Watching you and Gerry do what you call scramble for me is like watching a good suspense movie the tension builds till i break into a cold sweat as it gets steeper and steeper and you two are chatting away like your on a afternoon stroll but i find it as always absolutely fascinating.
Brilliant video guys looks lovely ,but you have to be on your toes and wits about you to climb up there and back thank goodness you both have both , thankyou for taking us with you felt like i was climbing up there with you like a couple of mountain goats , ( not saying your couple of old goats ) take care stay safe luv susan 🐐🐐🐐xx
Amazing video. Curved ridge was the route of my childhood, followed by going straight up the front of crowberry tower. Nowadays I prefer north buttress though.
Always like these videos. Nice to meet Gerry on the Strathfarrar circuit and I must thank him for giving myself and others a lift back to the carpark. True gentleman.
Great video, rather you than me on the scrambling bits, had a fantastic day on Ben More and Stob Binnein today, got speaking to a guy on S.B and recommended your channel to him so you might have another subscriber.
Enjoyed that, Murray. I share your love of Curved Ridge. Having seen what I believe to be your van parked up as I reached home last night I look forward to your videos from this weekend's trip. 👍
strange this video popped up I am just back this afternoon from a camp on the Buachaille I went up the walking path with my tent etc yesterday in 25 degree heat 18 kg it was a killer down took no time but up with the weight ! I hope your sacs were light ! great vid really enjoyed the different route keep em coming
Thanks for another great video I keep this mountain for my last Munro in 2018 . But I do love a scrabble so am definitely going to climb curve ridge it looks amazing.
Great video. Gerry and your fitness is inspiring. The energy required to scramble / climb that sort of ascent and descend again is not to be underestimated. Thank you for sharing these videos.
Great to see the double duo back again.... I've no idea how you tackle those ridges and here's me Murray waiting to go tackle an infamous ridge in McGillicuddy s Reeks in Kerry Ireland tomorrow! Nothing like Scottish Mountains as I recently found out for sure :) .... Great video thks so much ☘️
Another fantastic video! Love it when you and Gerry get together! Some absolutely amazing footage of your climb. Thanks for taking us with you!😊👍 take care, Shell and Pete
A fantastic vlog Murray! I've never been fit enough to ever attempt something like that! Now 67yo and age related problems, I'll enjoy watching you & friends do the climbing (LOL!) I'lll stay lower and photograph the grandure of that place when I can travel back to Scotland from Australia again. Love your channel, Cheers from Aus!
Wonderful! I did the route in ‘19, the day after Aonach Eagach - what an amazing one-two punch on the last two days of a 12-day Highlands visit. I can vouch for the difficulty of finding the start of the route, as I floundered about solo for a while before stumbling upon it! Thanks for sharing your adventures Murray! They’ll keep me going until I get back, hopefully, next May. ATB from Canada’s left coast!
Wonderful stuff as usual Murray, you got some great footage. This has been on my bucket list for about 30 years, but I always found reasons to put it off for another day!
Was sitting at the summit and heard voices below and a pre teen girl appeared below me with her dad. Was really impressed and intrigued about the route they came up. Between yourself and another vlogger "Stripey". now I know!
@@trevorspence7127 checked my calendar and unfortunately it wasn't, 27th of June was the date. Anyway impressive that there's more than one youngster willing and able to attempt this, kudos to the two of you.
A nice scramble. Reminds me of the Rocky Mountains around and between Jasper and Banff with the added thrill of keeping a lookout for large ambulatory ursines. Thank you!
Always good to do Curved Ridge. 100% agree on finding the start the first time. It does take a bit of looking about, but subsequent ascents are much easier. It was always my 'going home' route after a 2 week trip to Scotland. If you made an early start, you could be back down by lunchtime and just get back to southern end of the A1 by midnight. I always felt the crux was a rather polished chimney about a third of the way up. Quite a short section, but the rock had definitely worn smooth and it seemed more iffy (albeit technically simpler) than the steep corner. The big corrie used for descent is notorious for late season cornice collapse avalanches, including long run-out events that can almost reach that cottage. When I tried to 'fact check' this, I kept getting hits for the 2009 incident, but am pretty sure there was a long run out almost down to the road at one time.
Amazing Murray, would love to do this one day. I want to do the Munro’s via this route but think it may just be outside my comfort zone 😂 my route finding is not the best. Great Video, James
Nope. That camera makes me giddy 😂 I’d probably do that scramble but not alone. I camped up there a couple of weeks ago. Huge pack stepping off the walkers path top onto a big patch of snow was shall we say “tense” 😂 I’m glad you said that about it as I thought I was being a wimp. Anyhoo great little vid. Enjoyed it. Cheers. Atb 👍
I'm always amazed how people give your videos the thumbs up within a minute of you posting it despite the video lasting in this case 13mins and usually a lot longer. Perhaps it's foresight or just good luck based on past experience. So I'm 2mins in and here's mine. Cheers Murray.
People know they are not going to be disappointed with Murray's adventure's,he never let's us down always amazing content, its not people who put a thumbs up its people who put a thumbs down I find puzzling stay safe Jim
@@scotlandsbest3981 His videos are always of a high standard. I was actually surprised I was the first to comment! I guess I just got fortuitous timing. The vid had been recommended, I watched it all. Probably put the like and comment in about halfway through. It's good - especially for the algos - to have a loyal and appreciative audience! ;-)
That camera makes me feel sick as well - and I remain unconvinced by your claim that it's not as vertical as it looks! Great to watch those who are fit and experienced enough for the challenge, though - thanks!
Did you have a different helmet set up for your camera? I was really noticing the ‘ghost’ of a pole when you moved your head around. (It’s probably just me; it’s okay to say so!)
I bet you Murray is just a modest gentleman and the headcam makes it easier than it looks! Anyway, I nearly collapsed doing Beinn Ghlas. I get major stiffness in my thigh area above my knee and TBH, I've always struggled with climbing stairs since I was a kid. I'm taking up cycling to hopefully strengthen these muscles, can anyone recommend anything that can assist me with climbing? Cheers.

Hi Murray. Me and my Dad did Stob Dearg the other day and can confirm what Gerry says, the walkers path down is bloody steep! 🤣🤣
I Always watch the whole advert/s on this channel the only one I do, never skip so that Murray gets all the royalties, thanks for the videos!
Thank you 🙏

Cracking video Murray. Nothing else to say really. Loved it. ATB and stay safe
Very beautiful and so kind of you to share the journey with us. I loved the mist surrounding you on that climb, very ethereal and magical!
Definitely putting this on my list. Love Glen Coe so much.
Glencoe is an amazing place :)

Absolutely breathtaking. Balls of steel both of you, thanks for this fantastic video Murray and Gerry. God Bless!
Great video again, makes me feel like coming back to Scotland to give some of these a try. Thanks
Love the videos with Gerry, always fun! Those action camera shots certainly emphasise the steepness. Although I'm sure it's scary enough in real life.
Incredible Murray. Thank You so much for sharing your wonderful adventures in the beautiful Scottish Mountains. This Is Superb!

Brilliant as usual Murray 👍🏻 Been waiting to do this for a while now, hopefully hit it soon enough.
Love that route! Climbed it a few times now, great work!
It’s a fantastic way up the mountain :) 👍👍

Amazing stuff! What camera do you use for the 360 videos (or ultra wide) shots? Amazing camera and gives such a great view!!
Hi - it’s an old 360 insta camera :) 👍
At 4:24 what was the route mentioned that was to be avoided in the wet?
Arrochar schist - he was referring to the rock type in the Arrochar alps rather than a specific route
