People forget that the s line are all flagship level devices.
Exepct the S10 lite and Note10 lite
It is but also it has stuff missing such as a slower charging point, lower screen resolution to it's bigger brother. It even has a exynos chip which is inferior by like 10-15% compared to the snap dragon variant in America. So, they did cheapen out in some other areas despite it being s models
@StayPositive-sd8oppersonally I've never used nfc
The S24 is absolutely a flagship phone. It's just the smallest and most affordable variant.
On what processor?
@@janisspalvins677Exynos for global
@KoalaBeer. Get it, the US or China variant SD8 gen3
@@WoWiWe-z2pSaya berada dimalaysia..Dan Saya menggunakan version Canada...sd8 gen3...❤
@KoalaBeer. S24 is really amazing smartphone. But if you are from Europe, than stay with S23 and wait for the next model.
Now this is a tech review. No BS, clean atheistic footage, actual real life experience with the device, not 3 hours of side by side camera footage, and a down to earth host. Keep it up, so far the realist review I’ve seen of this device, I look forward to the day in the life.
He is full of bs. S24 not a flagship? Canadian models are all equipped with snapdragon 8 gen3 , not just the ultra. The most powerful chip.
S24 doesn't have an anti-reflective coating.
use a matte / anti glare screen protector
The original plastic screenprotectoe from samsung has the anti reflective coating.
Even the normal S24 isn't a budget phone,sir😂❤
true
If you can buy the phone with an introduction deal, then its cheap. You could have taking a year subscription and paid 15 euro for this (180 euro) and bought a s24 for € 180. Total of 360 euro.
I disagree with you when u say that everybody wants a 1500 dollars huge phone, for most people regular s24 is perfection
Isn't the anti-reflective coating applied only to the Ultra?
I believe that is correct.
@eamonob84 aah, yes, it's 10000% correct. I checked. The anti reflective coating is due to Gorilla armor, which is exclusive to Ultra.
Just another day reviewers making content with devices they don't actually use.
I have a 23 Ultra and recently got the S24 for the smaller size and it’s wonderful. Such a great device. Great video. New sub.
Doesn't small screen feels less immersive while watching video? Or do u feel you are missing something?
@@rationalHuman1897 oh yeah, the screen on the Ultra is much more immersive. I have no complaints watching a show on it. I definitely do not watch movies or shows on my S24. RUclips, yeast cuz it’s short. But anything longer than 30 min, I’d want a larger screen.
That's what I plan doing too, going from the s23U to the s24
I think the same too hmm @@parrishthomas92
@parrishthomas92 @soo5985 am also planning the same. Literally getting hand pains...thought it would get adjusted with time but a year has crossed with my S23 U 😪 S24 is the way fwd now
I bought the plain old s24 on purpose because i needed a smaller phone. Going from a flip 4, which i LOVE but it's painfully slow and laggy, i would have gone for the flip 5 but i don't think it's where i need it yet. I'm excited for the "budget" LMAO s24 because it'll fit in my pocket and i don't need a whole freaking desktop in my hands. Just a nice camera and can load a website in less than 60 seconds.
A potato can load a webstie in less than 60 seconds bro you tripping.
As an average user who would hardly notice minor differences in phones, I'm really happy with my s24. I've been a pixel user for the last six years with nothing negative to say about Google, but considering I get a phone every two years, I just thought it would be nice to try something else.
My provider actually had a better deal on the S24 over the pixel 8, which was my main deciding factor along with I think the S24 is a really good-looking phone, and I love the marble gray.
Personally, anything larger than the base version of these phones just wouldn't work in my life as they would be too big and annoyinging to carry around all day. Im sure the features would be better, but I can't justify walking around all day with a tablet in my pocket, lol.
I like the phone overall but mine has terrible battery. I’m more of a light user but I get 3 hours of screen time. My Pixel 7, after a year and a bit, had 3.5 hours of screen time. I called Samsung and they told me to go to Mobile Klinik. They checked my phone and said my phone’s battery is good after they did a few tests. I primarily text, check email and social media, listen to downloaded music, etc. I rarely watch videos, and I don’t play games, yet my S24 has terrible battery life
@@kevinnguyen3389 Was it the first week you've been using it? Most phones have absolutely terrible battery life on the first few days, and then it improves significantly. How's the battery after 3 weeks?
Great review, could we get a galaxy s24 ultra vs iPhone 15 pro max camera comparison? The galaxy was given a major camera update
1st time ever watching your videos, great job 💪 i hit the subscribe and like button
I used to have a iPhone 12 Mini at 5. 4 inches and even at that the Galaxy Note when it first came out was about the same size
Mind boggling
Watching from my S10 plus
I just got upgraded from s10+ today. Gunna set up s24 tmr
Man I loved my s10, if I hadn't smashed it I would still be using it now, they feel ace in your hand
Samsung has a category in settings wich is all about the galaxy A.i features, and at this place there's also a toggle that let's you run all these a.i features completely offline (at least the s24ultra)
S24 as well
keep up your good work, it's good to see reviews from a Canadian perpective.
sucks that in Australia we dont get the Snapdragon in the s24 and s24+
Same in EU... I bought rather S23 last week with Snapdragon Gen 2 👍🏻
It's bugger all difference irw performance.
I have this exact one. Same color. I don't think I can do "big" phones anymore.
I would be more than happy to pay Ultra prices for a smaller device. The S24 is a flagship, though, without a doubt.
I am experiencing overheating issues on my Exynos-powered device, particularly when scrolling through the interface.
What about now?
Did it improve?
And I wonder if the main difference is in fact the new non_ reflective screen on the ultra version?
How much screen time you getting on s24?
Exactly what I am wondering about. I own S24 for only 2 weeks now, but so far I'm stuck only with around 4-5h of SoT. Exynos variant tho. But still. This is a huge disappointment. Mby it will improve slightly but never up to proclaimed 8h.
If there is anyone with better SoT let me know, please, bcs I just might be having faulty piece. Just don't want to get into the process of complaint yet, until I get more info, bcs I just might be left without the devices for at least a month without any assurance that it will improve. 😕
@@ondrejbulicka6637 You play too much games on your phone. Nowadays people complaining about batteries yet don't seem to notice all the random baloney their putting in their phones. Meanwhile I use my S24 for call, text and short RUclips vids during break, and I charge my phone once every two days, sometimes once every 3 days.
howa about Exynos variant?
I'm not hearing anyone out when they call this phone 'budget'. Realising what you said was nonsense, you should have just edited it out lmao
Disclaimer: Only buy a Snapdragon variant. Better still, save some money and get an S23 with SD 8Gen2.😊
Thank you for the thoughts and review. I currently have an S22, and the (to me) underwhelming S24 is the first of several Samsung flagship phones that has me considering giving iPhone a try. I have been Android, usually Samsung, for probably 12 years.
Time for an iPhone try?
Traitor
I just traded the 15 Pro Max for the Snapdragon S24 even tho our market has the Exynos.
The battery life and everything else is way top tier!
Keep in mind the phone I just came from
I have both the iPhone 13 pro max and the galaxy s24. I can't speak for the iPhone 15 but I like the operating system on the android better.
I had an s10 and 'upgraded' to an s22 which I felt was a downgrade, but I've got an s24 coming tomorrow so we'll see
*the regular S24 does not have the anti reflective coating bro*
I sold my s23fe and bought s24. Best samsung ever. Small display is very good. Camare is better than iphone15. Only battery life is a problem.
Is it bad than s23fe I just bought s23fe but now thinking to trade in with s24
May i know which one S24 that you bought, the Exynos or SD?
I bought a54 but not happy with the size and camera i want to buy s24 now . How much the camera difference.
Yeah; I switched from a54 to s24. Didn't like the weight of A54
@@englishboy993 and what other things you are now happy with s24

Astounding!
Is there a way to bring SnapDragon version to Europe, because Exynos is trash

I don't understand your comment about 8GB and 12GB. I can't find anything online about an S24 with 12GB of RAM. Samsung store doesn't sell one. You have to go up to the S24+ to get 12GB of RAM.
He's probably including the Swap RAM like most deceptive advertisement regarding RAM.
How to spot if my s24 is a ufs 3.1 or 4.0 ...let's say the phone is sealed in the box how to check before buying???
My only question is after 2-3 years is it still gonna be as fast as it was when new?
I got mine for 700 CAD, sealed box from Facebook. The S24 is a complete flagship phone in a small body. It can do exactly what those gigantic ones do
What's your launcher? :)
what is the monitor you use at 11:05?
You can get deals on the ultra too. I got an open box deal for 250 off plus I traded in my S21 and got 150 for it. The Ultra is a beast of a phone.
OnePlus 12 or this samsung s24?? I use a samsung galaxy A73 and I'm looking for a new one I'm stuck between the OnePlus and samsung
Go for Samsung if you want reliability oneplus nowadays can't be trusted because of motherboard issues and company won't even try to cover your loss even if it's in warranty period

What about pwm? Does it affect our eye?
not at all, but i'm not really sensitive to that
@@jonvaliagasI am also not sensitive to it, so even though it's pwm is low it's safe to use it am I right?
@@jonvaliagasdoes the 8/256gb has ufs 4.0?
In model s23 big pwm, s 24 no pwm, it's so very good, s23 your eyes the fly out in a week
Is this exynos or snapdragon?
Snapdragon in US, Canada and China. Everywhere else gets the exynos.
Long term must mean something different now
S24+ is the sweet spot for me. Going to return the Ultra. Don't use the S Pen, don't take 100x zoom photos, and the thing is so heavy and awkward compared to the S24+. The anti relefective coating is cool, but I don't miss it at all because the screen on the Plus is gorgeous!
New sub. I like to hear your perspective. Keep up the good job.
One glaring omission is the fact that the AI features are only free until the end of 2025. After that they might switch to a subscription model. I personally think that's a huge mistake since it's being touted as a "feature" on the phones instead of a 3rd party service that you can use on any phone. If/when they switch to a subscription model, they are going to have a lot of angry customers.
Nice video! I have a question. Let's see if anyone can help me. I'm going to buy a new phone. I've been recently using an iphone se 3rd gen. I can a get a pixel 8 for only 500 or a S24 for 700. I really don't know what to do here. I'm inclined to buy the pixel for the price tag. I don't use the phone for nothing more than social media and emails... Thanks!!!
Can it last 5 year like my ip11max? Please answer
7 years bro
I opted for the S24 Plus. Once upon a time I Always bought the Ultra but I don't have any use for the S Pen. I used my S21 Ultra for my trade-in and picked it up through the Shop Samsung app.
I just got my Galaxy S24 in 512GB UFS 4.0 + 8GB variant with the snapdragon 8 gen 3 processor. and I gotta say this phone is a beast in everything!
So above 128gb storage is ufs 4.0 and only the 128gb is the one with ufs 3.1 right ?
@@outlaw__________8016 yes.
I am stuck between the S24 and S23FE.....the S24 has the better quality screen, but not much different to the S23. For me, the bigger screen of the S23 is similar to my current A54. Does this boil down to a battle between screen size/picture quality/Snapdragon Vs Exynos? I am not sure which one to sacrifice !
If I did not have my Tab S9 Plus I would have gotten the S24 Ultra, but since I have the flagship tablet, I wanted to go with a good compact Samsung smartphone, and the S24 does not fall short, not in any way!
S24 is the best bang (or tech) for your buck!!!
S24 or iphone 15 pro? I need to change my old broken phone, any help?
Same problem, bud. I bought 15 pro about 2 weeks ago. And overall i like it. But… Since I've been using android phones all my life, I'm having a bit of a hard time with ios, and now I'm thinking maybe I want to sell my iphone and buy a s24.
My opinion - think that you are closer to android or aios, if you like multifunctionality (split screen, gestures, easy connection to a pc, customization, downloading third-party applications), then most likely you will be more suitable for c24.
If this is not so important, but, for example, it is more important to have a good camera (on the iPhone it is slightly better, as I understood from the reviews), then take the iPhone
Were you able to chose which phone?
@@matthewciprian3201 Yes, but I'm not sure of my choice. Bought a 15 pro but after years of using android, it's extremely unfamiliar. If I could go back in time I'd probably buy the s24, but for now I'm using an iPhone and overall the phone is good, camera is awesome.
If giving advice, I guess I can say that android users are more likely to go for the S24
I use both phones but iphone 10% online for Apple watch and 90% s24 , iphone is like im feeling in a Smartphone jail , when i use the s24 its feels so free to Do anything
And of course you are Aware that not everyone can afford the ultra model
Great review keep it on,waiting for the full day review
Samsung HDR Photos for Instagram (exclusive to the S24 Series) have arrived and the iPhone 15 series/iPhones generally are copying this feature. Why??? Aren't iPhone photos crystal clear enough for Instagram???
HDR uploads on iPhone have been around for a while on Instagram, and FaceBook
Need a s24 plus review please. You got me considering subscribing to your channel. Good video.
How the hell is 6.2 inches a small phone
it is by today's standard. Try holding one. it's 6.2" with very minimal bezels. but personally i want a much smaller phone like the s10e
It isn't. But people think that massive phones are good because they're told that they are.
In reality, they're too bulky and awkward for everyday use.
It's ridiculous.
6.1 used to be massive.
People are weird
I agree I was a fan of the iPhone 12 Mini I like both Android and iOS
The fact that you could have a flagship Performance in a small form factor Only downside was the battery but they fixed that in the 13 mini
zenfone 10 is the small phone
I see your highly impressed by the S24 screen brightness, BUT i've been using the s23 for about 6 months and NOT once have i EVER found the 1750 nits on this phone lacking, you simply don't need the additional extra brightness on the S24. Period, you've fallen for the hype 😮
The most honest statement in this video is, "I wish I had something else in my hands."While holding the S24 phones.
A friend of mine doesn't like the s24 , he picked up s 24 ultra so he decided to sale the reg s24 $300 what a good friend
Wow this is a good choice now and im so happy to have this phone as a gift for my husband after our wedding so he choose a better phone just for me then🥰🥰😍😍
Does anyone find a problem with the display on 8:24? Grainy screen?
That's not grainy display in this video that's water droplets from the animations on that screen.
Do u use 24? What about its pwm?@@de-luxe491
Does anyone have grainy screen issue on s24
I have the s24 and I do not have a grainy screen.
To all Europeans watching American or Canadian reviews of samsung s 24 , this is snapdragon version of the device, in Europe we have exynos that is complete trash.
Overheating, bad reception, worst battery life, picture quality bad as midrange phone. Don't get full, don't buy samsung in Europe .
Just got mine for $320 with trade in and discounts from samsung while i await my 16 pro max.
Anyone know what music app he was using at 0:23
Apple Music
Samsung has not perfected UFS 4 on the 128gb storage, hence why it's still UFS 3.1. Maybe that's why the S24+ and S24U got 256 entry. I can't say for sure.
S23 or s24 considering Exynos
Our market has the Exynos but I managed to find a SD variant.
Was considering the same but got the S24. Couldn't be happier!
You can’t beat the s24. Can’t I’m an iPhone user but the screen is unbelievable
I love the size of my s24. I sent a pixal 8 back and waited 3 weeks for the s24 on presale. Got a great price. It was all timing . I liked the pixal 8 it had one issue that google could not resolve. Coming from a Motorola to the Samsung was a bit more of a learning curve than the pixal 8. But it is so worth it. Now google is back tracking on how much support it will give the pixal 8.
How much does the battery last for you?
@slaykei7132 1 day on the easy
Battery last all day. Charged to 80%. I am a moderate user. I must say that the Motorola phones batteries are tanks. But for the 7 years of security updates from Samsung it is all good

my s23 costs around $620 during pre orders deal. it's really worth it until now, S24 looks good with thinner bezel and 7 years software update make it really solid flagship phone
OnePlus 12 is a flagship phone that costs $800.
It costs less for a reason.
@jordanjackson8873 what is the reason?
@ayouboughar4673 No AI, no 7 years of software updates, fewer features, fewer customization options, fewer security options, smaller ecosystem, less optimization, worse camera, and etc.
@jordanjackson8873 for ecosystem OnePlus also have the new OnePluswatch2, OnePlus Busds and tablet. And for the AI OnePlus has the same CPU so they can implement AI easily shortly, don't forget Samsung will charge you for AI after the end of 2024, Also OP12 have a better screen, better battery, and better charging speed.
@ayouboughar4673 except I get 10 hrs of SOT out of an s24+ easily, and the s24 ultra can get more battery life. Also, there is no way you're gonna argue the ecosystem against samsung. They have tablets, watches, earbuds, phones, laptops, smart tv's, smart washers, smart blinds, smart lights, etc. I can literally control my washer and tv from my phone and get wahser pop-up notifications on my tv. Also, the AI deal is with Google, so no One Plus can't just implement those whenever they want. Samsung announced Google's AI features before Google even did. So no
Samsung is all hype, 1 star.
Long term is a year, not this.
