Beautiful house but to many windows for me. More privacy is needed in the bathroom . Definitely a alarm system must be needed. To inviting for break in. Thanks for sharing 😊
Where are you from? For me, as a Central European, it’s absolutely crazy to watch how you make floors 😂 Here, we do concrete first, then waterproofing, then thermal insulation, then heating, then another layer of concrete, then another light layer of insulation, and finally the floor 😂
WTF? Woden floor? Why?! In these situation in Poland we make: sand, styrofoam or expanded clay, waterproofing, concrete base, flooring. No one fucks with foundation poles, beams etc. And what about worms? xD
Yeah, same deal in germany, if you don't have a cellar underneath. Every time I see some US house building stuff, I have the feeling, that they don't build to last. Good insulation + concrete foundation above it would be my choice. Also, with these wooden floor boards, you cannot use tiles for flooring. Even the elastic tile 'glue' will give up over time.
@@Ceen328 and one more thing - let a water pipe burst somewhere... good luck with the wooden floor :D In our case, you open the door and the water flows out. After 2 days you are dry.

Did anyone else notice that they were inconsistent about insulating the walls? Some of the exterior walls had areas with no insulation in them as they put up the drywall. 🤷♂️
I might be wrong but it appears at about the 15 minute to 16 minute mark they are putting drywall up with no insulation in the wall. All the other shots showed insulation but not this particular wall. What would be the reason for that? Also I don’t know why folks complained about the speed of the video, just change your speed setting if you want it slower.
Definitely some standard DIY mistakes going on hopefully they don't end up being major issues late. Definitely should have had some Vapor Barrier down some type of plastic in that Foundation covering the dirt also didn't appear that you used structural lumber for your joist.... I'm sure it's 100% better than it was
Thanks for the comment, here in Australia we don't normally use vapour barriers on the sub floor. We do care a lot about ventilation and letting the structure breathe. The bearers and joists used are termite and moisture resistant LVL's. They are structural and engineered and great to work with because they're straight as an arrow.
