My experience on the VV was good, but I dont think I would use that cruise line again because it is, in my opinion, a party ship. There's not much to do during sea days, but I will say, I lovef the Galley food, the track/gym and the ship as a whole! Oh, I loved, loved Bimini Beach!
We are the same age and I was on Valiant Lady on Valentines week. I was not happy with the seating outdoors, the pool, and some of the music. I loved the food - I tried all the restaurants. . I loved the gym and the spa. I loved the shower - not the body wash or shampoo. My cruise had 6 days of ports and 1 sea day so I did not have alot of time for just pool days. The bar tab is a great Idea! I am not a heavy drinker so Its a waste of money for me to get a drink package. The internet was great. I really enjoyed the scarlet night and the pajama party. I will try it again with a best buddy and go to Key west and Bimini.
Sheri! You are correct about the lighting around the vanity mirror. There is no light and it makes it difficult to do make-up. I purchased a travel lighted mirror for my 2nd Virgin cruise. I was supposed to be on your cruise but couldn't go. Glad you had fun.
My cruise buddy and I are 60. We love VV! Never felt out of place or too old for what was going on. We were long time Carnival sailors but now we only sail VV!
Fun fact: those giant wall decor thingies at 21:19 with all the flags are actually codes that when solved are different naval themed quotes. I like try to solve them before my elevator arrives
Hey Sheri, watched a bunch of your videos when my wife and I were sailing on Princess. We switched to Virgin last year so it's good to see you gave them a try as well. I agree with most of your takes but I do enjoy the raunchy humor on Virgin Voyages so it's an awesome fit for my wife and I.
Thank you for this very informative video!! For a first time cruiser in my mid 40's, I wasn't sure about Virgin! But, I am definitely putting this on my list!
Thanks for the terrific video and all the information! After over 20 cruises going on first Virgin cruise at the end of January! Looking forward to it!
How comfortable were those chairs on your balcony? The hammock looks great, but those chairs look like they would give you waffle butt. Do you know why there is no drink package? Thanks for the review and great tips Sheri.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I remain on the fence about the Virgin experience. I still remain unconvinced that there's enough about VV that's NEW or EXCITING enough for me that's worth paying extra for. Perhaps they'll snag a contract with one of the charter cruises that I'm interested in.
I'm willing to travel on Virgin. I strongly considered going on them for the August 2026 eclipse sailing, but as their sailings weren't available when I was looking to book, I instead opted to travel on Sun Princess. If I had booked a month later, I might have taken the plunge, but I stopped looking for summer 2026 when I saw the solar eclipse sailings. I've been on a few eclipse cruises before (plus been under totality on land), and knew that was what I wanted. One thing not mentioned was loyalty match and how it worked in practice. Back in January when I was on Royal Princess, I had a table mate that didn't know Virgin did that with Princess (after I mentioned it, he looked it up on the spot, and I almost think he booked before the cruise was over given his excitement). I"m somewhat winding down from Royal Caribbean being my line of choice; I may have two booked with them, but one is a group cruise and the other was a 12 night one paid for with points from their branded credit card (years of point accumulation). Being denied a speciality dining experience on the line because I'm a solo passenger was another nail. I'm liking Princess for destination cruises, with Disney for trips where the ship is the primary focus. My guess is that Virgin would be a ship as focus cruise experience, simply because they don't have many ships (like Disney) and would focus on popular destinations.
I had heard there were adult toys in the rooms too, but there weren't on my cruise. I didn't see the adult toy shop, but maybe missed it? Maybe they had some of those items and I didn't see them?
@@CruiseTipsTV I saw a video that was from a former VV crew member. She got on VV ship as a guest and mentioned that VV did the things Fred had mentioned in the beginning, but they decided to remove them because a sex ship does not sound well nor positive for the brand, though the idea was they wanted to point out the ADULT flavor.
We did not enjoy Valiant Lady or Virgin. We're a same sex female couple late 50's. We've only sailed Celebrity and Oceania before and those ships had excellent food. I didn't enjoy the food on VV. The service was lacking too. The restaurants might be included, but we could NOT get a reservation at The Wake( for dinner). I didn't care for Razzle Dazzle. Also, I know of 2 people who were arrested and taken off the ship. There is one video making its way around the net regarding the woman who sprayed bathroom cleaner in a crew members eyes. A passenger next to our room allegedly hit is wife and was arrested in key west.
The best thing about virgin voyages is the absence of kids and low class people that are often encountered on other cruises. I hated my cruise experience on RC, celebrity, and carnival. So low class, rowdy drunk losers and bratty kids with bare hands in the buffet. VV is the best.
Awesome video , honest and helpful. Also loved the format and snappy graphics!

Thank you Cheri. I can’t wait to cruise with Virgin Voyages. I have been trying to convince my hubby ❤

No way! That's so cool!

Thanks for this review. I’m 57 and was wondering if I’d fit into the VV way. I may try it next year.

Children free.... I'm OH SO READY!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I’m 63 and I went with my brother in law who is 55. It was great!!!!
Hi Sheri. All I'm wondering is if Mr. CruiseTipsTV will feel as if he's too old, find the Virgin experience too overwhelming.
Maybe in a few more years.. Virgin Voyages will be calling my name 🤙 (meaning, the kids will be ‘grown’) 😅
Hope to do this cruise soon! Will be 67 in February
You'll have a blast!
I have heard that there is a "adult toy shop" on the ship, and condoms in the cabins. Is that true?
I had heard there were adult toys in the rooms too, but there weren't on my cruise. I didn't see the adult toy shop, but maybe missed it? Maybe they had some of those items and I didn't see them?
@@CruiseTipsTV The toy store was originally on the ships but is no longer there.
