As much as I love this performance, the thing that always stands out to me the most is HOW OUT OF BREATH SHE IS!!!! LOL Before and after the song. For those who do not know, her type of false fold screaming is VERY oxygen intensive. The amount of breath support you need in order to pull it off at this level is not easy, even though she makes it look like it is. On top of that, she works her diaphragm extremely hard. Awesome reaction, this is one of my favorite Jinjer songs. So good.

I'll watch anyone reviewing Jinjer but it's always a bonus watching you two amazing ladies doing it. I'm 47 and have been listening to metal since I was 14. I love the fact that after all of these years my two favorite metal bands right now are female fronted: Jinjer and Spiritbox. Tardigrade Inferno is a very under-appreciated cabaret metal band with a female vocalist. They're relatively unknown so they don't have any fancy music videos, but they are still one of my favourite bands of the year. Mastermind is what I think is their best song.

One thing to keep in mind: all those people were not there just to see Jinjer. Wacken is a huge annual metal music festival in Germany with many bands.....think Kebworth in England, or Lallapalooza etc.. no doubt Jinjer was the headliner, but not the only band.
I don't know what the lineup was but it was still daytime so there were probably at least one or two left that day but I'm sure their names were near the top of the headliners page
I'm really surprised nobody seems to be recommending Mastodon. I think you'd enjoy just about all of their songs but the one that means the most to me is Roots Remain. The whole CD "Sultan's Curse" is about losing people you love to cancer, which has been a big part of my life over the past year or two.

After the last song of the concert when he said goodbyes to audience how she was out of breath with all the energy she had put out on stage moving a lot etc. But you can't here it in her singing because the breath control. At the end of the song she sings pretty long clean lines without taking a breath in between. Check also some Opeth. They say them as one of their main influences. For example Opeth - Ghost of Perdition (Live at The Roundhouse Tapes). Also I suggest some Dream Theater for example Dream Theater - In the Name of God (Live at Budokan). Oh and Porcupine Tree Porcupine Tree - Anesthetize (Live at Tilburg) which is a longer song, but doesn't get boring.
Keeping in the theme of female fronted metal bands, check out Ad Infinitum - Marching On Versailles. Don't see them getting reacted to as much as bands like Jinjer, Unleash the Archers, Nightwish, etc., but they are insanely good. The lead singer has a couple different projects going on out there.

At the end of the song she sings pretty long clean lines without taking a breath in between. Check also some Opeth. They say them as one of their main influences. Oh and Porcupine Tree Porcupine Tree - Anesthetize (Live at Tilburg) which is a longer song, but doesn't get boring.
Keeping in the theme of female fronted metal bands, check out Ad Infinitum - Marching On Versailles. Don't see them getting reacted to as much as bands like Jinjer, Unleash the Archers, Nightwish, etc., but they are insanely good. The lead singer has a couple different projects going on out there.
