This video is amazing and THANK YOU! I opened my box of replacement parts and was a bit bummed out that there were no instructions, but this was the first video that came up in a search and the host made it easy to see so I could make this repair myself. Yeah, this did it for me too. My unit is a KitchenAid and KitchenAid sent me the Whirlpool part so I guess they are the same company. Great video and instructions! I recommend putting the adjuster button into its housing BEFORE connecting the housing to the metal piece so you don't have to pull it back from the rack to insert it afterwards. Other than that, Steve made this job super easy! Thank you! Whirlpool/KitchenAid should have paid Steve to do the video and included the URL in its parts packaging.

Thank you so much for this clear explanation and demonstration on how to install the new rack adjusters! Only complaint is you skipped over some of the hardest part, removing the old stuff! Luckily, I'd stumbled onto another video where the guy showed how to do that without completely busting up everything. ;) But I didn't have the exact replacement part so I didn't actually need to reuse anything, but it was nice to sort of get the feel of how the assembly worked by taking it apart step by step, before launching into the different design. Thanks again for an excellent instructional video!

Very useful video. Two important points. “Fourth slot in” when positioning the adjusters is FROM THE BACK. But sooo easy to follow!! Thanks.

Nice video, which I first used 3 years ago when I installed these rack parts in my old 2015 Kenmore Dishwasher, made by Whirlpool. I replaced that Kenmore dishwasher last year when I bought a new Whirlpool. I removed and saved these parts when I disposed of the Kenmore after I noticed that Whirlpool was still using these same style flimsy plastic parts. After only one year the new Whirlpool plastic wheels broke off and I just installed the 3 year old replacement parts in the Whirlpool. It appears that Whirlpool, rather than improve their hardware, has made it worse. The Kenmore at least lasted 5 years before I had to replace these parts

Thank you so much!! This was much easier than included black & white paper instruction that looked like a copy of a copy from the 80's (from another vender. I'll check Partselect.com next time!) As for people asking about removal; use a flat head screwdriver (or 2), push the plastic tabs in and pop or break it off. The original plastic "hardware" is total junk and no reason to keep it or worry about breaking it when removing.

This video was GREAT! Steve was nice and slow and elaborate. He even struggled a little which put me at ease. The videography was very good too!

Followed the instructions and the replacement rack adjuster kit worked like a charm. I believe!

Fantastic instructions! Removal isn't that difficult, you pretty much go at any tabs on the old part with a screwdriver and it comes off quickly.

Thank you. When that box of parts with no instructions showed up I was lost. Saved the day!!

Thank you! An axle broke on ours and I’m hoping the new metal adjusters last longer. Looks like the wheel axles are still plastic.

Great job on this video. It was extremely helpful, and it made what could have been an impossible job, VERY easy. No directions came with the parts kit, so this video was invaluable,

I hope Whirlpool is paying you some sort of commissions because this was such an amazing, easy to follow video. Thank you so much!

Steve, rthank you so much for this video. I am a decent tinkerer but the included factory instructions were horrible. The pictures were dark, not very sharp and assumed the installer knew what each part was called although nowhere do the names , except the "screws" ever get liked to the part. So I went where I should have went first, RUclips. The first listed video I watched and it was good but the adjuster kit was a bit different than mine. I then went to yours and was happy to see your kit was identical to mine. After 20 minutes of accomplishing nothing but getting PO'ed, I watched yours and it took me less than 10 minutes for the first side and about 7 for the second. The only suggestion I could make is to show how to remove the original part as they are entirely different. I spent 20 minutes removing one side of the old mechanism before realizing none of thoise parts were to be reused and "carefully" and "gently" removing the old parts was not necessary. Again, thanks!
