- In the realm of property development, undertaking a comprehensive renovation project is a significant endeavor that can transform a neglected or outdated structure into a modern, functional, and aesthetically pleasing space. Such projects not only rejuvenate the physical property but also contribute to community revitalization, enhance property values, and promote sustainable living practices.
Connor and his team undertook an amazing job bringing to live an old abandoned house. After being 10 years without anybody living there, the final results will blow your mind.

Beautiful workmanship. I like the comment sentiment about better communities. In Canada we have a dictators at multiple levels of government who want to destroy that starting with the middle class. It's time to vote them out Canada.
Oh Man...I love these videos...also need a list of the music that was used...it kind of added something nice to the videos 😊
Roof insulation is wrong. Should be above the decking, not between the rafters. Unless the space above the insulation and below the decking is adequately ventilated, you will have condensation problems
Why didn’t they put the skirting board on top of the floor - especially as it was all added to the stripped back flat

I agree with others in these comments - huge mistake to remove that beautiful old skylight. Leaving at least some of the exposed brick would have been better too. Allowing a place like this to show it's age and working with what is already there connects it to the city it is in and it's history. Renovating all of that away - it could be anywhere in any new development in any city. But - very impressive transformation.
There was so much video of the demo and rebuild to only see so little of the final product. Maybe next time you show more of the final work. Let us enjoy your beautiful work.
Well done, but because they make the skylight much smaller, they should paint the walls in lighter colors so it looks bigger. Beige, gray or grayish, cream would be much better. The door to the bathroom should stay white outside and inside if they painted green wall. Thats just me. But it came out pretty good.

What an amazing transformation and the colour throughout is absolutely beautiful but I wanted the see the roof finished and wondered if there’s outdoor seating up there? I laughed at the women sat eating crisps watching the men work 🤣 First class workmanship! 👏👏
Yes, what is that about? 😆
😂🤣😂
amazing jo... but toooooooo dark and gloomy. Lighter and brighter colors would have made the space much more ''airy'' and easy to live in, specially during winter time.
For a basement apartment already being dark, I felt the same. I would have chosen lighter colours but I also have white walls in my home and light coloured interior. I get my "splash" of colour from my paintings and pillows etc. 🙂
This is like living in a basement. There will be poor air exchange and increased humidity. Gases heavier than air will stay near the ground. In inversion, the air will not be good there. Few windows. Otherwise, the rebuild execution is great. I wouldn't want to live there.
If I was single I would live there, though I would add a larger tv. The airflow would not be an issue to me at all. I also prefer composite countertops instead of butcher block.

That place was uninhabited for ten years, accumulating all kinds of dust and who-knows-what, none of the work crew are wearing masks? Or eye protection? This isn't 1924, it's 2024! Personal protective gear is a MUST!
That's not in America there not full of whooses there !! Just saying tho I do agree have a mask for there protection
Saved me from having to write the same stuff. Pure folly that there's no breathing protection like this..
@@Snaiper30 You're absolutely correct. Unfortunately, people who don't know this, go on to repeat the "no protection" stance because they don't know..directly because some people on youtube taught them (by not addressing it) wrong. The airborne shit these guys are breathing, is very dangerous. I hope that you take heed.
Expert workmanship, very best flooring, moldings. Just beautiful. ❤❤DRB
Amazing job! I wish I could see more of the final result.
So sad to see the beautiful skylight so shrunken allowing less light into the flat. Such a good job made on the rest.

My thought exactly, thought they'd refurbish with some wonderful stained glass to give a nod to the flat's past. When I saw them doing the framing underneath, I got excited, thinking YAY, great idea...they're putting in a shelf level underneath. Would be a fantastic, unique place to put plants, herbs hanging down for the kitchen, cookbooks, specialty and decorative cookware (that one doesn't use everyday). Such a missed opportunity to use such a great space.
I thought so, too.
There is barely any natural light in there.
It's not too hard to gain the knowledge to do this work, but the financial part of it is just out of reach for so many. I bought my first home in 2016, very cheap it is an older home that needs work. But man, financially with our economy like it is right now, any remolding is a dream. I managed a new roof, but I have an extended part of the home that is lower, (two story) and couldn't afford to do the lower roof yet. There is alot of damage just from that alone. It is nice to see that there are some out there who are doing what I did in finding a home that needs work and actually getting to do the work though. Good luck, it turned out really beautiful.
Beautiful skill.. very inspiring and useful... great 🇮🇩🏠🏘️😍😍👍
Wow, you guys did an amazing job, it looks absolutely stunning.
Preparation work makes a big difference, especially when it comes to insulation and reducing running costs
Well done 🏆🏆🏆
Absolutely stunning! Love it.
Weldone. It is enlightening to se how you can revamp an old building to such a beautiful living space.
I didn't like two things - they repeated a very low ceiling level which I would try to increase as much as it is possible, I would restore the large roof window (I liked it very much). I also didn't like how crew cut the space to a small dark rooms and the choice of dull beige (yellowish) colors. This is not my favorite transformation in terms of the design. Other than that, I am glad that they cleaned this dump place.
Absolutely. Lighthouse on the roof had its purpose and opened up the space. That was the greatest feature. Also not a fan of flat roofs. Never stands the test of time well, especially in wet climate conditions
Meticulous workmanship, perfect result, legendary work 👍
WELL DONE TRANSFORMATION 👏!!!
Well-done and nice job. Respect!
I get the feeling that back when it was built it was the old courtyard/ garden that they decided to put a roof over it and make it into a bed sit , he’s done a good job with what he’s done for the dimensions and size of it
God bless you for your hard work and for sharing with us.
I find that bathroom claustrophobic.
Also, I liked the old skylight better. There aren't many windows in that apartment.
Fantastic wonderful job!
Wow beautiful job!
Wondering how the rest of the building looks, this apartment came out stunning great job..
well done to all,it is superb, toilet room and shower are just right ,love them, perfect
THANKS A LOT
Amazing skills! You did a good job it looks beautiful.
Came for the renovation. Stayed for the music! Well done on the video!

Looks great , I like the wood work in the bathroom and the bricks in the shower , wow ! Must have some coating over it ? Thank you for sharing ...

Beautiful. Connor you gave me some new ideas:)
Amazing!!! BRAVO!!!
Couldn't live there! No windows really! it's like a basement! But great great work!
Absolutely awesome

No hay ventanas? Solo el agujero de techo? Es claustrofóbico para mi. Aunque es muy bonito
I cannot believe no one was wearing masks during the tear down.
Nice stuff love the soundtrack. Peace

You did an amazing job!
Loved this...tiny, but great for a single person or a student away from home or a limited bnb vacation home to rent out. Can't see anyone actually living here for any extended period of time given it's totally cramped feeling. I'd have kept the wide sunroof as a key fixture to the past. It was beautiful. Sad it was taken out. Missed opportunity even if refurbished with some wonderful stained glass from a passed era. Would have added to the value of the place. Also sad we didn't get a final view of the upstairs patio. You put so much work into sealing it, yet you didn't show it completed and finally furnished. So much potential and would have laid some lightweight, weatherproof mosaic tiles to give it character. You guys came so far, but just a wee bit short from a viewer perspective.
Be grateful to have roof over your head.Donna
You are very talented and a very hard worker ❤️
GREAT JOB👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
a lot of the OSB boards, the seams, are not over lapping on a joist, which will affect the structural strength on those joints.
Great greetings from Vietnam❤❤
Love it!

Love the color choices.
I hope when my money is enough, these guys build it
Dios los bendiga Dios los bendice bendiciones🎉🎉
Beautifully done! It would have been nice to see the completed roof also. Where is the refrigerator? I think I saw a dishwasher or was that an oven? Also, are there any closets? I didn't see those either. This is an amazing makeover and would be very comfortable to live in. 🥰
Looks great, but what has me worried is that I didn't see any waterproofing in the shower stall. Thought I just saw him slapping tile up on the drywall? Don't know if I missed it.
It looked like a thick enough mud job on concrete board which would work better if it was treated with water proofing, but likely ok.
Nice makeover!
This is not an apartment, this is a beautiful basement.
Nice job sir❤❤❤❤
Thank you for the update, Quantum Tech HD..!! Amazing work of skilled craftsmanship..!!
Love this music!
Very fantastic❤❤❤
Thanks👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Great work but why not put in a granite countertop? Can get deals on remnant pieces for a counter that small. Wood gets scratched up easily and is a fire hazard.
With help, of course
A superb job! Colours are personal preference but kitchen could have been a little lighter. It would be nice to know how much was spend to complete the whole project, including all the roofing materials. That was a mammoth job. Well done on an impressive transformation.
great gob from start to finnsh fella
I appreciate the hard work that took place on this renovation. Aesthetically it is pleasant, but functionally the space needed a little more thought.
I didn't see a power outlet in the bathroom for shaver/hair dryer etc. and zero storage for bathroom necessities. Where would one keep their towels and bed linen, if you tell me under the bed, I'm going to ask what happens when the other half of a couple is still in the bed?
The kitchen, looked great, but was also lacking in storage, didn't see a facility for storing dishes. I didn't see a closet for coats/boots/shoes/umbrellas, and no space for a wardrobe in the bedroom. Didn't see a closet for a vacuum cleaner/mop/bucket/broom, unless the tall kitchen cabinet is to be used for that instead of a pantry.
The finishes were pleasant, but in such a small space I would consider a more streamlined approach - for instance, the wall sconces are attractive, but in a small space like a narrow hallway or bathroom, I see that as a hazard. I'm curious about the two sconces over the toilet too. Wondering why no light over the bathroom sink, where most of us brush our teeth, comb our hair, shave etc in front of the mirror. Was there space for a washer/dryer? Also wondering why the vapour barrier was on the cold side of the insulation - where I live it's code to place it on the warm side. Another question is why the stud walls weren't well secured at the top - mounting heavy objects like flat screens could cause problems there. Unsure if there was any extraction above the shower.
Generally if you don't have a functional space with room for storage, it creates an untidy environment which is detrimental to community participation. Were the girls standing around on their phones part of employing local labour to contribute to community goodwill also?
Amazing work bringing an old ruined place back to life! I'd forgotten how small British and European houses are. At least you can put in more money per square foot and give it a feel of luxury. I hope you were able to put in a set of stairs for the roof so there could be a patio deck/garden/grill area. That would be a nice addition.
NYC is going to be seeing this a lot very soon with these people practically destroying the hotels they've been living in.
I really admire people who work hard and are creative. Watching the video I found great entertainment
agree 😊
I would been more attentive to creating better Roof Slopes towards a Drain./lack of experience I guess..when I was 27, I knew it all also...lol
Hindsight is wonderful.
