The Elbow House conception

Check out our latest video of the amazing Elbow House, in Calgary (AB), designed by Studio North with our red cedar beams. Located beside the Elbow River, the house sits on the site as lightly as possible with its airy materials, floating up in the sky.
The architects Damon Hayes, Hayden Pattullo and Saaraa Premji-Mitha have chosen NewTechWood beams because it’s the product that met all the clients needs from both a design aesthetic and practical construction perspective. According to them: “The slat screen is the character defining formal reference of the project, allying the feeling of real wood, a strong visual identity and low maintenance”.
