There's an important distinction to make here... The perpetrators are not interested in gaining compliance from the victims. They're interested in ending the victims. In addition, they are willing to sacrifice their lives to accomplish the objective.
In such a situation, military tactics are required, not civilian self-defense ones. It is *extremely* difficult to defend against an opponent that is willing to trade their life to take yours.
Given that, weapons proficiency and mental preparedness are going to be the biggest determiners of outcome.

"In such a situation, military tactics are required, not civilian self-defense ones. It is extremely difficult to defend against an opponent that is willing to trade their life to take yours." Correct but if you took a civilian self defense class they would tell you to do way better than what the guards did here. Also if they know insurgence attack like this, guards should not have hand guns, they should have rifles too and armor and be trained tactically. The stair case was the perfect spot to take both of those 2 guys out because they MUST come to you up the stars and they have no idea where you are waiting to get them until they see you.

@@nishantchoudhary5497 Dancing around terms due to RUclips's censorbots...
First, determine that it is not a standard victim-compliance event.
Hiding and/or escape are probably the best bet. The attackers are likely to have far more cartridges, personnel, and shoulder implements.
Fall back to a choke point room or location. If possible have larger stores of cartridges there. Drop attackers at that choke point and try to be an expensive and difficult target.
And as mentioned, be proficient with tools and mentally tough... Your life is depending on it.

It’s also worth pointing out that the top of a stairwell, particularly a stairwell with landings at each floor like the one they’re in, is an ideal defensive position, and by far the easiest part of a building to defend. Mostly because there is no other part of a building that will constrict the vision of a person moving through it more. when I was still a brand new private in the army. I remember them telling us if we were ever separated from our unit and had to hold up in a building and wait to be rescued. We should get to the top of a stairwell. these guys are in an almost textbook, indoor ambush position.

Without the right to such self defense means your right to self defense, however, is nullified and the citizens is left with his empty hands.

      Thats scary as hell.
I swear fighting against people that have seemingly no fear, like the Arab, where suicide attacks seem to be more accepted? Thats scary. It feels like a lose lose situation in that case, especially when they get the element if surprise I’m guessing.
Thats just sad… sorry you had to witness such things.

This is pure speculation here, but…
I suppose if in the horrible situation of facing a grenade with no possible escape… putting your leg over it (obviously sacrificial) potentially could save your life?????
Bad situation that I wish none of us ever have to face.

Well, if you are a soldier, or cop, you should have a decent chance of body armor, laying on it would be best.
If its to save the lives of others, and no escape.
      (I’m assuming/guessing.)
Still not a fun situation… however in this case… this person is fighting someone else for control of a live grenade… not an easy way to win that one.

Hi, John. I've been working on timed headshots under 2 seconds from holster @ 25 yards. If I miss, I usually at least get a body shot, so complete misses are rare. I'm not intimidated by rifles, since I know my effective range is longer than most people with rifles on the shooting range. When I'm not using the timer, I am still racing with people next to me to get my shot off before them for added pressure.
