The new big rock has the diffs from the kraton 4s now though so that's a big upgrade. I have a outcast 4s is the smallest truck i have but everytime i drive it snaps drive shafts. Maybe it's a good thing this big rock being on 3s not break so many drive shafts.
Nice comparison. Matte black does look good, but I think I prefer the blue body and chrome wheels myself. You can easily buy the typhon 3s a arms and turn buckles to make a v1 or v2 big rock wider. The new big rock is essentially the same stance as a typhon 3s, but with a truck body and wheels. But stronger chassis, better orings in the shocks, better controller, motor fan etc makes the new version a good buy for someone new to this platform. But not worth buying if you have already have a previous version.
Better internals (4S capable), sealed bearings, wider arms (more stable in turns), motor fans (motor cool as a cucumber after a full pack) & better transmitter?... definitely worth the extra $10-15 bucks whenever you add it all up! 👍🏾
Good video I have the V3 Bigrock & the newest Granite so the wife & I can bash together, I 3d printed inner body supports and roof sliders I've had 0 issues with either truck and I do before and after routine maintenance to keep my rc's tip top have fun with the V3 😎👍

I just bought the Big Rock V3, with in the first 10 minutes of its first battery pack I did a very very very soft cartwheel with it and it completely snapped the rear shock. I was like wtf
I didn’t get the v3::::it’s basically the same truck,,,,,on my original big rock I added hot racing hex extenders and a set of proline adjustable hub ....17mm tires and rims. It’s a lot wider than the new v3,,,,added a fan,,,,very stable....love the the set up...It’s a lot cheaper than buying a whole new identical unit,,,,imho... came with the tactic system,,,very good.also. 🇺🇸👈

I don't get why you would buy an rc and just let it sit. I wish I had that kind of money. The new big rock is a good truck. Mine is actually hard to roll over in turns. I don't like the fact the the old axles was used instead of longer ones, but I guess when they break i'll just upgrade them. One other thing about the new big rock is check the axles screws. Mine was loose and resulting in a wheel coming. Just lock tight them beforehand for good measure.
I think that .5” of width will make a difference in the tip over threshold? So an experienced operator who figures out where that threshold is, Will benefit a little? For a new person in the hobby, that is just full blast even wile steering? Don’t think it’s much of a difference honestly?

The biggest differences will be in the Arma Granite 4x4 MEGA! As far as value, compared to getting the older version that is. It now has the 3s diffs and the slipper clutch has been upgraded. At least, I have read the slipper clutch has been upgraded. I'm so deep into my older Granite now, I could have bought a 3s Granite and a Big Rock! That said, I do love it. If it wasn't like that, I wouldn't have had to mess with it and would never actually learned anything. Great comparison, great video. Fingers-crossed, my shocks on my MEGA haven't leaked, yet. :) I hope you do something cool with it. Definitely needs the roof sliders! (-) Those bodies on ARMA trucks are thin as paper, paper is harder to tear..lol

I just watched an interview where Jason said this time it was made to be converted to brushless without being such a pain and drain on wallet. No no no I did the 6s from a 4s outcast and it was sooo much money and the center drive shaft is so weak and no support on a better one so intill there is no upgrades 😂😂😂😂

I've never been in your situation so I don't know though, maybe there's huge taxes for imports or something. If parts are super hard to get, you might want to think twice. Its essential to be able to buy replacement parts for basher rc cars.

Chassi is differant steering rack is differant, adjustable motor mount and rubber sealed bearings
