Rewatched the part of this video that is centered around Great. I needed to hear this atm. I am 100 lbs down, and has in many ways moved from Very Bad to Good. I legit feel like I would be comfortable at this place, but I wont feel Great. I want to get to Great. Thank you for all you do, Carla and Ger!
In my experience, those who stop at good tend to regain, those who get to great don’t. 🙏🏻
@@HalfofCarla Thank you for your answer and your insights. I needed to hear this - kind of a harsh truth, but better to hear it now, than to regain all later :)
💜💜💜 NEVER LOSE HEART!
I’m 65, started BodySlims in September ‘22 and have lost 90 lbs so far. I’m halfway to “great” and confident that the BodySlims process (just doing the routine on a daily basis) will get me to my goal! I may still technically be in the “super bad” range, but I FEEL brilliant! BodySlims has made that difference!
Always more insight and wisdom to gain from you two - Carla, whose footsteps I follow - and Gerard, the man who is leading me out of “the mess“ I got myself into (and all the confusion that comes with it)! Thank you for this! Thank you for all you do!
You are amazing Julie!!! Well done to you and for the rest of your journey xx
@@HalfofCarla thank you!
WAY TO GO !!!!!!!!!
❤❤❤
Amazing!!!! I'm about half way from super bad to great as well. I consider myself in the fair category though because my fitness level has improved so much and I have lots of energy and so much less pain. Just some food for thought!!!!! I'm so proud of what you've accomplished!!!! We can do this!
💜💜 Hey Carla! Love these vids with Gerard! He’s the best, helped me immensely. If anyone is on the fence about signing on to Bodyslims just want to say it really is an amazing experience and Gerard is the real deal, excellent coach, …and April 2023 will be my 3rd cycle, and I’ll be getting to “great”. Excited & can’t wait.
Thank you for sharing. I have signed up for April 2023 for the first time.
Amazing!! Here comes great 🖤
A lot of common sense being said there and words of wisdom all round. I start my first bodyslims cycle in April, and I'm really looking forward to it! I've lost 3 stone already and have 2.5 stones to go. I also stopped drinking 2 years ago to improve my health, and have never looked back. There's a lot to be said for a positive mindset, but also a sense of community helps too. Being part of a programme with others around to inspire and support each other is like a tonic. Thanks, Carla and Ger, for this great video and insight. I'm really looking forward to getting underway 😊
💜💜💜 I signed up to the April Bodyslims about two weeks ago and am so looking forward to it! It will be my first one and I started walking 30 to 60 minutes first thing in the morning in preparation and roughly counting my calories. I‘m already 2,8 kg down and feel so motivated! Thanks Carla for introducing me to Bodyslims and thanks Gerard for putting this program together and making it affordable! 🙏🏻
The distinction about “great” is SO helpful! I’d gone up and down in my weight over most of my life and definitely been in the “good” category then falling to “bad” from time to time and listening to you, I realize I want to follow through to actually reach my goal now. Thank you
💜💜💜 brilliant video !!!! loooooved the end....when J. said, never lose hope !!!! thank you both, so much !
sorry...G, i meant.
I think you're finally on the right track to great when you can take responsibility for your own success. I really struggled with that towards the end of the first l January program when people were giving me so much praise. It actually led me to self sabotage and I was so shocked by that. But, a few weeks later, I can see clearly what I've accomplished and it was brilliant! I looked at myself in the mirror last night and it's like the change blindness evaporated. I'm not yet where I want to be, but I've come so far already. We truly do hold the pen and can write our own story. We don't only own our failures, but also our successes. Thanks so much for this interview. I've been missing my daily videos and it was nice to hear Ger's voice. 💜💜💜
Well done Kristin Anne, what a great breakthrough you have had xx
💜💜💜 finished my first programme a couple of weeks ago - lost 22lbs - all signed up for April 26 and really looking forward to it. A super super programme. Utterly transformative. Thank you Ger & Carla :)
Trying to get an opinion on this..I'm a little worried to pay for this after hearing about the low carb aspect of the program. I have chronic fatigue and have done low carb before and it put me in bed more so than ever. My husband said I can never do that again! 😮 Will it still be worth it if I can't do the low carb? I also have IBS and sometimes plain simple carbs are the only way out of pain.
💜💜💜thank you for another inspiring video! I learn so much from each one I watch and I am so very grateful to you🥰
I’m so thankful that I found your utube videos. I had never heard of bodyslims before. I’m starting soon in April for the first time. Thank you to you and Gerard.
💜💜💜 Brilliant! Can’t wait for April 26 and round three for me! It’s life-renewing 😘
I loved the advice on vacations - "you can DO IT, just don't OVERDO it"! Such common sense! So often it's vacations and holidays that throw me so far off track and set me into a downward spiral. This is such sensible advice - you can still make wise choices, have one of something, not two or three. You can still drink your water and still take a walk, etc. It seems once I throw the freedom to eat to the wind, I stop doing everything else, too - leading to a mega disaster when I get home to face the scale. I've written this down and plan to apply it to my next trip away from home - thank you!
Oh my-lanta! Love this interview. Gerard is so wonderful. His focus on keeping it simple. 💯 agree!! THANK YOU Ms. Carla for all you are sharing with us to SHOW UP for OURSELVES!! ❤🙏💪💜🏃♀️

Great video Carla and Gerad, thank you so much. Just found you recently and have joined for April 26 and can't wait to start. Already started my hour a day walk to prepare and I'm truly enjoying it. 💜💜💜

Motivation comes from consistent action towards a goal. The more you are actively taking those steps toward your goal, the better you feel feel about your ability to succeed, which will increase your motivation and self esteem which in turn motivates you.
💜💜💜 This program has been life changing for me. I still have a long way to go but I'm farther down the path than I ever hoped possible and looking forward to see where it goes. A massive thank you to you, Carla, for being so open in your journey, and for Gerard making the BodySlims program as amazing as it is. 💜💜💜

Carla can probably speak to this more than I can but I have done two cycles of Body Slims and am currently in my third. I have done the lower carb option and the “slow train” as Gerard calls it, which is just adhering to a calorie limit. Both have worked for me. The lower carb is faster, admittedly, but you can work the program either way and still be successful as long as you’re consistent.
Great video ❤

Love you guys! Wish I could afford a third round, but had a dr appt today and he was very impressed at my 40 pound weightloss and I told him all about BodySlims! Xxox 💜💜💜

💜 I signed up for my first bodyslims April 26th. The videos with Gerard are so helpful in understanding what it will be like. I was wondering if the daily walks have to be outdoors, I have a treadmill I currently use. Where I live in CA is all hills no flat roads nearby.
Yes they can be on a treadmill. I can't wait to see how you get on Jennifer xx

@@HalfofCarla hello :)
Oh, thank you ! That's exciting
Thanks for answering my questions, Gerard and Carla! I’m between BS sessions right now and am doing exactly what you recommended - walking daily and eating healthy. I did take a break from tracking because it makes me a bit batty. I still think a maintenance program would be a great addition. Carla would be perfect to lead it. 😉💜

@@rrooster8218yes, at one point there is a very low carb meal plan that’s highly encouraged, but you can continue with the program simply tracking your calories and that’s ok. Unfortunately, that part can be triggering for some.

I live in France..lots of vegan options here..( we are vegan ) even vegan bakeries 😳😩… I’ve signed up for April with a two week California road trip in May..determined to walk more than ever…
I wish there were in Brittany, I had nearly no options where my partner is from 😭
💜💜💜 starting April
Thanks for the video. Brilliant. Can you please explain to me what does it mean 3 for 2? Thank you.
Hi Frau- 3 for 2 is a food/menu option on the B/S program. You get three meal choices for every meal for 2 weeks. It helps kickstart your weight loss and keeps shopping and planning very simple.
Jared--great name. My son is named Jared!!! ❤
❤❤❤ I love you both so much! What a Godsend you both are! God love your hearts.
In the beginning how did you get over the pain of moving 1hr a day at one time ? I think I remember you mention it was recommended to do the 1hr at once not split up? I lost 116 from my highest and at times find it hard to do daily 1hr walks. Sometimes I over do it one day a week lol.. Is that part of the discipline and getting better over time?

You are very pretty with your hair pulled up!
Thanks Toni! I’m loving my new hair!
What does it mean doing at 3/ 2?
I had a question. After a cycle, is another 10 weeks a repeat of the same seminars recorded?
💜💜💜
💜💜💜💜
💜💜💜Thanks for the information. I'm looking forward to starting in April for my 1st session. I have a question for Carla or anyone reading this who has done Bodyslims before. I was/am extremely unfit. I've started walking every day in an effort to be fit enough to do the one hour a day. I've had injuries in the past and don't want to go from 0 to 60 and hurt myself and get derailed right at the start. I've been walking for about 2 and a half weeks and am up to about 50 minutes at a quick pace(for me). It's killing me! Lol. My question is... for anyone who started out in rough shape like me(essentially a couch potato), how long did it take you to enjoy the walking? I know everyone is different and not to compare, but I would love to hear others' experiences to maybe get a rough idea. I must say I hate it while I'm doing it and have to push myself, but afterwards, I do feel good.
Heya - take it easy. When you do it, it’s a simple walk for an hour. Yes, as weeks go by and weight goes down you get faster. But it’s an hour walk, that’s it and that’s all. I can guarantee you, if you commit 100%,,,,,,this will be the best program you have done. Read the testimonials on the website, give it ten weeks, on my goddaughter, it’s phenomenal. Best of luck! Post your final result in a reply here on July 5th 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
@alandbs thank you for your response. I will try to slow it down a bit. If I still do the same distance, that should get me to one hour, and hopefully, I will enjoy it then. Thanks for the suggestion. I can't wait to be fit and am so inspired by all the positive feedback from past participants!
Hi, I was the same as yourself, very unfit & did the same built up my walking before it started. I think you have done great to get up to 50mins already. Don't push yourself too much keep going at a good pace but don't put pressure on yourself to speed up or go further that will come in time naturally. I did suffer a bit with my feet (new runners sorted that) then plantar fasciitis, which a friend gave me the cure for. When you start listening to Gerard you will feel so motivated it will help with the walking. I would have him in my ear & lived every minute if it. I'd say after around 4-5 weeks the walking became something I enjoyed & looked forward to.
@Fiamac Thank you for the inspiration! I can't wait to enjoy my walks. I think I have been putting too much pressure on myself. It's only April 3rd, and I've got until the 26th. You have given me hope that it will get better.
Hi there! I will be starting my first BS program in April as well. I am a remote worker, a nurse no less, and have been sedentary since the pandemic forced my role into telehealth. I went from being an ICU nurse going 90 mph to 0 overnight and gained huge amounts of weight and rapidly deconditioned. I started walking 15 minutes a day about 7 weeks ago in preparation for the April start date. I'm at 30 minutes 5-6 days per week now (my shins are not appreciating the activity). I'm kind of ok with that time, my neighborhood is on a mountain and my walks are like urban hikes with my loop being a steep incline, decline, and incline to get home. Some days it hurts so bad and I whine the whole time, but like you, once I'm home I feel great and have no regrets. I'm hoping to increase my time this week but that means increasing my distance and that means more inclines and that means more whining! 💜💜💜
