@@pichetong229 yea you have to replace the whole cover!! The spark plug well seals are not serviceable!! But the valve cover and new gasket is pretty cheap and easily installed
I was watching this video for the very first part, removing the top engine cover. I specifically wanted to know what is holding onto the top right side. Then in the video, he just brute force rips it off without commenting on it. IDK if he broke something or if that is really what is required. LOL
was leaking from spark plug tubes got oem dealer cover and gasket changed and leaks again from same spots spark plug tubes only why? i got new vcover too with tube seals
Did that customer have trouble with the engine losing alot of oil and burning oil due to the spark plug gaskets on the valve cover leaking? My 2015 altima is using about 1 quart per 150 miles, smoke cloud on morning start up. only 50k miles on my car.
Is that really necessary unscrew the motor mount to replace the valve cover gasket? I have 2013 altima and I'm about to do it but first saw your video because I'm new doing it
I don't see any other vids on the 2013-2017 model. Is it absolutely essential to use an engine support like you use? I am ready to go and DIY. I don't have an engine support. Is it too risky to do this job without one? Hope you can answer asap, cause I need to get this done today before sun sets. thanks
@@DULLAHGOSOHARD thx. I talked to Nissan guy at ask.com and he said can use wood blocks, which I went and got. Long pieces from wheel to wheel stacked right up to touching bottom. He didnt think weight if engine would harm tranny oil pan. What do you think? Thx again!

Dullah Goso hard i had same issue and i replaced whole cover new oem and i checked coils after 500miles it was leaking again! idk i even used torque wrench proper values any ideas??
Your video was extremely informative.👍🏽I was able to change my valve cover with confidence due to your expertise
How tight did you torque the bolts down on the valve cover?
It's doable with patience, thanks!
Thanks I am doing my 2013 tomorrow, I had oil in the spark plug wells and she was running ruff. I hope this fixes my problem.
I have the same car (2013 2.5SV Altima) with the same problem. Did you have to replace the cover? Did it fix the problem?

@@thein1990 I'm glad I found this. I'm having an oil leak as well on my sparkplug. I guess I'll order a new cover.

Ever found out why?
Installed wrong!!
Do u think if I follow your instructions it's easy to replace the valve cover gasket
is impact gun necessary to do it or can i use manual socket wrenches?
Manual is fine
Perfectly done, thank you.
i would like to know What kind of screws does the cover use?
So does this fix the problem where the car smokes on start up?

Big up 👍. You helped me alot .
Where did you get the valve cover from . Nowhere in Miami has them in stock
Does it need to be reprogrammed after
i think i missed the part you placed threebond on there?
No i didn't put any three bond or gasket maker the rubber gasket it come with seal it pretty good
Do u have to jack the motor underneath?
Yes

Yes that is a must you can use the jack from your car it is very important to support the engine

Just clean and install without silicone?
Jowy Bigio yes no silicone the rubber should be good enough
Dullah Goso hard thanks bro
@@DULLAHGOSOHARD what happen if put alittle bit of silicone??? I just did today what you did but i put silicone all around the valve cover.
That's good you can't be too safe

I have engine oil in one of my spark plugs. Will i need to replace the valve cover and gasket?
The whole valve cover because the gasket doesn't come with the rubber around the plug

@@DULLAHGOSOHARD so if oil is leaking from the spark plug wells you have to replace the valve cover ???
@@stresr213 yes because the seal for the tube is in the valve cover and can't be removed
Why did you have to replace the valve cover gasket on such a new model car?
Edward Wedding it was eating the oil
Do I need a pneumatic drill or will a wireless drill be enough to break the bolts on the engine mount ???
No you dont i just used because am at work
Thank you
Is it necessary to buy the whole valve cover if theres a little oil in one of the wells.. Or would a gasket fix this problem
The gasket cant ge change by it self on some so i would say its safer going this way
@@DULLAHGOSOHARD thanks bro getting one for 70$ at 1a auto
Where exactly did you place the jack
Price for labor?
Make sure you follow these steps all right lol
🤣😂🤣
Dude why the hell you using the drill to put the bolts on? You’re applying way too much torque to them doing it that way.
Why did you replace the valve cover and not just the gasket?
ELIUD MARTINEZ yes it came with the new one
Nice torque wrench 😖
