I like the similarities of Drive and Blade Runner. Think they went for the same type of character for Joe as the Driver like the loneliness of the characters, the driving alone etc. Even the ending is the same, both lying there injured when you're unsure if they're dead or not.
I also like how the roles are mirrored, where The Driver is an outwardly emotionless man, who tries to become the steely eyed hero, K is a supposedly emotionless robot, who wants to be a son to have that emotional connection between himself and a parent.
Most tragic character in modern cinema, First he thought his whole life he's nothing more than a replicant , he learnt that none of the memories ever belonged to him, His only true reflection - Joi (Virtual gf) was erased with her memories tainted too. He didn't find any purpose in his mortal state , dying alone on the staircase with snowfall piercing through his soul , etched with all the real memories he gained.
