Was absolutely floored by the sound and feel off the Sim 2 forged face. Looks great down by the ball as well, sits slightly open which I love since it is an anti left look.
I have a 25 -30 yard gap between 3 W and irons so I have opted to go for the sim 2 and also the sim 4 to plug the gaps and I’ll swap out the 4i I have. Can’t wait to get them tomorrow
Can't wait to try Sim2. Original Apex hybrids are the only hybrids I've ever felt comfortable hitting, but now that we got this and the new apex coming out, may be time for an upgrade!
I tested these 2 clubs today in the 22°loft and I'm putting the SIM 2 in my bag . I found it had I heavier head which I liked. Also I found it gave me a straighter flight than the Max
My longest regularly used iron is 5. I use old RAZR Fit hybrid 23 & 21 deg which are great but sit closed. I play a Links course so use the 5 iron and occasionally a 4 iron off the tee in high wind. Sim Max looks good for me. I prefer hybrids to long irons but have never got on with compact, straight face hybrids (HCP 15).
Another great review Michael - I’m debating putting a rescue in the bag, the Sim 2 Max being a shade closed would be ideal for me. I’m hoping to get out to test one as soon as I’m able after watching this. Thank you 👍🏻
I carry a 23 degree and a 19 degree. I still have the Taylormade M1 hybrids (tried the Ping but hated the turbulators). The Sim2 smaller head looks almost exactly like my M1s so will be testing them. The only 2 issues I have with them are that they don't have a flat lie setting (which I need) and Twist face has never been my friend for other TM woods I have tried. The new soon-to-be-released Titleist TSi3 has a very similar look and has the ability to set it up at 1 degree flat. My guess is that it will be between those 2 for what goes in the bag for 2021.
I’m looking for a 2 iron as an alternative to my 5 wood for windy days. Had the P790 UDI liked it but unless you hit it really well every time it was punishing. Had the SIM UDI as well but hated the offset. The SIM 2 rescue could be just the ticket. That front to back dispersion was pretty good.
My Ben Hogan 18 degree rescue has a face that looks like an iron face too whereas some of the other rescues look like mini fairway woods. If I need a wood I’ll buy one
Thinking of the 3 option for a long approach into par 5 or long par 3. Would it hold the green well with high enough launch? I have three iron but spin is a little low.
I have bought the sim 2 adjustable black head hybrid. I have a small problem that it doesn't sound all that solid it sounds a bit plasticy, I know this sounds strange. And I have tried multiple adjustments but I keep hitting it to the right. Not actually fading but trying to hit straight (and I generally hit quite straight) and the ball flight is nearly always right of the target. I wonder if there may be an adjustment that I might apply to get the club to hit straight.
Definitely going to be ordering the SIM to interchange with SIM UDI that’s bent down to a 16.5 loft. Be interesting to see how shot shaping is with the SIM Head?
@stingcentral5 I just tested the SIM 19.5 degree head. I felt it was very workable left or right, high or low. If you have the swing speed you can do whatever you want with it.
Michael good review; are you going to make head to head comparison of the Wilson D9 Irons and the SIM 2 soon? I am leaning on your review to decide which one I want to be fitted for.
Liking the all black Sim2. I’m not a fan of the white/silver strip across the top. I’ve got M6’s in my bag, a few miss hits and it scratches up terrible.
Great review. I’m looking to replace my Mizuno 2 iron that has a ghost shaft with something a little more forgiving. Really like the 2 rescue but also find the ease and forgiveness of the max appealing 🤔
Sometimes wonder how much of a better golfer you need to be to get the most out of some of these ‘better golfer’ clubs. Logic being, if you’re really good, playing with a more forgiving head, you should be able to drop shots on a dime in theory?
Forgiving clubs also tend to be a bit more draw bias, higher launching and spinning. That can make it difficult for the better player to control ball flight/distance. Also numbers on trackman, off a mat, don't always give real world figures, especially with a hybrid.
Love this guys reviews, best on RUclips, and I watch everyone
Thank you
True Dat! That is hood for amen if you did not know.
Not liking the wider white stripe on this club. Last years driver and woods look better on the top line.
Like the look of the black one. Makes me want to consider a hybrid.
Agreed, not a lot of fluff or self advertisement, just solid reviews with honest opinions

Be happy if you got my carry to 250.. but with a driver
Great review again and ball striking
5 Iron and now I have just purchased the sim 2 max rescue great little club.

they are both called SIM 2...do you mean the rescue?
@@robbie192 yep
Another great review, Michael. Excellent.
Currently have a Cleveland 15.5d Hybrid.

Check out the 2020 mizuno clk hybrid, best hybrid out there right now

I've got the sim max on pre order ,can't wait to give it a hit
Great review as always Mike I game g410 hybrid 22 degree 👍😊🏌
Just waiting for my SIM2 max 3,4,5 hybrids and SIM2 OS irons to be delivered!!

Great review Newts 👍
I carry a 3 and 2 hybrid. The 2 hybrid replaces my 3 wood. My longest iron is a 4 iron.

Compare all hybrid to the ping g410 its absolute gold standard

Hi Mike, my Left Handed SIM came with a Right Handed tip hosel. Looking at the face I think the settings are opposite..
They are opposite

Try putting the neck sleeve into upright setting 👍
Love to see you review the cobra RF blades
Would live to get hold of some!
Personally i hit my 3 hybrid 350 but alright good review
The Sim 2 one looks really nice but don’t think it would beat my Sim UDI off the tee for those windy days!
UDI is strong 💪
Hey Mike great video can you compare the sim2 rescue 17 degree vs the sim udi for a off the tee comparison. Thanks.

Dude how are u getting 230+ yrd carries? I’m only getting 195 on my sim 2 max 3H
Would you recommend the SIM 2 MAX or Ping G425 Hybrid for mid handicapper (~15)? Thanks
Either 👍
Great review,can u do head to head,SIM 2 Vs ping g425 hybrids⛳👍
I can try
@@MichaelNewtonGolf Please do!!
Do you think it’s worth carrying a 2&3 hybrid

Forgiveness and dispersion are not the same thing.
I never knew that ....

yaay first 🤣🤣🤣 never happend before ❤️
Just ordered. I cannot hit a long iron for the life of me.
Ill never buy a hybrid thats not adjustable again. For $350 canadian that club better be adjustable !
Wow that is going a mile for hybrid
"This is going to be the better option for a lot of the so-called 'golfers' out there" LMAO
Get the mavrik hybrid instead . Unbelievable compared to this
Cobra 🐍 rad speed it’s better
