3000 and 8000 sanding)
He talks about how wetting pad instead of putting material on vehicle so many so one or the other and Personally do both. Wet the pad when starting to satterate evenly and then after put material on vehicle. At least thats how I was taught.
sajjad mumtaz I’m curious too. Because when using the 1500 dry 3,000-5,000 then use the 1,2,3 Perfect it. I think this hybrid going from 3,000-8,000 then 1 step compound glaze with pink pad basically eliminates the 123 compound polish and glaze with pads. I’m assuming thats what this process is doing.

Not always true. Diminishing abrasives don’t have this issue. Also, a wet towel will prevent this and follow up with dry towel

Looks like a training video from 1998

I know this was over a year ago, but I believe they are discontinuing the trizact 5000 grit.
