    i like toasting orzo, then cooking it like rice with chicken stock; once all the liquid is absorbed add in fresh herbs and parm

    Looks delicious. I need your recipe, I used to make it was a nut cake 9 inch round pan with ground nuts. It's been about a decade when I saw it on food Network. It's a heavy cake. Giada, you said you could eat the whole thing! Me too🤭 If any of that rings a bell, I would love a copy of that recipe😁

    Ginger has really thick skin I like to peel it with a knife, me over here hearing so many cooks just use a spoon.

    When making fried rice (Asian influenced) I use day old rice. Is that advisable or even possible with this dish? (Oh, yum!).

    She did NOT just say the skin on ginger is thick did she....???? The reason you can peal ginger with a spoon is because it IS so thin. In addition, lots of people (including me) don’t even peal the skin before chopping it because it’s that unnecessary! Dammit giada

      Ikr......I've come across TV cooks who've peeled ginger ( and other produce) like they've never peeled anything in their lives----thick cuttings that wasted way too much.

      I was side-eyeing her as well when she said that. But then again, Giada does Italian best. Asian isn't her forte, but I did love the fusion recipe!

    Skin of ginger is PAPER THIN, not thick.
    You peel with a spoon, not a knife.

      I'm not a vegetarian but we often have "vegetarian" nights just for something light (or I forgot to take meat out of the freezer so we have to adapt), whatever. This would be perfect for that. :-)

      I read a gossip magazine now that we’re home and it said that one of her camera guy’s voice out about the food that she dumps right to the trash. Her kids don’t eat it and she doesn’t give it away either.
