I am pretty sure, with a Snapdragon version you would have:
    - better GPS signal
    - better Carrier signal
    - better battery life
Last week I bought the S23 since we only have the S24 Exynos in Europe. I have seen Exynos versions having trouble with signal quality which leads to worse battery life. Don't get fooled by Wi-fi only reviews.

I've decided to go with the S24 and I love it. The size is perfect for ergonomics, I have DeX if I want to go big, and the hardware could be basically the same from year(s) past, yes, but on the bright side it means that all the little details are kinda perfected by now. And the software is the best in the Android world.
I literally keep discovering new features every week or so. All so integrated. The only Android brand that I know the has a lot of third part RUclips channels just exploring the OS functions. There's always something new.
The system is so integrated. Their apps work better than Google counterparts. I recommend to dive in the routines, and the system indexation usage of the hashtags for files, images etc.
And 7 years of OS support is sweet. Only if they use that marvelous Motorola tech for charging (I've came from a Moto Edge 30 Ultra).

Thought I'd get used to it but it's a pretty disappointing washed out white-blue. With so many beautiful shades of blue available it's a strange one for Samsung to choose. That being said I'm so happy with the S24's size, quickness, reliability, battery, customisability, ease of use.. and my favourite feature: the screen is bright and clear without ever being harsh on the eyes. In daytime and at night I can look at the screen all I like and never get the feeling of glare, reflection, excessive whiteness etc. I keep the brightness quite low and it's always perfect to read, soft and gentle on the eyes. Personally I like the simplified approach of the pixel. As one who came from iOS back to android (I simply missed it too much), I'd grown to appreciate the simplified approach of iOS. So pixel 8 pro was the perfect blend of both worlds for me at least. And even now, I've considered going back to iPhone 16 but the pixel is making me feel "meh" about the idea. So while I understand how people would prefer the samsung over the pixel, the pixel is currently what's keeping me rooted as an android user in general.
Though, I have to say, just hearing "never gets warm to the touch" alone has made me start considering venturing back to the samsung flavor of android...

Pixel has: better haptics. Visual voicemail built in. Better cameras. Less bloatware.
The Samsung is great (I’m typing this in a S23. Better fingerprint scanner btw). But there’s still a lot that recommends the Pixel.

Got S24 128 GB last year on Black Friday for 599 Eur. For me it was simple instant option. I love the compact size of the phone. Before S24 I had 2 big bricks and I was tired of the giant size.
S24 fits perfectly in hand and is easy to use just with one hand.
They said, dont buy it, it has Exynos. Well I dont play games on phone, I got gaming PC for that. So its enough for my daily life and tasks. But you got only 128 version, thats not enough. For music? Spotify is the answer, for pictures and videos? I can move them to my PC or Cloud storage.
Battery could be bigger, thats true, but it still has good life. I charge it before I go sleep and the next day as I come home from work, it still has like 40% to 55% power. Depends on exact days, cuzz some of them I have to use it more.
This is ofc very personal experience. But as I said, for me its a perfect phone. :)

The obvious reason that you are seeing worse battery life than the S23 is the crappy Exynos processor. It's also why you are seeing fluidity problems. I have no such problems on my S23 Plus nor did I on my S23U.
Earlier this year I had 2 x S24 Plus devices and they both exhibited slightly worse battery life and micro stutters in the UI. If the Exynos is so good, Samsung would have used it in the S24U, which they didn't. The Samsung modem that it uses is also rubbish with far worse than a SD device.

I'm running a Google Pixel 7 Pro with Nova Launcher. Easy peasy. Haven't had any issues. Hardware is great. All day battery. Smooth as butter.
Not having those Pixel widgets is so much better. I really don't understand why Google insists on keeping them locked into position. It's rather insulting to their users. If I don't find it useful, I'll use it. But I don't, so I don't. Simple as that. I like my home screen decluttered, Google. Open it up.

as a Samsung user the issue with the S line up is the fact they willingly make the base model inferior by using inferior camera sensors nd cooling system than the Ultra, that why comparing a basic S model and a basic iPhone, the iPhone will always be superior. I wish they go back the days of the S8 when they made the phone just bigger but offering the same experience on all variants

I gave the s24 Ultra a try, and it already had hang ups from the box, added to a subpar camera experience. If you have pets or kids, go with a Pixel or iPhone.

I think Samsung has a similar design for all of their phone lines because they want to create an identity among their products.
I mean, I can easily identify a flagship Samsung and a midrange Samsung just by looking if the phone has thin or thick bezels. I don't see that as a problem.
