Even though I already own a podmic usb I still clicked on this video. And man I don’t regret that, in the first 30 seconds of the video I already wanted to subscribe to you channel haha. Your videos are the perfect mix of entertainment and education. I love the content, keep it up!
Is it just me, or does anyone else see how good this video is produced. The sound design, the voice over, the footage, the helpful breakdown ! Everything about this video is so beautiful done!
You can always offset the cost of a mic by sound preparing your ream, becoming a better editor, or taking time to learn about sound theory. A good audiophile will make any mic sound decently good
@@becomesavvy Yea right out the gate on the usb side straight to the computer cuts out the hiss. Plugged into the RC Duo, you can do slight processing. On the xlr side, it sounds nice without much hiss and with a cloudlifter, it’s a lot. I’m not an audio guy so I’m still learning the noise gate. I did however, for shits and gigs, get a lewitt 440 to see how the condenser mic works. My living room is untreated and I sit about 3 feet from the AC so I’ll let you know
Definitely wish I would’ve known about this mic last year when I bought my Shure Mv88+ lol. I got it bc I could use it with my phone. Wondering now if I should consider this?
The only thing I disagree is on the rodecaster interface you dont need a rodecaster interface and most people if they are doing a multi podcast are using a cheaper interface so the price set up felt more skewed because of it
Even with a Vocaster One, priced at 45-50EUR, the XLR is slightly, slightly cheaper IF you don't include the popfilter. Then if you get the same Rode pop-filter, you are right withing margin of error.
You’re welcome! You can definitely use this with a phone, but I think you have to use RODE’s cables (normal USB-C cables won’t work). The one that comes with the mic is USB-C to USB-C, so it should work with your phone out of the box

Wow, thank you so much! 😄
Great piece! People have been seriously sleeping on the PodMic USB...
I like mine and I have an SM7b and a RE20. The podmic usb is great for online meetings when traveling as I get DSP without the need for an interface.

I actually like the podmic usb in the usb mode more but if it had a gain knob for the Usb mode I would use it for gaming as well
can the maono pd400x can compete with this mic?
I just got the podmic usb and the mic desk stand running it thru the RC Duo. Very good mic
That’s awesome! I’ve been using mine since early this year and I absolutely love it, even running out straight out of USB

Great breakdown!
Thank you!
Why i am not satisfied with this i have this but don't khow how to use 🙃
can i put a usb extension for the usb c so it can connect to my pc ? bc i dont have a usb c port on it
Yep! A USB-C to A converter should definitely work. Or if you have a separate USB-C to USB-A cable, you should be able to use that as well
@@becomesavvy Nice thx dude
Thanks much Bro.
No problem! Thanks for watching :)
The video i wish i watched BEFORE buying the Standard Podmic.
