No one should have to, if you are committing a crime, especially one that causes an officer involved shooting (endangering the public) as well as felony threats with a firearm, There should be mandatory charges by the state. Period. This district attorney is an idiot and should be removed.

Been asking myself that for many years now. Many many years now really. That's probably alot of victims worried it will come back on them. Also probably means alot more criminals amongst us too. Probably just another reason why "the world is a vampire.....".

I ran amuck for years and I never thought I'd see the day that criminals would be treated so softly. Our country is in big trouble when people aren't being held accountable for crimes of this nature

I believe the turbo model was only 2008 but not sure you'd know the difference until you see the guages inside.

@@90whateverI’m a desert dweller. Most of these are in very run down neighborhoods of a city. There are nicer sections of Albuquerque for sure that look like normal neighborhoods. Same with any towns in Arizona I’ve been to. Phoenix has some lovely areas.
@@Crysta1Pisto1 Yes. There are some very beautiful places in Albuquerque. But I have to say, at least 60% of the city is a complete hellhole, and the people out there are batshit crazy. My brother lived in the better part of a neighborhood called the "warzone." Crackheads and gang activity everywhere, and its one of the most impoverished cities in America. Sad place

I lived in Albuquerque for a while, and unfortunately it is. It has some significant challenges with crime and drugs, much like a smaller version of LA.

There's a lot more to this kind of situation. He will be held, probably for months, while he gets med stabilized. When he gets released, it will be on an LRA. That will require things like taking his meds. He will be monitored, and that’s all we can do. Please don't oversimplify for the sake of a good argument.

Albuquerque is off the hook. I was stationed there in the late 80’s. Some of my fellow veterans in uniform ended up getting killed out there.

I live in Albuquerque, and this is an everyday thing. Crime here is absolutely out of control. We are the second most dangerous city in the country per capita.
Excellent advice removing the extra two rounds!!! I've employed this with my LCP2, because filling the magazine to the top virtually always results in issues; better to go with less, and have 100% performance with every round.

At this rate, it is commendable that all Officers undergo a Mental Health Respiratory Training, for handling such situations, for proper outcomes.. I commend them for the effort. Not every Mentally Challenged, especially with a gun come out of such situations, alive.
Good transition from lethal to less lethal by these officers. No charges filed on this maniac makes no sense, as they'll have to re-arrest him later for something worse.

Breaking Bad producers didn't even need to hire extras for all the street shots. I wanted to live in NM my whole life, and spent every summer in ABQ when I was younger. I moved here in 2013 and I have regretted it ever since. It is NOT the same city it was back in the 80's. The parks used to be beautiful, and full of kids at play. Not anymore, they are infested with drug addicted transients, and prostitution. Every single street throughout this entire city is jacked up, and in need of repairs. The neighborhoods are filthy with trash and litter. Gunshots going off all the time. They finally, banned the 50ml bottles of alcohol. Those bottles were EVERYWHERE throughout this city, too. Forget public transportation, because the bus stops are all inhabited by the homeless. They are soiled, and smelly. Did I mention, the city decided they were doing us a favor by making public transportation FREE. Now, the busses are disgustingly, being taken over by sleepy transients who ride the bus all day for free. This city SUCKS, on so many levels.

There are 2 things I noticed here that I'm a little surprised were not addressed.
1: The first cam we are watching shows everyone behind cover...EXCEPT for the guy wearing the camera! Now, I understand that at that distance, there's a really slim chance of the suspect landing hits on any of those officers. But if there is any chance, then I myself would certainly want to be behind cover.
2: When they were all yelling at him at the front of the house, I was hearing several commands. One voice gentlemen! Appoint one person to be issuing commands.
Guess the potential hostage never said the phrase 'Feet don't fail me now'. Should have run away like Lance Armstrong said to his team mate during the TDF, "...run like you stolen something." Great work by Alburquerque LEO's. Only one with minor injuries was the perp. Thanks for sharing.
