To answer your question. I recently got the exynos S24, and here's my verdict. It is actually a phenomenal phone. Smooth UI experience, no hiccup, reasonable battery life (1 whole day), and a crystal clear display. The only problem is it heats up like a m!@#, especially when the weather is hot. And it tends to randomly heat up when you're using it doing simple tasks.
@@Priya_JR i actually do not plan on returning it. This is actually a really great phone. Fast, smooth, gorgeous looking and feels good in the hand. Better than any phone I've ever used that's for sure. I'll be keeping it, the heating problem is tolerable compared to all of this
I upgraded from the S23 mostly because it didnt cost me anything, to benefit the 7 years update and better value when I'll resell it than S23. Battery life is pretty much the same compared to S23. Everything else is comparable than previous gen. But I prefer the flat sides of the S24. With the S22 and S23 being slightly curved on the sides, even if I always had a case on it, some dust and particules scratched the paint of the sides... Now, as the sides of the S24 is flat, no issue anymore.
Same here, I used both of them parallel.. I love my S24. Exynos had some issues, but I'm not a gamer. We have very fast 5G too. Will see in the summer...
I just got my s24 yesterday, transfered data from my s10e to this s24. Its good, doesnt heat up much when playing graphical hungey games, camera is okay but to be honest could be better, the screen and grapgics is outstanding, charging exceptionally fast. Ive read 2 of 3 different places that you have to have been using the phone for at least 6 weeks for the battery performenc to get better as the chip adapts to your behavior but we will see, i hope its true. I would have rather got the snapdragon in here but i did get mine on special at least around here in nz for 1366 nzd, thats 829 usd for those who live in u.s
@TechMishka I hope that over time battery and overall efficiency does improve. I hope that what they say about the phone learning capabilities kick in to give you a better experience in terms of performance and battery is true
Great video! Really helped me value this phone more. I was afraid that the exynos would have a much worse battery and camera experience than the snapdragon. Curious on what's your take is between the iPhone 15 and the s24?
I have made the mistake of upgrading from s22 to s24.. except additional 30-40 mins of SOT, I didn't get anything better. Camera quality struggles in night & dark times. Heat issue is still there..not very compact and has slight dimension increase.
I am currently using a M51 and was thinking to update to an S24 and use it for the next 4/5 years. However with since it now comes with exynos I am not so sure yet. So should I go ahead with exynos S24 or look for something else?
S23 even has same cameras and same RAM/storage. While in typical use battery starts degrading significantly well before shorter OS update support ends. At least battery should be easily user replaceable for very long support to be fully usefull. But pretty sure Samsung won't give user that until mandated by EU in 2027. Myself should get Xiaomi 14 in few days as upgrade from Exynos S8. Basing on GSMArena and Notebookcheck battery life in use should be clearly better than in either S23 or S24 and Samsung's cameras just felt stagnated. With big battery and Snapdragon hopefully also standby endurance will be comparable to my older phones like Snapdragon Xperia X3 Compact after suffering from that Excryment S8.
for me the frame upgrade on the S24 is almost worth it lmao, i love the frame on the S24, hate the older glossy fingerprint frame samsung always uses, much more clean and better looking on the S24
After All The Discounts I Am Getting S24 at 48k and S23 at 38k which one should i go for as there is a 10-12 thousand gap and what rate should i pay what should be the ideal price gap between s23 and s24
Exynos is very good to me, even better than Snap Dragon on the S23! I have the two. I wish also Exynos for the S25! Exynos haves a better signal. Snap Dragon loses a signal very often in Europe, Belgium.

i have it, it is a great phone. With all updates we will get a fix for the initial issues. Performance wise the Snapdragon is a bit faster but you cannot tell in real life using of phone. They are pretty close, and the camera is better than the one in the Snapdragon, some people will argue this. Samsung strategy is to have all its phones with the Exynos.
The s24 plus is a great upgrade and people need tobget over the hang up of the exynos. Yes would prefer snapdragon but its really not that bad and the screen and ram upgrade is reason enough to upgrade.

Why is everyone picking on the speed of battery charging? Are you all in such a rush - poor people, watch out your mental health... Don't you all know that quick charging decreases the batteries longevity significantly? Obviously you buy a new phone every other year...
Same as why we need a fast internet speed..why not sticking to old 2G 3G speed for..just relaxing and not rush? Everything is fast now.. batteries is always a degradable thing.. Apple brainwashing everyone that keeping and taking care of battery health is a thing..and charging expensive to swap for a new battery..old times where we can just cheaply swapping the battery ourselves is one of the best thing in smartphone world..
I have been intentionally charging with 5V/2A charger and my battery is still good after five years on my huawei p20. The other poco I have I charge with 5V/3A because the quick charging is nuts.
@@mikiswordbreaker4805 Speed of battery degradation varies by huge amount depending on how it's treated: Just charging process itself without even elevated temperatures causes wear... Charging only to 80% instead of 100% roughly doubles the number of cycles you get per specific wear from lithium chemisty cell. Also high cell charge/voltage causes reaction degrading battery and keeping phone in charger for whole night with battery at 100% is bad. Similarly low cell charge/voltage has its own battery damaging/wearing chemical reaction and you don't want to let battery go very empty and keep it there. While charging battery once from 0% to 100%+ discharging it, and charging battery twice from 30% to 80%+discharging back to 30% both technically make one cycle, former is far more damaging to battery. And if temperature is high that increases speed of chemical reactions damaging battery even faster. It's all that which decides if battery is on its way out in couple years, or if it's still doing fine at five year mark. So user should be able to easily select slower charging speed than maximum
For the one who's gonna enter S series, 23 or 24 should i get?? A bit dillema cos of the processor things and like these 2 series seens similar in many factors I'm gonna upgrade from J series btw

If you're after compact phone, if we can say that anymore, it's definitely really good choise especially in Snapdragon countries. Though rest of the world gets Exynos with its weaker modem making it kind of meh upgrade to S23, if signal reception/mobile data and efficiency are important. Also cameras are hand me downs. Though in compact models there's very little competition in high end, or if wanting wireless charging. Xiaomi 14 being one of the few smaller size phones with high end features and hardware.
@@ejleonen6644 For average user not knowing how to reduce lithium battery wear, battery will be seriously degrading at five year mark. And software won't fix weaker Exynos modems. I have Exynos S8 and its power hog for doing absolutely nothing but maintaining standby network connection compared to previous Snapdragon based Xperia Z3 Compact, which did far better despite of 15% smaller battery.
I've used 2 samsungs with exynos. S7 Edge & Note 10lite. Battery life was horrible on both. Besides, the Note 10 lite camera was pathetic. Never gonna buy another phone with the crappy exynos.
go to cry to another place with your rants. The S7 edge Exynos was better than the SD counterpart, imagine how the S7 edge Qualcomm holds up now, even more crappier.
You mentioned network freezes. I wonder if this is an Exynos thing. For example, I get fewer bars with my Exynos S22 Ultra compared to my previous Snapdragon-based phone, and I also can't get 5G in the Sofia metro, which again, I did get on my previous phone. Have you been to metro with it?
Qualcomm has the best tech (+patents) for modems, which affects anything needing that network connectivity like standby and especially calls and mobile data. In GSMArena's tests talk time of Exynos S24 dropped 20% from S23 (all Snapdragon) despite of slightly bigger battery. So if you want the best and power efficient connections for that mobile use, I would say it's better to look for Snapdragon phones. I'm myself looking at Xiaomi 14 to replace Exynos S8, whose "standby" is absolute power hog compared to previous Snapdragon based Xperia Z3 Compact, unless I disable 4G.
Qualcomms and Huaweis modems are the best. 5 years ago i switched from a Samsung Galaxy a5(2017) to a Honor Play and got immidiately way better reception quality. So sad that Huawei is under sanctions now!

Is it really bad, or still good for a casual user like me? I mean, I don’t really do gaming or post on social media. Just want it for watching videos and taking pics (not that every pixel matters to me either as long as it looks good 😅)
It will be totally fine! The phone is great.
If this is my entry into the S Series, would you recommend S23 or S24, given they are both at the same price? I mainly use my phone for OTT, Photos and Calls
@@andreasjames1956 Are you planning on returning it for a different phone perhaps? Or do you think it might get better with some update?
@@Priya_JR i actually do not plan on returning it. This is actually a really great phone. Fast, smooth, gorgeous looking and feels good in the hand. Better than any phone I've ever used that's for sure. I'll be keeping it, the heating problem is tolerable compared to all of this
S24 is newer and will get greater software support. Go for it
@@andreasjames1956Hello 3mos later, have you fixed the heating issue? Maybe an app or service running on background or something. Is still good?
It's powerful and fits in my pants pocket. Don't need an annoying belt case anymore. I miss the sd card slot. It's ok.

👍👍
I upgraded from the S23 mostly because it didnt cost me anything, to benefit the 7 years update and better value when I'll resell it than S23. Battery life is pretty much the same compared to S23. Everything else is comparable than previous gen. But I prefer the flat sides of the S24. With the S22 and S23 being slightly curved on the sides, even if I always had a case on it, some dust and particules scratched the paint of the sides... Now, as the sides of the S24 is flat, no issue anymore.
I think I also enjoy the new sides more than S23. Do you have the Exynos edition or the one with Snapdragon?
Same here, I used both of them parallel.. I love my S24. Exynos had some issues, but I'm not a gamer. We have very fast 5G too. Will see in the summer...
Would you be keeping the S24 for 7 years tho? Considering you upgraded from the S23?
Exynos or snapdragon?
Do you have exynos or snapdragon?
You are absolutely right
♥️
I have heard many people talk about the adaptive battery and this has never really worked with me. Battery life with the Galaxy is great though.
@TechMishka I hope that over time battery and overall efficiency does improve.
I hope that what they say about the phone learning capabilities kick in to give you a better experience in terms of performance and battery is true
The S24 looks like A54 design. The flash placement is the same. The S23 flash is placed a little higher.
Yeah, great observation.
Great video! Really helped me value this phone more. I was afraid that the exynos would have a much worse battery and camera experience than the snapdragon.
Curious on what's your take is between the iPhone 15 and the s24?
Althought I am not reviewing Apple devices, I'd vote for the iPhone.
I have made the mistake of upgrading from s22 to s24.. except additional 30-40 mins of SOT, I didn't get anything better. Camera quality struggles in night & dark times. Heat issue is still there..not very compact and has slight dimension increase.
This is weird - the camera setup should be almost the same. As for the processor - the new Exynos is way better.
I am currently using a M51 and was thinking to update to an S24 and use it for the next 4/5 years. However with since it now comes with exynos I am not so sure yet. So should I go ahead with exynos S24 or look for something else?
S24 is a very good choice.
Is Xiaomi 14 better than s24 Exynos?
Camera and battery perfomance is main priority.
@@TechMishka
If I have to pick smaller device I will go with S23 cheaper and better or xiaomi 14.
👍👍
If you want a phone with best overall batterylife then you only option that is the Xperia 5V @@tuunaes
Which phone do you currently use as your daily driver/personal phone? Thanks.
I have the US version of S24+ and keep on using it.
for me the frame upgrade on the S24 is almost worth it lmao, i love the frame on the S24, hate the older glossy fingerprint frame samsung always uses, much more clean and better looking on the S24
👍👍
It be a problem with signal if i order a SD version of S24 regular in Europe ?
I have no issues at all. Tried in Bulgaria and Spain already
I don't think they make anything that only works in the us, my experience is that it works anywhere
After All The Discounts I Am Getting S24 at 48k and S23 at 38k which one should i go for as there is a 10-12 thousand gap and what rate should i pay what should be the ideal price gap between s23 and s24
Both are great phones. I feel that the deal for S23 is better.
Fantastic review 👍
Thank you! 👍
Exynos is very good to me, even better than Snap Dragon on the S23! I have the two. I wish also Exynos for the S25! Exynos haves a better signal. Snap Dragon loses a signal very often in Europe, Belgium.

Sounds like there is an app running in the background. Check the battery usage
So things have stayed the same. Exynos is crap.
Looks like it.
It's not. I have one.

@@reziee5897 agreed, but such average users could be happy with an S21FE/A54 and never know the difference. Why pay more for similar crappy Exynos experience?
@@GorZicYou made it seem like Exynos is hell or something Exynos 2400 is still one of the strongest CPUs in the world like 4th strongest yeah it's still slightly worse than 8 Gen 3 but it doesn't make it crappy or anything you like say people just love to exaggerate sometimes
I had an eye on the s24+ 512GB, but the Exynos standby time and worse receiption in low signal areas in comparison to the SD pushed me to the S24 Ultra 256GB. It's big, but the size is ok as long as it fits in my side pocket, also in summer pants... 🫣😅
You will get used to it 🙃
I love my note 10 but I can't see myself carrying s24 ultra due to its huge size. I'm looking for smaller size phones and seeing the exynos on s24 non-ultra, I'll be skipping the series all together. Might end up going with the s23 or even the flip phone.
Sounds like a good plan!
Atleast better than any of the ex and current iphone base models
Hmmmmm... Sounds like it
Very nice review. I have decided to skip this and either buy S23 or Xiaomi 14 (I am looking for a compact phone). Based on your experience which will you choose among these 2 devices?
I loved the S23 experience.
My s23 was snapdragon. I buy s24 now exynos... this batterylife is bad... really samsung did last time that SD was in every phone, but not this year... so why i pay this same price what people who get snapdragon...
How long have you had the s24 exy?
You can try switching to light performance profile - it sometimes helps with the battery.
im still eyeing the s23, i do hope i dont get that camera blur issue
It will be fine ☺️
I have a question i have to decide between s24 exynos or s23 snapdragon the price difference is like 60€ so it's not big deal but I'm looking for long-term phone so which one should i get?
Well since you are looking for a long-term phone, s23 will have 3-4 years of software updates while samsung said they will provide 7 years of updates for s24.
Yeah exynos is not that good, but is also not that bad. Im going to buy an s24 soon also😅
The S24 will have longer support about software.
Hey! Love your videos. Will you make a Galaxy A55 review?
Maybe some time in the late spring.
I want buy s24 but can Exynos 2400 support for long term use like 5 to 6 years without any lags and issues please reply
There is no question here... ☺️ If you need encouragement - great!
yeah, that network freeze, its been bothering me since i upgrade to S24 from my S20. But overall, for an average user like me, its a good upgrade.
It is a very significant upgrade, enjoy! Pretty sure they will.fix this soon
Currently using S21 Fe, should I upgrade it to S 24, just for the camera?
It will be a nice boost, yeah
i have it, it is a great phone.
I got the exeynos version and it just heats up just like anything.
That's normal for Exynos. Overall - it is fine
The s24 plus is a great upgrade and people need tobget over the hang up of the exynos. Yes would prefer snapdragon but its really not that bad and the screen and ram upgrade is reason enough to upgrade.
no, stop being a fanboy
Well... Depends on the point if view ☺️

Just got my OnePlus 12. The Samsung S24 was a close contender but the price, battery and Hasselblad cameras won me over. My only gripe is I don't like the curved edges on the screen. Samsung really knows how a screen is supposed to look. It was a tough choice but I just didn't see anything compelling enough to move to Samsung.

Bugs with Pixel 7? What kind of them?
To be brutally honest I switched froma Xiaomi Redmi 11 and I was pretty disappointed that the performance was not much better. There are stutters, the phone becomes really slow sometimes and those AI features are for the most part not really usable. I was expecting more given the fact that I switched from a 2 year old 200€ phone. That's definately my last Samsung and the last time I spent so much money on a phone.

I have the same. I switched from Redmi Note 7 and can say that I also sometimes see microlags in animation... It is not clear, it is because of the Exynos processor or OS optimization. But I am disappointed that in a phone for such money I watch such problems
The s24 back glass and front is strong but after one drop my frame got a dent it is it possible to repair its at the bottom left

Hanswi is right, samsung uses slow charging to expand the life of the battery
I have been intentionally charging with 5V/2A charger and my battery is still good after five years on my huawei p20. The other poco I have I charge with 5V/3A because the quick charging is nuts.
@@mikiswordbreaker4805 Speed of battery degradation varies by huge amount depending on how it's treated:
Just charging process itself without even elevated temperatures causes wear...
Because fast charging makes a difference.
For the one who's gonna enter S series, 23 or 24 should i get?? A bit dillema cos of the processor things and like these 2 series seens similar in many factors
I'm gonna upgrade from J series btw

Would you recommend switching to the S24 coming from a non-samsung phone?
Sure. The phone is overall excellent.

A basic Noname green case. Bought it in a local shop.
Exynos have go e a long way ever since. But there are areas that could be optimized.
Using the Snapdragon edition in the past week - no freezes thus far

Yeah, looks like it. But there always is the chance for them to make a step up.
Did you record this review before Camera Update ?
No, it was after it. Some of the photos are with the older software. But let's be objective about it - this is 2-3 year old setup, so not much more room for improvement...
Love my S24
👍👍
How it is vs s gen 2 during really hot days, isnt it laggy?
It is fine. A bit laggy in hot days though
@@TechMishka and so you reccomend, looking at this aspect.. battery in two years for example with high temperature during hot days.. which one will be better?
I’d rather 23 ultra over 24+ with Exynos
Me too
Watch from pakistan 🇵🇰 dude
❤️❤️
Samsung will only use exynoss in s25 series....
Yeah, seen the rumors too 🤔
Those thermals now ... Seems like the 7 years (support) will be fun as hell for the exynos.
Well, depends on the updates ☺️
Recently I saw a video on battery test S24 Exynos vs Snapdragon - the results were great (mostly even compared to before the update). However, using 5G instead of WiFi showed higher temps and more battery drain for Exynos. So if the 5G modem is not so good in the Exynos version I am not sure that any software update can fix this.
Compact smartphone?
👍😊
S23 awesome
♥️
Exynos is good for average users..dont trust ..i sold my. S24
Yeah... Disappointing.
The speakers on the s24 is trash and i got some bluetooth problem too
I cannot disagree more. These are among the best tuned speakers I've ever heard.
I agree my s24 plus has weak tinny sounding speakers, so disappointed
@angied8919 does ur volume also sometimes decreases a little even when ur not doing anything?
@@Adam-ul9px I haven't noticed that but I have to turn the volume up really high to get any decent sound. I've installed a bass booster app but I'm still thinking about returning this phone. It's great to have QHD back but the speakers on my a54 are so much better
Say no no no to the stupid Exynos what a short change to my regions we will never buy this crap,.
Xiao mi is more Genuine they come with Snapdragon and faster charging speed. 😏
Fair enough. Enjoy your Xiaomi device
I never use throtle test lol its shit you cant put same conditions phone all i know exynos 2400 craps even over 8gen3 specailly in ray tracing games matains perf for longer has similar raw power as we can see from geekbench
You are a serious Samsung fan!
Would you please make a list of all the apps and games that utilize ray tracing? Asking for a friend, you know... 😜
Lol i talk about the future and as tests have shown 2400 craps over 8gen 3 @@TechMishka
Al = les battery = No thanks
You can stop most of these AI features.
Exynos 2400 is so much better then the Snapdragon 8 gen 2
Errrr, okay 🧐
@OttoHartoch-bb9zc since when are you using the device ?
First :)
Yes you are!
Samsung is pathetic
Hmm... Well - they have their strategy. Maybe some of us don't understand it 🤔
Strategy is to become Android iPhone@@TechMishka
