    💜 I needed to hear this today! The old “perfection” was rearing it’s head along with self-berating, self-judging and self-shaming. My focus from now on will be to strive to be as good as I can be on any given day and be content with that.

      I am so guilty of perfectionism myself, so easy to do. But If we can learn to meet ourselves where we are we might just strive more because we finally get the rest we need x

    💜Great video! Sometimes I think we are our own worst enemies. We put so much pressure on ourselves, way more than we would put on a family member, or friend. We have those destructive conversations in our heads, and often quit because we are convinced we’re going to fail anyway. I’ve had a few days where I didn’t stick to my plan, but I got right back on it the next day. I’ve had some detours but I’m determined to lose the weight this time.

    💜 I am registered for the January 17th BodySlims start, but I am not waiting to start doing what I can! I was fortunate to find an acquaintance who has done BodySlims twice and lost 40 pounds and she has been a godsend to me. I am logging my food & I am trying to build up my step count every day. I have over !00 pounds to lose and have found you to be an inspiration! 🌺

    💜 You've become such a big part of my NSV. Listening to your journey hits home. You hit a wall and determined "this is it!" And didn't look back. I think the before and after difference is acceptance and forgiveness of one's self. It's easier for me to get back on track or maybe not even leave the track when I look at the big picture.
    My biggest struggle has been acceptance of the scale. My daughter gets married Saturday (so blessed 🙌). I got the perfect dress Nov of'21. It didn't fit in June. I hired a personal trainer to address my nutrition and physical needs. We've had a lot of stress, mostly good, but a lot. The wedding has been very positive, no bridezilla, lol! Anyway, my trainer helped me gain a lot of muscle and lose fat, decreasing my size. I will be wearing the dress and feeling great.
    It is still strange that my weight has bounced (fluids) but not changed significantly. Like only 5 pounds. I haven't worked this hard in years and I feel amazing but that scale. It reigns too high in my mind sometimes still!

    The person who said he/she didn’t feel joy at the 2-3 pounds a week they were losing. I think consistently losing 2-3 pounds a week is great! I’m struggling to lose 1/2 - 1 pound a week. I have gotten my mindset that if I’m losing weight, great! If I stayed the same weight, great! And, most importantly, if I gained, ok, next week will be better. Even the week I might not lose, I could feel the difference on the way my clothes fit. I didn’t gain this weight in a few months, and I’m not going to lose it in a few months.

    💜 Thank you Carla! This was a very helpful video. I lost 23 pounds with my first session of Body Slims and I have the same mind set that I want to press on and get more weight off of me prior to the January session... rather than just maintaining the loss. So thank you for addressing how you handled the in between sessions time. Looking forward to your tips for navigating Christmas. 💜

    Can't tell you how much this video has helped me ,. I was beating myself up for not doing the 3 for 2, but I wanted to eat food s I could enjoy as I did not want to break out and binge, all round my eating has improved so much , weight loss is very slow , but I'm still on the pitch 😊🖤💜

    Very valuable video thanks! The fact that you managed this by not doing the 3 for 3, and still ate some carbs is encouraging! As a vegetarian it is hard to cut carbs.

    💜 thank you so much for answering my question!!! Great advice and I am doing the same as what you suggest - continuing with a calorie deficit and easing up the walking speed on some days.     Hi Carla - Thanks SO much. Really helpful as I just finished the Christmas BodySlims (which I LOVED and found amazingly helpful on so many different levels...) But it was really good to find out how you handled the program and how you handled post-program. I'm walking daily, but the food is a LITTLE bit of a trick - so this just helped inspire me. 🙂

    💜 I really miss BS! There was great joy in logging my walks every day and seeing if I'd got faster/ gone further. I am signed up to January but it seems so far away. Ger was an incredible motivator. I need BS 365! My question is, did you feel a sense of loss during the breaks or how did you manage to stay consistent without the app?

      When I did it there was so much less. I did it in person for the first round so literally the only thing we got was the seminar on a wednesday and nothing else. I'd suggest if you have instagram to follow people who are active on it and do the programme. xx

      I think the number of ads is more based on the number of subscribers/views, so to me this means she is very popular- as she should be. IMO she should have hundreds of thousands of subscribers!

    Consistent, effective and lasting weight loss is not like a bank robbery. It is really more like embezzlement. Your body has safety mechanisms that protects it against bank robbery weight loss. Know the difference, and be amazed.

    And I’m wondering @Carla how long you had maintained your weight loss before you got pregnant (I know you probably said this in other videos, I just don’t remember) . . . and the reason I’m asking is because something you said about being more restricted in your approach while on BS, made me think that is the opposite of what I’ve heard other people say in order to maintain weight loss (in other words, to drop the “diet” view and instead make lifestyle changes from the beginning). I know you also are vegan and do IF but I’m not sure if you started those habits with your weight loss journey or before (I think you had said before as far as being vegan but I don’t know about the IF).
    Anyway, I feel very encouraged by your authenticity and clearly what you are doing has worked and continues to work (bravo on the post partial weight loss which I imagine in some ways might be hardest of all).
    I’d lost 34 lbs last summer simply by increasing exercise, going on vacation (you might say dropping stress), and giving up coffee and dairy (usually cream in my coffee), then I did IF to maintain it afterwards (and because I really wanted to have coffee again!). That maintenance worked for about a year but I still have more to lose and suddenly I started gaining (which brought me to my doctor who is now treating me for thyroid disease). I’m feeling back on track and ready to release the rest and get to my healthiest goal but I want to be realistic about not only how fast I can lose weight but most importantly, how effectively I can keep it off for good. Your channel is definitely a big part of my staying optimistic instead of overwhelmed about it all. Thank you xoxo 💜

    I thought I had a good weight loss until I heard this video. I am thrilled with the progress I made but I must have done something wrong during my 1st course. After the initial big loss, I didn't have any others. I am curious as to what I did wrong..maybe I will find out in the next course. Did you continue to lose more than 1/2 lbs a week during all of your courses?

    Do you have suggestions on what to do between now and the session in January? Are there resources available to get in the right headspace in the meantime? I am new to being a full-time digital nomad and am curious how to make this work while I am on the road in new countries with new foods everywhere. I do cook from my Airbnbs part of the time, but I'm also on planes and trains, etc.

      I would say try to get familiar with calorie tracking so you know how to do it, but don't worry about being in a calorie deficit until the start. Perhaps start to walk 15 mins a day, just so you are in a good starting condition and perhaps get a diary and begin to do some journaling on any feelings that come up during now and then and during the programme xx

    💜Hi Carla! I’m a new sub after hearing your podcast with April Lauren. I was so inspired that I signed up for Body Slim immediately. After watching a few of your videos about it, I do have a few concerns around tracking calories. I’ve tried this before and could never maintain it. That’s why WW didn’t work for me. It seems like when in maintenance you’re still weighing and tracking. My goal is to eventually be able to eat reasonably and naturally. Do you think this is possible with Body Slim or have I signed up for a lifetime of calorie obsession? No offense to you whatsoever. You’re obviously very successful and tracking and weighing works for you. This is purely about my own goals and mental limitations. Thanks so much.

      Thank you so much for you message, If you have a look at my maintenance update I share how I no longer count calories 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 I don’t have to. I needed to to lose weight and no I’m done and after all the work I’ve done I’ve been living in maintenance for nearly 6 months without needing to count calories because bs helped me to change my habits and understand my behaviour xx

    Can you do the walk on a treadmill? I'm a carer to my disabled daughter and have 6 other kids so walking at home on my treadmill means I don't need babysitters???
