Next time to Wally World:
1) propane bug fogger with black flag “juice”
2) get a cheap screen tent - good place for naps
3) your using dewalt cordless- look into a electric chainsaw- great tool!
You are doing a fantastic job! I went thru the same about 40 years ago (putting up a shack etc). Nowadays there are more ways to make it easier. I’m in the process of tearing down what I made back in the day. Time for a new cabin but I’m too old for all the grunt work so we’re going the premade shed route and will trick out the inside. I really enjoy your vids please continue to share your “plight”… lol
In the end you will look back at these memories with pride - I do every time I’m at our property.
You have some RV windows on site. Trace out and cut them into either side of the shed that gets the most breeze to cool that thing down.
That's what I was thinking.
Friendly reminder Arthur..... all these nice people are making helpful comments and you haven't responded or liked or interacted with them on any of your videos. I say this because I want you to grow your channel.
He’s busy honey. Give the man a break. You people are crazy.🤦♀️
Arthur you're doing great. Really enjoying your videos
I respect your attitude for the whole situation
Nice job. You’re really getting things accomplished.
Buy a fogger they work awesome , bug jacket withe hood n screen ! Do it !
Get a long sleeve dirt bike jersey, nylon that can breath. Citronella works in an immediate area.
A good fan helps too.
As far as the carpenter ants, termites, buy a garden sprayer or use a roller and get some Copper Naphthenate or Copper-Green 1 gal. Wood Preservative. apply it and go home for a week or two. The bugs will be boycotting your property for years. Your lumber will outlast the pyramids.
You sir are a beast! Very impressive.
I like the thermacell, only thing is you have to swap out the elements often, every 2 hours or so but it works.
Love your videos, now you got me wanting to build a shed.
Good luck. Keep pressing on. See you on the next one.
You need The Bug Shirt - made in Canada by dudes that have been eaten alive by critters and developed a solution.
First time I saw The Bug Shirt was in The Sylvania Wilderness in the western U.P. - A cabin caretaker told me that you absolutely had to have one to do any outside work in the spring time frame
1.4 k subs, yay Arthur from the Midwest!
Enjoying the experience so far. Spray some permethrin on your clothes and get some good work gloves, maybe coveralls. It all seems like fun and games until you get something like scabies, tetanus or bit by a recluse. Stay strong and stay safe buddy!
Fun video.
The fuel tank on your chainsaw is supposed to hold pressure. Otherwise you could end up having a lean failure, aka a destroyed piston and cylinder. The pressure aids to push the fuel to the carburetor. Higher ambient air temperature will cause the fuel to expand exponentially, increasing the tank pressure. Just agitating the saw will cause the tank to build pressure. Every so often, on hot days, crack open the fuel cap. That should help.
You might find a maul/sledgehammer easier to use than using an axe. Agree with you that those bugs are horrendous. I also agree with the commenter who said to repurpose the RV windows.
putsome vent mesh in the first shead. so you get colder air in
when mozzies are bad i slow burn the cardboard crates that eggs come in. Break off small bits and burn inside a metal tin that you can move around. The Thermacell butane adapter works well also.
Therma Cell. That is the way to go. And worth EVERY PENNY. You need to clip that therma cell on your persons.
Diggin' the multiple vids
Walmart bow hunting mosquito suit. Extremely cheap and will keep you from being overwhelmed.
Not busting your balls but them post will rot out bud. What you should of did was level ground out, gravel, lay 6x6s then build off of them. Just some of advice since I been there and done that. Lesson learned. LOVE THE CONTENT bud. keep the videos coming.
Wear gloves brother and watch out of Black Widows, if you have those where you are
Look up Paul Harvey beg spray. (Stale beer, mouth wash, and Epsom salt). Sprayed around the area your working in using a cheap pump sprayer.
Put one of those windows in your shed
❤😊😊Burn some coffee grounds in a fireplace will clear the air of bugs ❤😊😊
A mosquito fogger works good, a gas powered backpack fogger with bifenthrin eliminates mosquitoes and ticks
Nice chainsaw skills
Use those RV widows. They have screens on them.
You should get some fly traps. That looks bad with the flies
should seal the end going in the ground to make it last longer.
Need a roof vent and or fan on top of your shed
Entertaining, it also makes me want to play with lumber all of a sudden.
fog the area,or do what i do get a big fan and have it blowing ur way
Get an insect fogger....jeez
Why don't you put a window in the shed you could let in fresh air.
Work gloves buddy
If you continue to ignore your viewers, then your viewers will ignore you. Do you even read the comments? My apologies if this sounds harsh.
