This was honestly such a fantastic video. Our top wheel broke 6 months ago same exact problem and I purchased the exact same plastic part to replace. It didn’t even last 6 months and broke AGAIN. So when I watched this video, I ordered the new steel replacement parts. My whirlpool dishwasher was just over a year old and it cleans the dishes well but what a terrible cheap plastic part. Fingers crossed that this steel one will hold up better. Didn’t even read the paper instructions, I just followed the video. Thank you so much for your help. You saved me a lot of money.😊

Thanks for a most helpful video. The job is not exactly intuitive and most folks would not grasp that the metal part hat be woven into the basket and the plastic parts then attached. The tabs on the plastic parts are a one time snap together and do tolerate being taken apart well so it needs to be right the first time. You saved so much trial and error.

In June 2022 I had to replace the right side. I wasn't smart enough to just do the left one at the same time, and Christmas 2023 it broke too. But I was smart enough to save the link to this video! Please know that the tall center adjuster part of the wheel base needs to fit into the FIFTH rack space from the back, not the fourth as stated-- I couln't close my washer. I agree with the previous user’s comments. I really liked that you had to remove the plastic parts like I had on my dishwasher. It was so helpful. I had watched the directions provided by a replacements parts company. Their directions did not have the level of detail that yours did. You made this job doable for me. My kit didn’t come with Star torque wrench T15. I had one in my tool kit luckily. Thank you for the music that kept my blood pressure down and for taking the time to do this for everyone.
Thank you for this. I just followed your instructions and completed the job! My advice. Watch the whole video and then use the video as you do the job. What's missing from the video? Taking the rack out and that process...which is easy but requires you to remove two tabs. The other thing...make sure you are installing these new parts on the right side of the rack. Look closely and you'll see the water connection that faces back of compartment. Thank you again!

Thanks so much. Great video. Couple of thing for others doing this job. (1) My set of amazon did not have the driver that could be used with a Phillips and it the screws in mine were T20. (2) Mine did not snap where he clipped his finger, but it was secure. The video here is clear on how you can make sure it's secure. Once again, thank you!! This video turned 30-40 minutes of deciphering the inscrutable directions that came with it into 15 minutes. Appreciate your detailed approach.

Nice video which I first used 3 years ago when I installed these rack parts in my old 2015 Kenmore Dishwasher, made by Whirlpool. I replaced that Kenmore dishwasher last year when I bought a new Whirlpool. I removed and saved these parts when I disposed of the Kenmore when I noticed that Whirlpool was still using these same style flimsy plastic parts. After only one year the new Whirlpool plastic wheels broke off and I just installed the 3 year old replacement parts in the Whirlpool. It appears that Whirlpool, rather than improve their hardware, has made it worse. The Kenmore at least lasted 5 years before I had to replace these parts

Great job. I used your video and was successful. The new kit from Amazon ($30) in Apr. "23) is slightly different, but, it is so similar it is nothing to worry about. There are a few tabs that need to break off to get the old rack support out. I would suggest a mention or video of how to get the rail stops off to take the rack out of the washer. Without this video it would have been impossible. Took me an hour and 15 minutes.

Thank you for the video with detailed steps. Extremely helpful. There part that I ordered from Amazon now is around $32 and the my Phillips screwdriver worked without any adaptor. Please be careful with the end pieces of the rail when removing the upper tray(I broke one of them while getting the tray out) I need to see if I can get the end cap) The product doesn’t come with end pieces or caps once you install the dishwasher tray back.
Great job with this video. The parts came with zero instructions. I had no idea how it was supposed to go together, since it is a total redesign of the original parts. The instructions were great and SO much better than the kit manufacturer's instruction sheet which was horrible. The only issue I have is that the height adjustment doesn't work at all and I'm stuck on the lowest height. Not sure if there was a step I missed when I insert the lever piece or if possibly the kit I got on Amazon just isn't as good as the one you installed. But at least the rack isn't about to fall off! Thanks for taking the time to do this.
Great video. This is my second whirlpool dishwasher that has done this, same part issue with the wheel housing breaking and same replacement. It is only two years old, whirlpool shouldn’t be selling new dishwashers with this known problem for years!.
GREAT video...! I received my kit directly from Whirlpool under warranty. It came in about 10 days with no instructions. So your video was key. Myself and my two young helpers (6 & 4) were very excited to get started. We took both sides apart and when it came to securing the cover... we THEN realized they were not included! Of course, we did this on a Saturday... meaning there is no one to call until Monday. Frustration level is definitely elevated. Nonetheless, I installed it without the cover and will run it, as per usual until the cover comes and then install it. Thanks again for your video!

Spot on! I didn't notice that the TOP tabs of the "don't fall out" clips go outside, so mine was binding at first. But this was amazing!

I removed and saved these parts when I disposed of the Kenmore when I noticed that Whirlpool was still using these same style flimsy plastic parts. After only one year the new Whirlpool plastic wheels broke off and I just installed the 3 year old replacement parts in the Whirlpool. It appears that Whirlpool, rather than improve their hardware, has made it worse. The Kenmore at least lasted 5 years before I had to replace these parts

[My opinion but sharing anyway. It is that all original Whirlpool dishwasher purchasers should receive this replacement kit free of charge, as the need for it is an acknowledged Whirlpool design flaw. Making a purchaser pay a 3rd party $45 to $55 is NOT adequate customer support.]

Great job. I used your video and was successful. The new kit from Amazon ($30) in Apr. "23) is slightly different, but, it is so similar it is nothing to worry about. There are a few tabs that need to break off to get the old rack support out. I would suggest a mention or video of how to get the rail stops off to take the rack out of the washer. Without this video it would have been impossible. Took me an hour and 15 minutes.

Thank you for the video with detailed steps. Extremely helpful. There part that I ordered from Amazon now is around $32 and the my Phillips screwdriver worked without any adaptor. Please be careful with the end pieces of the rail when removing the upper tray(I broke one of them while getting the tray out) I need to see if I can get the end cap) The product doesn’t come with end pieces or caps once you install the dishwasher tray back.
Great job with this video. The parts came with zero instructions. I had no idea how it was supposed to go together, since it is a total redesign of the original parts. I had assumed they'd sent me the wrong kit. I watched this video once and that's all it took for me to see how to fix my dishwasher. You saved the day for me, Gizmo.

The instructions were great and SO much better than the kit manufacturer's instruction sheet which was horrible. The only issue I have is that the height adjustment doesn't work at all and I'm stuck on the lowest height. Not sure if there was a step I missed when I insert the lever piece or if possibly the kit I got on Amazon just isn't as good as the one you installed. But at least the rack isn't about to fall off! Thanks for taking the time to do this.
Great video. This is my second whirlpool dishwasher that has done this, same part issue with the wheel housing breaking and same replacement. It is only two years old, whirlpool shouldn’t be selling new dishwashers with this known problem for years!.

GREAT video...! I received my kit directly from Whirlpool under warranty. It came in about 10 days with no instructions. So your video was key. Myself and my two young helpers (6 & 4) were very excited to get started. We took both sides apart and when it came to securing the cover... we THEN realized they were not included! Of course, we did this on a Saturday... meaning there is no one to call until Monday. Frustration level is definitely elevated. Nonetheless, I installed it without the cover and will run it, as per usual until the cover comes and then install it. Thanks again for your video!
