Eden's Crush was an American girl group who were created on the American television series Popstars which aired on AOL Time Warner's WB. The group was formed in early 2001 and consisted of Ana Maria Lombo, Ivette Sosa, Maile Misajon, Nicole Scherzinger and Rosanna Tavarez.
Hundreds of girls competed to become pop stars in early 2000 on the TV series Popstars, produced by David Foster. The group was narrowed down to five finalists, Ivette Sosa, Maile Misajon, Ana Maria Lombo, Nicole Scherzinger and Rosanna Tavarez, over several prime time episodes. Warner Bros./Sire Records signed the group to a recording contract before the band was named or had finalized its membership, due to the hours of network television exposure the group would receive.[2]
The group's debut single, "Get Over Yourself" topped the Canadian Singles Chart and peaked at number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100. "Love This Way" was released as promotional singles in some radio stations. Their album Popstars was certified gold, and peaked at number 6 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. The group also guest starred as themselves on the television show Sabrina, the Teenage Witch. Also in 2001 they played as a support act on some dates for *NSYNC's Pop Odyssey Tour and Jessica Simpson's DreamChaser Tour and they also went on tour with Play.[3] At the end of 2002, their record company, London-Sire Records, folded and the group eventually disbanded.
Nicole Scherzinger ended up being in The Pussycat Dolls.

Nicole has become one of my female idols v few months back I slated Nicole sherzinger v then I decided to look into her life v wow so impressed v she was awesome in the pussycat dolls she could sing and dance then someone said she was in a band before the dolls called Edens crush v wow Nicole has worked dam hard to get her super star name has of who she is today she's a class act and inspiration to young girls now she's back with the pussycat dolls 2020 is her year for sure dolls to dominate again go girls !!
Some of these women went on to audition for the first season of American Idol. One became an actress.

11:27 this convo is probably the reason Baby wasn't picked for the group. The producers had a vision and wont want someone questioning their decision. Likely that the MUA reported back to the producers? If she was opinionated like this now, imagine if she WAS selected for the group.
I often wonder what would have happened if Margaux and Kerrie had not left... what do you think? Anyway Shaunda and Cheaza were wonderful singers and would have given a huge contribution to the group.
I'm pretty sure Kerrie was in. Too bad the contract scared her away :(
Kerri definitely had one of the strongest voices of the bunch. I just think she probably didn't want to play a "sexier" popstar role, which ended up being what Eden's Crush was. I think if Kerri and Margaux did not leave, the group would have been different. It would have been more diverse, not a latin-ish pop group. And obviously Maile wouldn't have ever been in the group.
Margaux's voice was rly good !

That first cut was HORRIBLE! The second one was bad too, but the first was a mess.
And why audition new girls?! Just bring back one of the other girls and really work with her on her voice. These judges didn’t want to do any artist development and that’s what’s wrong with the industry till this day.
In all honesty, there are a million people who are naturally talented and don't need a lot of time or work to get them career-ready. They don't have to develop an artist to find someone who can sing, dance, or pick up choreography quickly. If someone wants to do this for a living, they should take dance and voice lessons on their own.
I feel like someone should have told Cheazea that she gets turned down for everything because she comes on way too strong and overpowering. She tries too hard and overdoes it; she almost didn't make it through due to her overdoing it with her dancing and her goofy distracting headdress.
