Josh is honestly one of the greatest interviewers in my opinion. He really just has this amazing ability to not only ask meaningful questions, but expand on their responses in a meaningful way, keeping a calm and humorous atmosphere at the same time. I am so addicted to watching these interviews and podcasts.

It’s sincerely so beautiful and reassuring that everyone has these emotions about death. Bert saying “I don’t want it to happen” over and over guts me but also reassures me that it’s not only me having these really freaking hard emotions. Best episode

Imagine getting to eat food that a stranger's coworker's mother made for you with love and respect just because you like it. What a gift to experience life at this scale.
Ouff I was bawling my eyes out when Bert was talking about how it feels to lose someone and I'm very impressed with how well Josh held it together, but you could tell it wasn't easy. What a phenomenal episode.
I love crying with Bert, this past Honey Dew episode was my favorite...best marriage and parental advice ive heard yet....love from AZ🙌

Bert talking about falling in love with food Network in 2001 is a direct example of something Alton Brown said many many years ago in our interview that the events of September 11th push people to find comfort in food and that's what led directly to the explosion of the Food Network in popularity.

These two just vibe so well together. Their silliness compliments each other perfectly, and they’re both just such genuinely good people. Love them together. Somethings burning and last meals have never been better then these episodes with them both. Somehow josh equals Bert’s loveable obnoxiousness, and the watcher never gets annoyed. Love to see it

Bone Broth
This episode really changed how I look at Bert as a person. Of course hes a comedian and a haha man, but deep down he's such a genuine person and I resonate with a lot of the things he talked about. He says he isn't smart, or that he's dumb, but I think he's the complete opposite. I think he's someone who might not be curious about the world around him, but he's definitely someone who has taken it in and has molded himself into the best version of himself. Genuinely couldn't have asked for a better episode to come out for me right now. Thanks Josh, and everyone who has worked on last meals. You guys are doing so much more than you might think. You're creating a nice podcast, but more so, you've created a wonderful platform for some of the coolest people to come and reach out to your audience and shift their perspective on not only death, but how to live life to the fullest in spite of death. So once again, thank you Josh, Nicole, Vi, Trevor and the rest of the mythical kitchen crew. You're truly doing great work here.

I admire Bert’s ability to be so revelrous. He truly seems to enjoy and live in the moment as much as possible. As someone who’s much more reserved emotionally, it’s hard for me to really indulge and feel like I deserve the fullest of an experience.
Me and my wife took lsd once, and i ended up wearing just my jeans and was shirtless. She couldnt stop crying laughing and just saying "the machiiiiine" to me, thanks Bert

I loved Something's Burning with the Mythical Chefs so in my opinion this is the next logical progression. Thanks for not teasing this episode happening. My 2 favorite not professionally educated cooks together is the tops for me. I love when my worlds collide. Thanks so much. I needed this so badly this morning. I'm editing this post reading alot of the comments and it makes me sad how many people took the time to be crappy people on purpose. I get that we live in a world where people have the ability to speak on other folks lives and life choices, but dang. Bert is one of the best hearted people and doesn't hide behind the veil of celebrity. His transparency is refreshing and I think it's needed. But I'm just a guy. No one important, so what do I know?

I cannot express how much I appreciate hearing Bert speak on his daughters & education. I have a brain like him, my daughter’s father is like Josh. One twin turned out like me & the other like him. Having successful parents myself it was always hard to explain why I just didn’t understand school. His explanation is something I’ll never forget & will use to assist my like minded daughter through life. ❤❤❤ Thank you so much!!!😊
i love the spectrums of vibes across the last meals, like we had warm earnest energy with kelly roland last time and now we have fun stories back to back with bert kreischer. i really like getting to know these people this way cause i don't know the people featured here most of the time

I have so much respect for Burt. He's a dude that openly admits that he isn't that smart. But he embraces it and chooses to live life to the fullest, embracing all of his own idioscyncracies. He may not be the smartest guy on the planet, but living like that seems pretty intelligent to me.
This somehow ended up being one of the most fun but also one of the most powerful episodes of this show yet.
This has given me a genuinely different outlook on Bert. Some actually great insight and his bit on school/learning was heartwarming.

Such an awesome episode. Honest and true humor, heartfelt and straightforward. I've been through substance issues and have lost quite a few friends over the years being associated with gang violence and military service. Humor and substances were how we often coped and healed, but there's so much out there besides those mechanisms. Reaching out over a meal with a good friend is always appreciated. God bless and stay strong, brother.

The first thing I saw was a comment saying Bert was close to death and it kind of soured my mood. It was sad. But now I’ve finished the video and Bert is by far the kindest soul and deserves the most life primarily because he’s enlightened so many others lives. My favorite guest. As someone who constantly fears death, I relate to everything he’s saying. Even from a ‘commoner’ pov. Life is spectacular sometimes and the fomo is real.

Absolutely love SOS! My grandfather was in the Army during WWII and he fell in love with in and that love has been passed down! Also love that Josh called Scrapple "livermush," I used to live in the town that is the home of the Livermush Festival. Only ate it once, that was enough!
As annoying as he can sometimes I don't understand how burnt chrysalis gets so much hate from EVERYONE. He's just a regular guy that loves life and his family. And wants everyone around him to have a good time. 🤷♂️👖
I actually have something to say about scrapple. Scrapple is from the province "Noord-Brabant", they make it in other provinces also, Limburg being the most credible contender, however, the most old recipe stems from Noord-Brabant. It is located in the south of the Netherlands. When Bert said Dutch country something clicked in me and I laid links to the recipe!
It's called "Balkenbrij" which rougly means "brij van gebalchte" meaning it's a mix of all the gutted buthery remaining meats from roughly the belly area. I was quite suprised to see this in this episode and excited to learn another name for the recipe. I've grown up on this stuff. Our neighbours dad used to make this fresh and I used to watch him make it. It was the best stuff for sure. We eat it baked slightly crispy on a slice of bread.
