- After reflecting on our first cruise with Virgin Voyages, Connor and I put together a few tips that will help maximize your next Virgin cruise. How is number one not talked about more!!
Also, below is the link to the full face snorkel on Amazon that we swear by:
www.amazon.com...
My wife and I are hopping on a VV cruise Thursday!! It's crazy how nobody has made a video as simple as this, bless you sweet souls for just telling us what we need to know. I can't explain it but this is just the first useful video we've managed to find lol thanks yall
Awe I hope you had the BEST time on your cruise, thank you for the sweet words🤍
How did you guys find your first VV? We're with VV, our first time, in September and we're so looking looking forward to it
I have literally watched tons of videos advising about the charges in the cc, for those saying you had never seen anything before, do your homework. The ice cream parlor only changes one flavor per day, not all the flavors. The free champagne in sail away party is for 30 minutes. Thanks a lot for providing all these tips
I just went on the "Irresistible Med" our of Barca cruise and the sail away party had unlimited sparkling Rose for like 2 hours. Not sure if it's different depending on port?
I was there in July, you can arrive before your boarding time to drop off your luggage and do the prebroading. We then left and, to bayside, showed back up at my boarding time and walked right in.
Awesome, thank you for the insight, our hotel was in bayside that’s why it didn’t cross our minds to go back to bayside.
So good, I will be going on my first Virgin cruise in April of 2025, with a group of almost 30 people. Found this video so helpful for first time sailors. Thank you
My bar tab was combined with my bf because I clicked the “Sailor 1 is footing the bill” option when setting up the room. There was only one card so it was automatically merged
Thank you! We are sure to keep an eye out for our next sailing!
The "foot the bill" option is in the Payments section of the pre-voyage prep.
Thanks for sharing
I was coming here to say this. If you want it all on one bill, have that person 'Foot The Bill' for the others in the booking they want to.
I just got off Valiant Lady on July 14th. So about buying the drinks, when we bought our cruise I got $350 bar credit so did my husband. So no problem buying drinks. While on the cruise we’ve decided to buy a back to back. We added $300 cash to our account for the bar tab. It was added to my husband’s name. So when I went to buy a drink, my name was not there BUT the bartender finds your sail mate and add the drink to his account. Was not a big deal. After that, every time I order drinks, Sailor 1 foots the bill. No need to go to Guest Services. And another thing I loved about VV, you don’t hear announcements. The only time I heard was when they were doing a crew drill and when we were sailing away, we heard the captain speaking. Big difference from other cruise lines. Loved Virgin.
So many differences then other cruise lines! No announcements was such a perk!
Great video, love your energy. You talking in unison gives this video true couples energy
Thank you! After being together for seven years, we’re rubbing off on each other!
I have to say, I've watched a million videos about VV because we'll be going on our first one in a couple of weeks. But this is by far the best and most informative one I've watched. Thanks so much!
This made my whole day! Thank you so much!
So how was it?
@s70driver2005 It was amazing! I'm vegan and I was happy to see all the food choices at all the restaurants. My SO is not vegan and he really enjoyed all the food as well. The activities and entertainment was good. I wish I had more time in the boat to enjoy all the little nooks and crannies for relaxation. But I loved the adult "playground" with pickleball and a seesaw!!! Our favorite restaurants were Extra Virgin and Pink Agave. But Gunbae was a ton of fun with good food as well. It just seemed like a much easier cruise than Royal Caribbean. I didn't feel stressed with the onboarding and off boarding process whether it was at a port or initial embarkation, etc. Staff everywhere were amazing and I definitely enjoyed being with adults only. Don't get me wrong, I love kids, I have 2 myself. But I'm very protective and I get anxiety seeing kids do things that could be unsafe even if it's a stranger's child. So not having to worry about children being safe was so relaxing 😌
2024 Pro-tip out of Miami- u actually can arrive early to the port bc they will check in ypur luggage & then u can hop on their free shuttle to Bayside shop area in Miami which is awesome to kill time. The rest of your tips are EXCELLENT. Best video ive seen for Virgin tips esp getting the required safety video out of the way 1st thing in your cabin. Our fav shows in sept '24 were Miss Behave & Diva Around the World. Fun tip: Pink Agaves steak is a rib eye. Extra Virgin's steak is a NY Strip. The Wake's steaks are a choice be a hangar steak, a NY Strip or a filet mignon. For a lot of extra $, you can get their huge Tomahawk steak option but we loved Extra Virgin's strip steak best just like you two.
Thank you so much, we never even thought of Bayside and our hotel was in Bayside lol. We appreciate your kind words and that’s definitely Connor’s ballpark with all the steaks, he already said we will try the tomahawk next cruise, thank you for the heads up!
In the app, when your second sailor checks in, there is a check box for you to use the primary account holders payment method. When you check in at the port, always make sure all secondary sailor drink will be charged to the credit. They can set that up for you if you did not.
That is great to know for next time, thank you! You would think they would of told us that once we switched the charges🤷🏻♀️
great set of tips which I completely agree with. You did a good job of stating that it was an adult cruise without mentioning it has a 'rock horror show' vibe.
Thank you!
great video! covered a lot of the got to know. That bungee class is hard to snag but key is to show up. lots of times people don't show up and there is availability. This goes for all their on board gym classes
Thank you!! The bungee class is on my list for our next upcoming sailing! I’m making it happen, thank you for the tips!
You two are adorable! We did a Virgin cruise in April. You're correct on all accounts. We booked only 3 weeks before sailing so we were unable to book anything ahead of time. Tip is to book an early embarkation time and run straight to book your dinner reservations. I didn't like the fact that you couldn't reserve the same restaurant twice. Another tip which I didn't realize is room service at breakfast. I found the food hall (great food) very overwhelming with people and this isn't something I enjoy first thing in the am. The beach club gets CROWDED. We arrived later and could not find two chaise next to each other. Jealous you got to do the shark snorkel. The sea conditions were too rough when we arrived.
The restaurants may not let you book 2 dinners. But for example "The Wake" will let you book a brunch and a dinner. "Razzle Dazzle" seemed to have more availability, so you may be able to do 2 dinners there. I hate they no longer allow you to reserve the shows. We went March 2023 and will go again September 2024.
We went on CC November 2023 and they stopped the everyone Muster Drill at 1 time. So much better. I loved the VV method.
Thank you so much for the kind words and amazing comments! Hopefully next time you are able to do the shark snorkel of that’s something on your bucket list, connor still talks about it like we just did it yesterday. We will try room service for breakfast on our next sailing, thank you for the tip!!
Haven't even finished the video yet but so far these are the most useful practical tips thank you !
Thank you so much! We really tried pin pointing what we haven’t seen videos on and wish we knew!
For tip #1, you can also have the primary traveler set up to "foot the bill" of the secondary traveler (on the app). Secondary person will have to sign in and add the primary person as the one who is paying for them and the primary person will have to "accept" to foot the secondary person's bill, but it can be set up this way.
Amazing, thank you for the information!!
Is this something we have to do before we embark?
Hey, great video! I'll be going on my first Virgin voyages cruise at the end of the month. I'm going with a friend and put the $350 bar tab in my account. I was informed by customer service via chat that I can split the bar tab across 2 wrist bands once on board. I hope that's true! 🤞🏼
I agree, Agave was our favorite restaurant and Extra Virgin steak was better then The Wake. We are headed for our second cruise with VV in a few weeks! Love it!
The steak truly caught us off guard, have the best time on your cruise!
Fun tip: Pink Agaves steak is a rib eye. Extra Virgin's steak is a NY Strip. The Wake's steaks are a choice be a hangar steak, a NY Strip or a filet mignon. For extra $, you can get a huge Tomahawk steak.
We went in September too. Loved the experience. *You just need to allow the charging privilege on your card for your other sailor in your party. Our bands charged on 1 account.
Perfect! Thank you so much for the tip!
Going on a VV cruise for my 50th Birthday in March, thanks so much for all the useful information. Much needed.
Very very jealous! Happy early birthday!!
Thanks soooo much for the tips! I’ll be boarding valient lady in august, and even though I’ve watched countless vids about the VV experience, I haven’t come across one like yours. Tips were super helpful!
Thank you so much, have the best time!😊
Hubby and I are pondering a first ever Virgin cruise in the Mediterranean so this was very helpful as we conduct research. You two are adorable to watch and love your playful chemistry. Safe travels on your future trips!
Thank you so much, we appreciate you watching! After reading several comments about a VV Mediterranean cruise we might have to look into one ourselves, hope you both have a great time and safe travels!
We got locked out on our balcony! We were out there when housekeeping came in to clean. He poked his head out to tell us he was finished, then he reflexively LOCKED the door! Thankfully we were in a rock star suite so I messaged our roadie and he got them back to open the door. That was definitely a first for us. And completely agree about the Miami terminal - we got there early - in late May - and had to stand out there even longer due to some issue with the previous cruise that delayed our embarkation.
New fear unlocked: being stuck on the balcony 😂😅
Last week when I was perusing my travel agent's website, I saw a great deal on the Scarlet Lady's TA Barcelona - Miami in October 2025 at a phenomenal price. I rearranged my trip to fly to Asia and then to Barcelona as I had originally planned to do a TP to Singapore on Discovery Princess. Thanks for all the tips, several of them were new to me.
Very informative and providing not typical information given in other videos. I’ve watched a lot of videos and your info was the first I’ve heard. Thanks!
Thank you for watching, we didn’t see these small details on other videos much either 😊
I was on scarlet lady ship 2 weeks ago. Great experience, but yes, there is a lot they don't tell you. There is no more air hockey. And all the board games are missing pieces or the board.
Some of the signs they have on decks by elevator are wrong. Oh and they say the Galley is 24 hours but not true. It becomes for the crew after 1am. They only have omelets and cookies there at that time for you.
That stinks to hear about the games, hopefully they stay more on top of it so others can enjoy. You’re correct about the Galley not everything is available 24 hours, thank you for the comment!
Thank you for your VV videos. They were very helpful and informative! My wife and I had a blast and were able to navigate successfully thanks to your tips and tricks.
That’s awesome!! I’m so happy you guys had a successful cruise!
Thank you for these tips. I am a travel agent and I'm familiar with all of this. I do tell my clients all these details, and they appreciate it. I have learned these things from trainings and communications with VV. But, it's great that you are making this video and help those who are not using a knowledgeable travel agent.
Thank you! There are so many little tips that can really help maximize a vacation with Virgin Voyages!
I just completed my first Virgin cruise in the Med, and your tips are 100% perfect. The Virgin App was so wonky and busted, and make sure to BOOK your dinners since you'll be stuck on the ship and the free food offerings leave a lot to be desired. My girlfriend almost lost her mind the day at sea lol.
Thank you for watching, I’m sure the Mediterranean was beautiful, very jealous! Hopefully as time goes on they improve their ease of access including their app.
Just found your video and channel. Thanks for the great tips! We’re sailing in December. It’ll be our first VV. We’ve cruised Cunard (way too formal) and Norwegian. Looking forward to the Virgin difference.
Thanks for watching! There’s such a difference with Virgin, it’s definitely in its own category!
Love this video and you two are adorable!! Thanks for such a comprehensive list of tips. My guy and I are headed on the VV cruise to Croatia, Montenegro, and Greece leaving Athens in May 2025. We will take advantage of all your tips. Thx again.
Very very jealous of that itinerary, we really need to check out a mediterranean virgin cruise, thank you for watching and safe travels! Hope you have a great time!!
Going on a Virgin cruise in March and found this very helpful, especially the part about the free Champagne. Thanks a bunch.
Thanks for watching! Have the best time cruising!!
Love the 80's 90's vibe and late nights cruising soon on scarlet last having cruised with multiple other lines. Thanks guys.
It’s such a fun vibe!
We are going on the Resilient Lady out of Miami next week....out of nowhere we found out last night we were upgraded to MegaRockstar....front row for Scarlet Night on Pool deck....lol
Holy jealous! What a fun surprise, take it all in!
I love VV! I have done 2 this year and am doing another next year. I do wish they would allow you to split the bar tab between the 2 sailors. I did one with my sister and she was the primary sailor. We had to keep checking our expenses to make sure I didn’t go over because her CC would have been charged.
I agree, it is a bit of a pain, I’m sure there is a way to do it. Very jealous you did two in on year, 2025 can’t come fast enough for our second one!
Hello, We just watched your video on our T.V. We are new content creators and have only been around a few days over 2 months. Your content was very interesting and reminded us of our 1st Virgin Voyages Experience. On Scarlet Night I wore Octopus fingers, it was soo much fun! The hubby subscribed from the T.V. and I from here, so you have 2 new subscribers in us.
I’m so happy you had a similar experience on Virgin Voyages! I’m ready to go all out again for scarlet night now that I know what to expect for our next sailing. Thank you for the subscriptions!! ☺️
@@elizabethconnnor Coming up today we have a tour of the outside of the ship, the track, pool etc. On Saturday we will show some good times on board. Thanks for Subscribing to the channel. We appreciate it very much.
@@TravelCakeTrips that’s amazing! Have the best time!! I’ll keep an eye out for your video!
VV is a great cruise my first time and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I agree Pink Agave is the best restaurant! The steak was amazing and we was encouraged to order everything as well!
We enjoyed it too! The steak is a must for our next sailing!
Great overview - have just found your channel - great to find fellow young cruisers! I'm sure you'll help so many people with this one!
Thank you so much! Us young cruisers need to stick together, best kind of vacation!
Loved your very detailed review!! Thank you!
Thanks for the tips, going on our first vv cruise in 4 weeks time can’t wait. We have booked Extra Virgin for our first night !
Ahh I’m so excited for you!! I wish our next cruise was in a month, have the best time!
I wish I was still young like you guys. You're a lovely couple and you seem to really enjoy yourselves, which is awesome. The Virgin sounds like parties will be at a pace I can't keep up with, so I don't know if this cruise suits me. But I loved hearing your tips and experiences. I've never been on a cruise, but have one booked for 2 months from now on the Celebrity Eclipse. It's likely to be an older crowd than what you had on your ship. In any event, I enjoyed your video!
I appreciate the kind words, thank you! Virgin can be for all ages don’t feel discouraged, but have the best time on Celebrity! Very jealous!
Great video! After watching it, I'm no longer interested in considering a Virgin cruise. Seems too much like a party cruise.
Thank you for this informative video.
Wow, very informative. I haven’t book a Virgin cruise yet, but just researching and thank you for the tips. So far many people have said Virgin Voyages cruises have good food. We always complain about the food from previous cruise lines so looking forward to try Virgin. Enjoy your next cruise.🎉
we totally agree, Virgin Voyages and Disney are our favorites when it comes to food quality on a cruise, others have been hit or miss for us. Hopefully you book that Virgin cruise soon 😊
This was very informative and a fun video...y'all look like a fun couple 😊
Thank you! We're glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for the information. We are sailing in two weeks so excited. First time on VV
Ahhh countdown begins!!
I agree with a lot of comments here. Very useful tips especially the #1. We were wondering about that. We are going to buy extra Bar Tab to take advantage of the extra $$ Virgin adding. But will do that on my husband account because I'm the primary Sailor in the booking and already have those extra Sailor Loot. Thanks again.
So happy we could help! Have the best time during your sailing!
We are going in October! So excited, thanks for the tips!
So exciting, have the best time!!
I'm going October 2!
Thank you for the tips! I didn’t know about the credit only being on one person‘s name.
That’s what we noticed when sailing, thankfully we have a great community of people commenting explaining that this isn’t the only way to go about the drinks, apparently you can distribute the credit. For our next sailing we’re going to keep an eye out for it!
Outside of just going to the bar, are there any activities designed for couples/socializing? I think we will do a few of the shore excursions and that may naturally come about. Any recs on these islands - St Maarten, Barbados, St Lucia, Martinique, St. Kitts. We are taking off out of San Juan Dec. 21st!
I apologize the holidays got in the way of me answering a few comments! I hope you had the BEST trip!!! I’ve only been to St.Maarten out of your itinerary, but if you have any recommendations from your visit I am all ears!!
@tbratton1 I am taking this cruise in a few weeks - any tips?
Connor, you are a good guy, you buy the drinks for her for the whole cruise 😊😊😊😊 And thanks for the tip “wear RED” (most of the cruise has “white night”).
I appreciate the kind words, thank you! Made me smile lol glad the video helped!
Enjoy and be safe!
-Connor
Tell me more about the invitation only for Scarlet Night. Never heard of that before. Thanks!!!
Definitely not an expert in it since we weren’t invited yet. But if you roam around the ship and make sure you are friendly with the “happenings crew” you can get invited to these secret parties or other secret games. You aren’t allowed to record them if you get invited. It truly is by chance getting asked and right time right place kind of thing. Just make sure you are out and about during Scarlet Night!
You can link other sailors to your bar tab. The one person will have the info about running total, but what you said does not have to happen!
I have had NO trouble with embarkation. Never had lines outside the terminal.
Sail away party and safety video are fun!
Their safety drill is so easy too!
Thanks for the extra info, we appreciate it!
Thanks for your video, next inter ww will going on the scarlet lady from Miami for our first cruise ever, so your video will really help us to have a great trip. Thanks!
Thank you for watching! Have the best time on your first cruise, how exciting!!
Thank you for this information. It will help me sell these to clients. I have not been on Virgin Voyages
Glad we could help!!
Thank you for this! We go on our first Virgin cruise soon!
So exciting!!!
September will be our 3rd cruise with Virgin, and tip number 1 never occurred to me! THANKS!!!
Have fun on your 3rd cruise, we just booked our second! Enjoy next month, safe travels!!!
Great information - Thank you!
Thank you for watching!
Awesome video with tips I haven't heard! Thanks so much!
Happy you found something new! Thanks for watching!
Thank you all for this video it was entertaining can't wait for my cruise
You’re going to have so much fun!
Where did you get your scarlet night dress?! 😍. In love. Cruising over new years and that looks perfect.
Thank you!! I was trying to go through my email and find the store. It is either from Hello Molly or Petal and Pup, it’s an extremely comfortable dress to wear all night!
It you click the little button on the app that says you are responsible for all charges for both people in your cabin, either wearable can be used for all charging.....simple. Since boarding on VV doesn't start until 1:30, you would definitely be waiting if you showed up before 12. VV recommends that you show up 30 minutes prior to your assigned terminal arrival time. Note, it is NOT a boarding time, it is arrival time. You can book dinner reservations 45 days before cruising, but 35% of reservations are held back till after boarding. And yes, The Wake does not have the best steaks! There is no "early" or "late" dinner--dinner is whenever you made your reservation. On our 14 and 15 night cruises, there were activities all day every day.... Did you watch any good videos (like Where's Walter Travels) before cruising? The best videos contain all this info and far more. It is a ship. For scarlet night, you can wear as little as a red headband or handkerchief or go all out in a red tux or ball gown.....none will be out of place.
Appreciate the insight, thank you!! We researched and watched videos before cruising but we aren’t experts, this was just things we noticed on our sailing that we wish we knew since that was our first time sailing. We’re excited for our next cruise!😊
BEST TIP! USE A TRAVEL AGENT & get extras for no additional fee. book excursions before you go through your travel agent. if you need help, my wife can help you with travel planning
Hi guys, great vlog!
We have a first VV this September.
Im not 100% sure of this so my question is, what is the best time to book dinner so we can also enjoy the shows?
Thanks guys
Thank you for watching! You really can’t go wrong with any time frame for dinner since there are shows playing all throughout your sailing, we had our dinners around 5:30/6 each night and had plenty of opportunities to attend the shows and activities, have the best time!
Hi Elizabeth! I loved your honest VV review. I’m thinking of taking one - my first cruise ever!- your tips are great. How does the alcohol drinks work. Do you buy a drink package? Are they charged separately? I have heard the app that you use ito book reservations and excursions is not great is that the only way to book? All y’all’s tips are great! Anything else for a newbie to know? Thank you so much!!
Im so happy you enjoyed it! For your first cruise this will definitely set the benchmark high. As far as alcoholic drinks we had a “bar tab” when we booked our sailing. We bought drinks as we went but it came out of the bar tab. For reservations and excursions you can book through the app or you can go to guests services and they can help book them for you. As a first timer, don’t push yourself to see/do everything during your first sailing, don’t overwhelm yourself.
You guys are adorable; thank you for the post!
Thank you and thank you for watching!
We had the same problem with the bar tab also. I was buying my friend all the drinks.
According to some comments we are getting there is a way to change that in the app, for our next cruise we are going to try and fix that!
Very informative video, thanks for sharing your tips.
Thank you for watching!!
Great tips thank you. Can you guesstimate if there were a fair amount of solo travelers or nearly all couples?
There was a healthy amount of both, connor was a social butterfly talking to a wide range of travelers!
Thank you! Loved all the info you shared in your videos. I'm planning my 1st Virgin Voyager cruise soon. I know you said you didnt get to make, nor did you sign up, for the bungee workout class cause you had the swimming with the sharks. But have u heard if you sign up for a fitness class and dont show up that you will be charged $10? I heard that in another vlog for virgin cruises. Thank you again!
We unfortunately didn’t sign up for any scheduled workout classes, so I’m not too sure but I would hope there wouldn’t be too much of a penalty for missing a sign up since it’s free classes
As a champagne lover, I can't wait for the sailaway party!
It really was so much fun!
@@elizabethconnnor By the way, I forgot to say that I really really really loved 🥰 this video, you and your husband do a super job and it was so entertaining and informative. Thank you so much! ❤
It's Moët too!
My voyage is is 44 more days and I cant wait! Im so looking forward to the battle of the steaks. I was so excited about The wake but so many ppl are saying the steak at other restaurants was better. These were some good tips! Thanks
Battle of the Steaks!! The Wake was still very good and a must try, but it’s crazy how the other restaurants just topped it, I am curious to hear your final opinion after your sailing!
The Wake does an excellent brunch! I've heard many others say the dinner leaves a bit to be desired, but i absolutely loved the brunch, it was my second fave restaurant after Extra Virgin
Totally agree about the steak! It's awesome in the steak house, and was surprised one of my crew ordered steak in the Italian restaurant, but damn, it was delicious!! Personal taste - the homemade pasta, not so much.
Ahh I love that you’re Team Extra Virgin steak too!! I wasn’t crazy over my pasta dish either.
Great tips!!
We’re sailing on Valiant Lady on July 19th…. 5 nights from Miami.
Tonight at 12:00am is the 45 day start to book dining and events. My plan is to start booking at 12:01😀
Any tips for a good time window to book dinner in order to see shows?
When do you connect to the ships WiFi?
Do they give you the password when you check in?
We booked the splash of romance package and have priority boarding, so we plan to get there early.
Thanks for your reply.
How exciting, your cruise is right around the corner!!
Thank you, totally not an expert over here but we booked our dinner around 5:30/6 and was able to attend a lot of shows and events, it’s not like most cruises where it’s two times at night back to back, they are sporadic.
You connect to the WiFi once you board, the option isnt given until you step foot on the ship. I’m going back and forth with myself on remembering if there was a password, I believe there was a quick keyword you needed to type in and the PW was on a pamphlet in your cabin, but don’t quote me lol.
Have the best time, very jealous!!! Enjoy scarlet night!!
We’ll be on that cruise as well!
Helpful tips, thank you!!
Thank you for watching!
The best steak was at Blue Agave!!! You MUST try it!
That was such a close second for us, especially with the cheese melted on top!
Which cruise to go? First time for VV, taking my mother for the first time.
We did the Scarlet Lady out of Miami and our itinerary was Bimini, Bahamas (their private beach club is there) and Cozumel, Mexico. We loved it! I don’t think you could go wrong with any of the VV ships, they have very similar layouts. Have the best time with your mom!
Great info about the 300 credit the snorkeling the booking everything are any of the resturants extra pay or is everything included
Thank you for watching, all the restaurants are included there are a few items on the menu that are extra charge but it’s mainly only one or two items
Thank you for this! We leave in 25 days and this was so informative. Question - scarlet night dance party is my nightmare. What other scarlet night activities do people recommend?
Down on the lower decks in the atrium area, they perform acrobatics and live music, much less chill than the dance party on the top pool deck.
No worries, there are different vibes for different crowds through the ship. What we saw was karaoke, acrobatics, live music, and dance/ pool party, there was so much more im sure we missed, just keep your eyes open! Have the best time!
Balcony and Air conditioning Question. My husband enjoys an afternoon nap and I usually hang out on the balcony. Are you saying he would be without air conditioning ? That would infuriate him….
Thx for all the great info.
We went 2 wks ago. You have to shut and lock balcony door then it won’t affect inside ac
Once the door is shut and locked the A/C is back on, I promise it’s not as bad as it may seem!
Ok thanks, guess I have to be locked out on the balcony or he would have to forgo air conditioning during a nap in the stateroom.
Full face snorkel hurts my tmj jaw terribly I always bring my own
Thanks for the tips, guys.
Thank you for watching!
Do you remember (or are you given at some point) the start times for the sail away and the scarlet night parties??
I don’t remember off the top of my head the times, but I do remember that times are posted in the app and around the ship such as the tv’s in the elevator.
Thank you so much, we go next month 🥳
Ahh countdown begins!!😊
Awesome!! TY!! I just added a $500 bar tab for myself and for my husband and I think I did them separately so I should be OK. Right?
Yes you should be perfectly fine! Have the best time!!
Great VV sailor tips, thank you guys!
Thank you for watching!
My wife and I have been on a couple of the VV cruises so far and the second one we took at the end of November last year. We had a bar credit for that cruise and had no problem with the bar tab credits. When she ordered drinks it automatically came off my tab. Maybe they fixed it from September to November when we went. Maybe because I had it set up that I was fronting any bills she would ring up.
That’s great it worked perfectly for you! I do wish they gave us an explanation when they switched over our charges so we know for our next cruise, but in the comments I am getting some answers which is great!
Tip #2: we always get the Splash of Romance, so we can board prior! 😊
Yes, our friends who joined us did the Splash of Romance, however we were too late, hopefully we get it for our next sailing!
Extra Virgin was our least favorite restaurant in the ship, we were really disappointed but we didn’t get the steak.
Love this video! Thank you both!
Thank you for watching 😊
The Ribeye at the Pink Agava was our favorite steak 🥩! The Wake steak was ok but the steaks in the other restaurants were just as good if not better! Didn’t care for the Korean barbecue restaurant. Jus saying. 😊
Happy you were able to try the different steaks!
Do they provide hair dryers in the cabin? Do you need to bring a converter for your items to charge? Are there enough charging ports in the cabin nor should you bring a multiple charger port plug?
Our room did have a hair dryer, however I did choose to bring my own and our cabin had plenty of ports to charge all of our items😊
So informative, thank you. My husband and I are trying to book our first adult only cruise. Which cruise line do you prefer? TIA
Thank you! Virgin Voyages is a one of a kind for adults only cruising, that’s is defintley the way to go in my opinion! Have the best time!
Hi guys, What an awesome informative video! We are totally looking forward to booking on VV now 😃 Question: did you score the $300 onboard beverage credit under some type of special promotion? We are trying to figure out if we should book through a travel agent or directly through VV. Thanks so much!
Thank you for watching! There was a promotion through VV and that’s how we received the bar tab. They promote the bar tab allowance very often, I don’t think you can steer wrong either booking yourself or through an agency. Regardless you should still receive the bar tab
@@elizabethconnnorawesome! Thanks so much - Happy Cruising! 🥂
Thank you for your informative video!! One quick question, while meals are included while on the cruise, do you tip your server? How does that work? Thank you!
All tips are included so no need to tip unless someone really impresses you.
Tips are included with the price of your cruise!
U said as soon as u get on book ur shows spas etc where do u do that at? On the tablet in ur room, is there an app that u have to download to ur phone, or do u have to go to a particular place on the ship to book?
Thank you so much for this video enlightenment
If you download the Virgin Voyages app on your phone you can navigate the different activities and bookings, you can also go to guest services on board the ship and they can help book for you! Have the best time!!
Wondering if you can provide me some help/insight on what one can do at night if they aren’t a partier/drinker? Are there places other than you room to enjoy and appreciate quieter environments?
I’m not sure the hours of the spa but that could be something relaxing for peace and quiet, but try that at some point of your trip. At least on the scarlet lady by the pizzeria the outdoor portion was generally quiet and more of a chill vibe at night. There’s also karaoke and other group games that don’t involve alcohol to participate in but check your app throughout the trip incase they change.
@@elizabethconnnor We considered the spa but it was way overpriced. Also when I did drink i found out that all bars don't carry the same beer, so needless to say an area that I might have enjoyed I couldn't because they didn't have the beer I liked. Overall I wasn't really impressed with this cruise line. Food was sub par, parties were so overcrowded and was difficult to get a drink. I think if i cruise again it wouldn't be with this line. Thanks for your reply.
Awe I’m sorry to hear it didn’t meet your expectations! There are so many different cruise lines to try like Royal Caribbean, MSC, Disney, Norwegian, Carnival you will find your perfect fit! ☺️
I've never been on a cruise but it seems like every 3 years or so I research them. I'd be traveling alone. Here's the deal tho. I'm fairly shy. I'm not really a people person and I don't like crowds. I don't know why I'd even consider a cruise but I do lol. I'd be open to other cruise lines also, not just Virgin. Any suggestions for someone like me. Oh yeah, I'd most likely be leaving from Florida. Great video btw. Thanks
Happy you enjoyed the video! A cruise can definitely feel crowded at some points depending on the occasion. Connor doesn’t like crowds either but was able to find quiet moments throughout our sailing. Besides Virgin, we both would recommend Disney because of their adult sections you get some peace and quiet!
Enjoyed watching you guys!
What is the average age for Virgin? My friends and I are 54, 59 and 63 respectively. Any others on board around this age? Doesn’t look like it from the videos and photos. Thanks!
Yes! We saw a wide variety of age groups while sailing, it’s not focused on one. Still highly recommend going!
Sailor Services can link your bands so you both have access to the perks
That is great to know! Thank you!
Royal had freezer/reheated pancakes 😢 does Virgin have fresh pancakes?
We weren’t lucky enough to be able to try then since they were certain times in the morning. But their food on board always seemed fresh to us
