    at the end of the day both variants are very good but just the rs ehev is a much better value and equipment 👌😄

    I drive a City Hatchback RS eHEV and I think its better power and refinement can justify its higher price tag. Not to mention some extra features like the electronic parking brake with auto brake hold.

    Neck-to-neck really. Is all depending on how much U drive weekly/ monthly. No harm to get the hybrid but beyond the warranty gotta keep an eye on battery and inverter (both would cost a bomb)

      Certainly. If you are not a frequent user, I believe the V-Spec is a more cost-effective option.

    not having spare tyre really a dumb move, just had blown out tyre, not punctured tyre and luckily there was spare tyre in my old vios car.

      besides, having torque figure of 250 ++ but can only managed to outpace 1.5 na only by a second in 0-100kmh race is just not worth it.

    you forgot to include interest rate for those 14000, which would be about 500. So you actually need longer time to recoup the value.

    After 10 years and 200k km the hybrid battery probably needs to be replaced, making the value near 0 (or scrap) for the hybrid car, whereas there will still be sensible retail value for the non-hybrid petrol variant; so all the minor fuel saving and maintenance differences for the hybrid are for nothing; and what about an earlier failure of the hybrid system after warranty runs out before the 10 years of age of the car? (There are many hybrid electric components that can fail)

      buy a hybrid only if you drive alot and to fight high fuel prices, 200K 300K KM after 10 years dump it away cheaply and be done with it

      If you drive 250,000 km with it and you compare it with 1 lt every 15km (no hybrid) with 1 lt every 20km (hybrid), with a petrol price of 2.05, you would spend around 8,500 ringgit less with the hybrid. If the fuel economy of the hybrid would be 1 lt every 25km and the price of petrol goes up by 50% (roughly the price of unsubsidized fuel probably) the difference becomes around 21,000 ringgit; and the non-hybrid car probably fetches 7.5k more at least compared to the battery depleted hybrid car… it makes no financial sense

      @@jrkoster I can't do these calculations but owning a car the running cost is the thing and in the end resale value another matter. Tbh if really need a car buy what works for you now, be it petrol, hybrid or even ev. All of them in the end gonna cost us money some more some lesser.

      Near zero value? Please fact check before you speak. Regardless of the value preposition, older Honda hybrids (previous gen Insight, Jazz hybrid, CRZ) are still kicking and battery replacement is available aftermarket around RM5000.

      Fact check first la before commenting😂 the hybrid battery cost is 6k new from honda. U can get cheaper at halfcut. Its not an ev to be scrap because of the battery cost😂

    Unfortunately Honda jacked up the price for the 2024 facelift models. Hence, the price is higher than the previous year.

    Thank goodness no more review about overhype Mazda cars. But that 7.3l/100km is a bit over. On average is like 5.6l/100km more or less.

      Not really, in a mixed of city and highways drive, on avg for most ppl, 7.3 is around there, some got better, some less.

      @@asyrafdanish3000 kalau dr segi rupa aku lg minat city hb.. dr segi keselesaan yaris lg selesa.. lg senyap.. jln tak rata lg selesa.. drive 140-150 still boleh dgr clear lg bila psg lagu.. city bila speed 120 xdgr apa dh.. city minyak lg jimat drive relax2 bole cecah 700km fulltank.. yaris 500km++ je.. kalau nk koner laju2 tajam city best lg.. yaris mcm turning radius dia luas sikit xbrp best.. byk lg.. masing2 ada kelebihan kekurangan..

    Your info isn't very accurate. I'm driving an 8 yo Honda jazz and am getting 14kml above for about 200km distance every night doing grab. That's like 7l/100km and that's including traffic jam and stuff. A hybrid should be alot more efficient than that.

      That just average calculation, depending on driving style, daily road condition, there are many getting 4l/100km for ehev. Agreed with the avg for most casual drivers.

      @@cavinong3828 but his calculation is way off the chart. A Honda salesman owns a Honda city hybrid n he's constantly getting around 24kml which is alot more efficient than my jazz. Last night I tried driving like a maniac speeding here n there for like 5 hours n I still got 13.6kml.

      @@hanknkh I owned a city ehev, yes consistently 24kml and I keep speed below 105 allowing motor drive most of time. BUT there are many others ehev drivers getting 18 to 22kml avg too. Especially if keep going 130kmh high speed, keep tekan accelerator hard. I find his avg within the expected range, not 100% but not really way out of chart if calc as avg for most ppl estimation or avg expectation.

      @@cavinong3828 u achieve that too? aww...my jazz these days could only achieve 15.5kml not more than that. If I do grab at daytime instead if night I guess I could only get around 12kml. Which makes hybrid cars alot more efficient and best part is Honda provides free battery swap if anything goes wrong within 8 years.

      @@hanknkh The 8 years hybrid warranty is pretty celup for Honda vs Toyota. Honda only warrantied the battery alone for 8 years, Toyota warranty include practically every components related to battery including Inverter and PMC, ECU. If Honda inverter kong after 5 years, that will be at least 7-10k for inverter if I am not wrong. My old city can achieve 15kml also if driven on highway but casual driving in city get 12kml too. When I drove the hybrid, my driving style changed to fuel saving mode automatically, haha. That means keeping my car below 110kmh to maintain mostly motorized drive. If I drove my old City, 110kmh will be my minimum. That is why you see some if us can hit 24km/l and above. Used regen paddle for some engine braking/recharging. Automatically never accelerate hard, accelerate gradually is super silent in eHev and if accelerate harder, the engine will turn on to prove power, can feel more vibration, so automatically no accelerating hard. With old City, vroom vroom liao (not hard, still definitely accelerate harder than eHev). Overall with the change of driving style, the savings is incredible, almost 80% increased mileage when compared to old City.
