If you even got this basic info wrong how much should we trust your battery life findings 😂
Exynos modems are FAR more power hungry than snapdragon.
Just try a 4g video call and navigation (google maps) one full day. This phone is just too expensive for theese failures. Try games on 5g. It will shows... Just try out low reception aeras. It will eat up the battery just trying to find towers....
Of course if you use exynos at home with a good wifi - the result will similar as snapdragon.
But then why are you buy a MOBILE phone in the first place? In this price range its just unacceptable.
Your intro is incorrect, in the UK we have the Exynos in both the S24 and S24 Plus. Only the Ultra has the 8 Gen 3.
Same in India. But they put snapdragon in 24 and 24 plus in America, canada. Pathetic
It's because Snapdragon is an NA company so I'm pretty sure they would incure the wrath of the government or something and start imposing other kinds of fees to make money of Samsung if they didn't use Snapdragon chips. As they would probably see it as a way to avoid paying US companies for stuff. They've done it for other tech companies in the past.@@A.r.j.u.n33

Nope, I have the S24 Ultra and I've only just found out its an EXYNOS processor! I feel like sending it back now.
I get why Samsung wants the exynos in other countries. But I think they should just go with Snapdragon across the board.
They have a higher margin if they put their own chips in
Price hike would be insane if all use Snapdragon. Not all people can afford $1500+ phone
Samsung spent $50+ billion to upgrade their own foundry. They would not pay Qualcomm another $200 for each phone just to use something they themselves can make.
@@modestman6753 For that to be true, Samsung should have used Snapdragon only on the Ultra model in all regions.
Or they should sell Exynos variant for cheaper and Snapdragon variant for a little bit higher price
I dont think you have considered the call/reception/modem impact on battery life which most people would be impacted by in real life. I understand that the Exynos does not perform too well in that field. It should be a priority to include that in your tests.
It's indeed a joke, this test is only valid if your day to day life consist of staying at home the entire day on wifi. Tests have shown that 4G shows an entire different view on battery consumption, even worse for 5G! All thanks to that horrible Exynos modem.

I get that channels like this have to be pro-Exynos and frame tests around the positives, but we all know, even though we are not paid techie reviewers, that the main problems with Exynos are not addressed here:
1/ In the winter, these tests are useless due to much lower ambient temperatures. Many of my Exynos issues were in the warmer/hotter months, where it heated up and became a mess.
2/ Its modem is inferior to the X75, and therefore, the battery life on 5G is much worse than that of SD8G3. Testing on wifi is a cop-out.
3/ Exynos 2400 yield is significantly lower than SD8G3, which translates to worse QC; one Exynos chip can be okay, but the next could be a dumpster fire.
4/ The Exynos day-to-day is fine, but chips that are 3-year-old would also be great. The real test is under load, and some gaming tests have proved that the Exynos throttles hard and runs hotter, even much hotter than Snapdragon.
5/Exynos 2400 is possibly $100-150 cheaper than the SD8G3, but we have yet to see that reflected in the pricing.
6/ Why is it not in the Ultra if the E2400 is as good as reviewers claim? Why is the S24 & S24+ not Exynos in Samsung's biggest US market?
7/ Why confuse the market with two varieties and make updates and apps have to optimise for both? This could mean Exynos gets a raw deal.
8/ The people do not want Exynos, yet it is forced on us. Imagine if Apple released an A17Pro iPhone 15PM in the US but only an A16 15PM in Europe? I suspect Android Authority would be raging about that!
Samsung needs to stop treating some markets with second-rate chips. They either trust their chips or don't. If they trust them, as they claim, all S24/S24+ should be Exynos in every region.
Are you sponsored? In other videos everyone says Snapdragon is running on better temp and it goes up to 17% MORE battery life? How did you perform your test? Day to day SNAPDRAGON holds battery better! No snapdragon in Europe
He is not sponsored. The reason the snapdragon s24 outlasted the exynos s24 in the other video is because the exynos s24 was a defective unit

He'd have to say
Exynos is not weak, but Qualcomm is:
Stong with modems/antenna design/patents (hence Apple uses external QC modems)
Samsung is doing it in-house (or does Arm design modems?)
Using bleeding edge TSMC tech granting improvement to efficiency, peak perf etc.
Samsung using in-house lithography which previously has been a generation behind (when we have been able to compare).
GPU-wise Samsung has an interesting design using AMD tech, but I wonder if our devices/apps are able to use that hardware as efficiently. QC has the market share simliar to Nvidia, so devs will have a lot of Adreno devices to test against.
Would like to see Mediatek added to a follow up video as they have been coming very close to QC in terms of perf. Curious if their modems/efficiency can match QC
Also: RUclips needs to do something about all the bots with nude butts as profile pictures. Surprised content creators can't implement auto-bans to deal with it
Yeah, they need to cover Mediatek more!
I have a feeling that this is a sponsored add to push the exynos agenda. Since other people shown "real" test results and not bragging and it shown that exynos performed worse, battery in snapdragon laster 16% longer than exynos that went to 0%. Exynos was all the time warmer by 4-5C degrees, could not handle 4k camera recording as it was overheating and it went with an error or phone froze up completly to the point it needed a reboot.
That's what I felt, too. I think the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is the best hands down!

Exynos not yet. It is not worth for years. Not even years only months. After that it will throttle. As a Exynos user I'm saying this.
Thanks man
My S22U still performs the same around 1600-1700p single core.
My S21FE Exynos version heats up while watching RUclips. Heats up like crazy. So I won't recommend Exynos to anyone.
Usually yeah but this is the first good exynos is quite some time
I was an Exynos user (S21 Ultra) too prior to my current device, which is the S24+ Exynos. My S21 Ultra is absolutely horrible; overheats, battery drains quick, camera response was terrible and the phone stutters every now and then. Granted I live in a hot country (Malaysia), but having that kind of performance was extremely unacceptable, given that it is supposed to be a flagship device. The had issues with it's SIM module and I was unable to make calls after a year. I then got a budget phone in the Oppo A96, which co-incidently had a low range Snapdragon chip. And let me tell, I didn't bother to fix my S21 Ultra, as my Oppo performed admirably for 1.5 years. Long battery life, only runs lukewarm at most and was responsive enough for daily tasks. Sure the camera was crap, but overall it was a way better experience than my S21 Ultra. I was waiting eagerly for Samsung to release the S24, thinking it was gonna have the Snapdragon chip, but was disappointed to learn it was only reserved for the S24 Ultra. After a pondering long, going through multiple reviews and testing out the phones at the store, I decided to take a leap of faith and get the S24+ instead. I know it's been only day 4, but it worked better out the box than the S21 Ultra ever did. Sure it does not run as cool as my Oppo did, nor can it match the Oppo's battery life, but it performs so good at all my tasks. I am super heavy user and it has blazed thru the tasks I have thrown at it. It does get warm but not uncomfortable. The truth is I am disappointed that we didn't get the Snapdragon here, but I am glad to know that the Exynos now isn't a dud like my S21 Ultra was, and hopefully my S24+ Exynos will serve me well for a minimum of 3 years at least.
I have the s24 plus with the Exynos, and honestly, i am enjoying it. I haven't any issues whatsoever

I don't believe this video. I have seen the video "Snapdragon vs Exynos on Galaxy S24 | Exynos is Burning?" on Techmo's RUclips channel, Snapdragon is superior, more stable, even including better battery life, he carried out more detailed tests
exactly, that test was done on 5G, it did horribly. but I do recon the exynos performs well on wifi usage only, like this test.
Exynos 2100 in S21 with time started heating up even more. Since about 1 and a half years after release especially in video calls in all apps and in navigation apps during driving even in winter times without direct sunlight. Battery drain is much worse as well even after replacing the battery with new. I contemplated buying S24 Plus with exynos but after watching thorough reviews and comparison to 8g3, I will not be buying Exynos 2400. 1-2 years down the road and it will be the same or even worse than it was with 2100.
No, no and no. 2 different chips in most regions again is a bad sign. Samsung doing this only to save more money, compared what would be the price if Snapdragon would be inside globally like during the S23 lineup. Exynos still can't keep up, that is the reality. Worse, even the basic S24 is a flagship device, where you want the best possible chip, but in most regions you get a worse device. They ware afraid to do this for their Ultra model, because that one represent the very best what a smartphone can do right now, no matter the brand. If S24 Ultra would be divided like rest of their flagship lineup, phones like iPhone 15 pro/pro max or One Plus 12 would be actually a better choice. This is simply evil, S lineup should have Snapdragon gen 3 globally, no excuses. But Samsung is doing Apple practices for a while now - missing charger in packaging etc. It's sad, same as the fact that some people trying to defend and justify Exynos 2400.
I have been using Adaptive Battery Saver on my s24+ exonys for a couple of days, and it looks battery drain gets even better. You could test it also.
You can see the test here in RUclips USA vs exynos s24

4. Current Flagships with Latest Cutting Edge Technology Cameras only go upto 200MP including Samsung's own S23/24 Ultra, Half Useless
These are paid promotions,, why give Exynos to some places . If its best relese it all over world . Crap Exynos cheap set .
I bought s24 plus . I just feel like throwing this phone . My old phone was much better .
A strongly biased "review". Every slammed Samsung for their move to exynos and battery performance. No mention of the model's capabilities and efficiency. Avoid exynos at all cost since its priced the same as Snapdragon. Should be at least 100euros cheaper
the idea of a review is to trust their own data and not be influenced by other's results. thats science 101.
also thats why you watch multiple reviewers and not just one.
were the tests done on data while in the U.S. The better battery life could be explained by the exynos version not supporting 5g abroad.
The exynos doesn't support 5G as well in Europe either lol. (too hot and too much battery consumption)
@@jimmysack8454 hahaha, it was like that on the s22 for me. The s23 ultra snapdragon works great though
@@jimmysack8454 haha
What lol 5g works fine here in Australia.. battery life way better than expected ;)
Informative video and simply explained. You are doing great, don't stop and continue to make this kind of videos
How trustworthy is this test? Many reviewers have said that S24 with exynos have worse battery life than snapdragon. Is this perhaps because they tested battery life with heavy load tests like gaming and bencmarks and you did it with more normal user tasks, am I correct here?
How trustworthy? See this video trying to sell s24 through affiliated link?
What make you think this video is even unbiased?
This vid is a sponsored one, one to push you buying exynos and even have link to amazon with affiliation. Its a influencer thing. Look all we see is some grapths of unkown orgin, no real life test side by side with exynos/snapdragon s24 phones...all talk talk and belive in my words in place of real tests.
One day Apple will start making android phones 🤣
80 percent good is not enough when you paying the same money as for Snapdragon.
@fantasytky28 how much cheaper u want exynos to be
@@modestman6753 I don't care. As least not the same price as Snapdragon variant
Sorry but I'm not convinced! I have the S24 and the battery drain is huge on cellular (on Wi-Fi it's okay).
SD 8 Gen 2/3 >>> E2400
SD 8 Gen 3 outlasted E2400 with 17% left with less temperatures, never cook again
E2400 definitely improved by a Landslide compared to E2200/2300, but still SD is Better
This is the only youtube video that says Exynos is more power efficient than Snapdragon... now i don't know what to believe😅
Why would anyone want a Snapdragon??? The performance gains are ridiculously minuscule while the battery life of the Exynos is way in the double digits better. I haven't worried about performance for any flagship phone in the last 4 years, can't tell the difference anymore. I'd rather take battery life. Bring on the Exynos!
TLDR: Doesn't matter.
Ever since the S21 Ultra, Exynos or SD doesn't matter it was an actual issue in the 20 series (E Note 20U used to lag hard when new). Been using an Exynos S21 Ultra for the past 3 years now and haven't faced any slow downs or bad battery life as it still gets through a day.
Someone forgot s22
Exynos! Galaxy's DOWNFALL fhak you samsung stick EXYNOS in u arsh!.
Try Exynos in the high end then you'll understand what is good.
Two different chips means they are two different phones. Boycott.
Need to add one more thing. Why is Samsung not giving everyone Exynos chip. Let all of them suffer why just we.
Most countries get exynos, only a few get snapdragon like us, canada, china
Nonsense , still got the S9 plus after six years it's running fine😊
Exynose heat can melt ice of iceberg
Argue here and there, I don't really care, I'll just laugh with my S23 with Snapdragon 8 gen 2 for galaxy.
I got the Exynos S9Plus and now it only last me 1/3 of the day, furthermore, it so got hot that I can't make a video call and charge simultaneously. These facts are ridiculous when you compare it to the Iphone 11 which is still very viable in 2024, never again will I buy another Exynos phone!
İf flagship exynos chips are less efficient, I don't wanna think how bad of a inefficiency midrange exynos chips has
It was the same with Note 20 Ultra - Exynos had slightly lower performance and noticeably better battery life. But everybody painted it to be a big hindrance, which it wasn't.
@8-ri2itno, just no. Exynos is the worst chipset that ever existed on a phone
Why do you always overexpose your videos?
It is something you should really improve, it hurts my eyes!!!
Yeah, it's terrible
People argue about 'overcharging' for Exynos but with the S24 they made the base Exynos phones cheaper than last year's with SD :)
UK Launch Price
S23 (SD): £849
S24 (Exy) £799
US Launch Price
S23 (SD): $799
S24 (SD) $799
It should be 899 for US to make look like for getting exynos you pay less...but the same price means they are ripping people off on the chipset, since they save around 200$ on putting exynos in place of snapdragon...yet the price is the same so you get double f...d.
They should charge 200 euros less and it still wouldn't be worth it
I would like to see a comparison between the current exynos and the snapdragon gen 2, which came in the Galaxy S23.
Exynos destroyed it easily
Exynos is better, but heats more though
Samsung, it's not ok to sell two different products in different different regions with exactly the same name, and also restrict the warranty options if I buy the model I want from another region and use it in the place I live.
I would be ok with it, if they named the phones something like: S24s and S24e, so you know what you get from the start.
I've owned Snapdragon and Exynos Samsung phones and Snapdragon is undoubtedly superior.
Thank you this test. This makes sense.
Professionals: uses phone more for productivity, less for media stuff, prefers smaller phones, longer battery life, hence exynos would suffice
Media professionals: Larger screen, more media consumption, hence S24 ultra with exynos. Probably have multiple power sources readily available to charge up as well.
Is better, but still too bad. Just take in account its modems, which are really important part of MOBILE (CELL) phone...
I am s22 user using EU version. Great to see improvement but I’m no longer going to stay with Samsung anymore. I should be paying for what I get but Samsung has made it difficult for me because they refuse to give up the exynos and favour the US. Here are my problems with Exynos chip:
- overheating (impossible to function during the summers)
- battery life no lasting more than 4hrs (used it for 2yrs so battery might have differed but before I recorded the result when I started using it for a month (lasted 5hrs)
- frequent crashes even light scrolling on google
- poorly optimised and struggle on lighter games
- Camera quality is very different compared to snapdragon in a bad way
- I had to turn on power save mode for the entire time
- Has 5G but I have never used 5G due to overheating and poor battery
- signal receptors are poor and very hard to receive signals
I see, you suffered with s22 aswell and the same excat issues aa I did. What phone you will get next?
It's a shame how they shafted s22 users. S23 here and I've had none of these issues
Lol this page/channel is a sell out. Don't glorify inferior products.
This video was an eye-opener for me. Thanks to the presenter in this video, I now have a better understanding of phone processors and how they work, but it's left me feeling short-changed with the Exnos processor in my S24 Ultra.
Samsung shouldn't be allowed to charge the same price for two different processors! I bought the S24 Ultra because it was advertised as having the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, only to find out, a couple of months later, that my phone comes with a Exynos. I'm not happy about that.
I have plain s22 exynos and battery life is 10 hours if phone isn't used a lot. And it's running hot. And dropping frames while audio is stuttering when multitasking. Exynos does not belong in a premium class device, or should be sold at discount, e.g. fan edition versions.
Facts, my s22+ has about 2.5 sot
My 8gen1 s22plus has 6 hrs battery life
What you didn't test is the battery performance using 5g. That's not good for the Exynos.
I have used exynos 2100 for 3 years now and ther is a lot of bad things but I didn't adapt to it 😮 Such as poor performance in moderate to strong games and some lag
Honestly, I still want Snapdragon for the price I'm paying.
I think it would be good to film a video of the actual battery life test and the results.
ruclips.net/video/-eTSRngwAK0/видео.htmlsi=V1dKCrEUMCRgxyTi
its irrelevant if its only marginally worse. It sucks to know that they specifically chose certain markets to sell this inferior chip, even though a SD variant exists. That is straight up insulting. I wouldve been more understanding if the chip was more efficient or the price was lower, but they just decided to treat us as second tier customers.
Now compare picture quality. That was the one of the big difrences between Qual S22 and Exy S22.
For me, the performance gap between the chipset can skew towards one or the other depending on the software support or optimization. But the biggest factor for me when it comes to the two chips is that the image processing on the sd is vastly superior compared to the exynos even when they have identical sensors and that for me is a big player when it comes to a flagship phone.
And also the sd chip is proven to be super power efficient when compared to exynos in daily use shown by Techmo.
Not sure why you didn't test them with 4G/5G. This is a phone not a home gadget. Personally i mostly use cellular data through out the day so these results are useless to me but thanks anyways.
We want to see this results on device care App on both SD GEN 3 and Exynos 2400
Don't show the graf and paper work
People want real fact
In my opinion, Samsung should focus on Exynos only to give better optimisation in terms of performance, heat and battery, it's not like Exynos is that bad as they say
Nice to see exynos back on track after previous failures
Would be nice to see how the difference between Exynos and Snappi is after the SW updates and how the difference in modem performance and battery consumption is...
My s24 plus is exynos 2400
After one month of use its so great in all things i didnt see any problem i play cod mobile 120 FBS and i i didnt see any problem . I prefer snapdragon but this Exynos 2400 is so great and different from other exynos.
What about the battrey life is it good and how many SOT do u have?
Samsung exynos chipset has been getting a lot of hatred or criticism for not being able to deliver a performance that other devices are giving on similar price. It's main criticism is heating issue and battery drain. Now somehow coming to the latest S24 and plus they have addressed not hundred percent but I would say 80 this issue. They are working on it otherwise people are more aware of this.
if even Samsung is ashamed to use exynos on their home country that really tells you something. if its really that good, then theres really not much reason for them to use snapdragon at all 😉😉
I am surprised how people get influenced by these benchmarks test. In reality, the sd version performs much better in every department even in battery performance.
S24 plus exynos still suffers from many old exynos issues, the device heats up after using camera recording for about 5-10 mins. The overall camera quality is bad if we compare with sd version and about raytracing, how many of us play games with raytracing on mobile phones.
Its sad getting to see these chipsets on flagships devices.
In real sxynks performs better because its more stable
