- The Wake on Virgin Voyages Cruise ships in a beautiful restaurant in the aft area of the ship. You can see the wake of the ship if you are lucky enough to be seated close to one of the large windows in the restaurant.
The Wake is described as " A modern twist to the classic chophouse". We think this is a great choice for a fancy or special occasion mean. It's probably the classiest and most upscale of all the restaurants you'll find on the cruise.

My mouth watered through that whole video haha 😂. All the food looked amazing. Stinks that your steak wasn’t better seasoned. That fish presentation Bob gets is always so amazing! This is a must do for me whenever we sail the Virgin way 😊💕✨
I was being very picky just trying to find something to complain about 🤣 I need to get the dorade sometime, it always looks amazing, but I’m such a steak girl at heart 🥰

It really is a beautiful restaurant. What we love is that none of the restaurants are an up charge. You can order things on the menu that are, but you can still go without having to pay extra

It is! It was a great choice for our first night on the ship 😃
We've done several VV cruises, and have had mixed experiences at The Wake. One time the service was AWFUL--we'd been seated at our specified time for 45 minutes before anyone showed up to take our order! Dinner that night took 2 1/2 hours. We've also had better and not so good steaks. The view is great if you get it! In general, the Crown Grill on Princess has better food and service, although we did once have a bad food night there as well.
I’m so sorry to hear that! I hope that you let someone know you had to wait so long . We’ve been super lucky with all three of our visits to the Wake. Our service started out slow on this last visit but much improved as the night went on. Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us 😊

Thanks for posting! Ugh! My girlfriend and I only have a four day cruise in June and trying to figure out which restaurants we want to go to. We also want to eat in The Galley for dinner at least once. Bob I loved what you had, the Durade and the Lamb Chops. Kelly I love me a good filet, but if it was under seasoned, then perhaps I'd pass. I'm not a big meringue fan, but I do love pistachio. So the Baked Alaska would be my choice. Love your music choice for this video. Thanks for not adding that annoying Trance type Caribbean stuff people always use.
One thing you might want to think about is booking either Gunbae or Test Kitchen early and then have a second late dinner at the galley. (We have been known to grab a burger at midnight) both Gunbae and test kitchen are great but you most likely won’t be so full a couple of hours later that you couldn’t check out the galley too.

We enjoyed The Wake and love the atmosphere. Our favorite dining spots were Pink Agave and Gunbae. Would to hear your thoughts on those two restaurants. Cheers!
We love that that is really something on the ships for everyone to enjoy. Spolier alert - Pink Agave is Bob's absolute favorite :)
