I don't know how to thank you, but I began to love Chinese language after I came to this channel!!! my Chinese has improved a lot!! I'm gonna keep sharing your videos to my friends and my classmates so they can improve their Chinese too!! sharing is caring haahahaha 谢谢你们!!!!
Wow. I think this is one of the best channels for learning Chinese! I also think I prefer watching this channel instead of going to classes at my university. haha Please keep these amazing videos!!!! Thanks a lot!!
I think we just need to practice a ton to make the feel natural like english. I was thinking about memorizing all of these rules and realized I just need to get used to them. For example in english we can word things in many ways. Like the sentence He worked for IBM last year. It can be worded like "Last year he worked for IBM." or "He was working at IBM last year." I don't think in grammar rules to write that; it just comes out. Practice and constant repetition is the only way to get this way with another language.
Wow! That's what I've been looking all around since last month the 3rd week, my very first day of Chinese as I ve known it. The scheme to form phrases intelligently. I'll have a great time by far.
A basic rule of psychology: repeating mistakes teaches mistakes. Fortunately you repeat the correct forms more times than you speak the errors, so net net you're OK. Your presenter is absolutely first class.
Thank you very much!!! You are doing great work! Thank you for an examples to showing us which kind of mistakes we are doing usual (or I'm doing hah) it's so helpful. And actually now I feel shy 😅☺️ 😭☺️☺️ because of my mistakes 🙈🙉
At 9:23, could I say 謝謝你的幫忙 ? Is that appropriate? I feel like I have heard it said like this before, and I have said it like this as well. How does it differ from 謝謝你給我幫忙 ? And is the difference significant?
Sumner Losenn You can also say “多谢帮忙” cuz in spoken Chinese, we usually elide “你” if there are just speaker and listener in the conversation. BTW, it's better not to use “给我... ” as that give the sense of commanding😂,in formal occasions you can say “感谢/多谢/谢谢你(大家)的帮助”
When we are familiar with someone, we probably know him/her for a period of time, or maybe a long time, in this case, we should use "了解". “认识” means I met someone before. However, in this sentence, "I just heard of him", which implies that I didn't meet him before, so “I don't know him. 我不了解他“.
感激之情无法以言语表达,但愿有志者事竟成,大家要加油学好这门语言哟~~~ Can't express my gratitude with words, hope everyone can make it by your own way and try your best to learn this language.
Um, no. You are having trouble not with your Chinese but with your English. The mistakes are not valid. They are mistakes. The examples of mistakes are valid examples, though.
@@TheDavidlloydjones Of course there is no thing such as a "valid mistake". Thank you for highlighting it. Also, thank you for capturing the spirit of my comment, great addition from your side!
@@TheoCJnr My more serious criticism was my disagreement with your puppyish "consistently top class content." This school have consistently fine production values (no echos, appropriate lettering, etc.) and fine presenters with clear enunciation and sound English. "These are mistakes you should avoid," however, is a well studied error in pedagogy. Net net, it spreads, doesn't correct, errors.
watch cartoons with chinese subtitles, when you can handle that, watch series or tv shows, then news and maybe documentries. It's by far the best way because you get varied language input, dialects, speed and get a lot of comprehensive input

Valentin K Njobvu Unlike English, almost every word in a sentence matters in Chinese. So you have to get familiar with our common words and speaking patterns. Watching Chinese TV shows may not be enough bc the words and speaking habits in TV shows are sometimes weird if applied to daily interpersonal communication. I recommend you use Blibli, the Chinese version of RUclips, where you can find Chinese natural speaking pattern. For me to enhance listening skills when learning English, I watch tons of American TV shows and watch videos on RUclips.
@@hexagoner5746 Thank you for your response, but I was actually asking how to write the English expression 'someone somewhere doing something' in Chinese rather than enquiring about the word order. 也就是说: 'someone somewhere doing something' 这个词语汉语怎么说?
I really love your channel. But wish that in this video you didn't model the incorrect sentences. I'm afraid hearing it the wrong way will just reinforce the mistakes
The last two examples are not good. Even in English, you have to add 'piece', 'cup', 'pair' for some nouns. I don't think learners would make them wrong. You should use examples without measure words at all.

I think that 谢谢你的帮忙 is not good, because 帮忙 is a verb.
I think that 谢谢你的帮助 is better because 帮助 is a noun.

但是回答对方的句子还可以说 "今天天气是好,但是...", 对吗?
这次, 我觉得可以这么说, 因为 “是好” 的 “是” 搭配 “但是” 的 “是”。
我觉得意思是: 今天的天气可能是好的, 但是...
用英文: Today's weather may be nice, but ...
mountaintag 不,他说的是对的,确实可以这么用,表示转折的时候,前面的句子就要把“是”说出来,而且“是”要重读
例如:-咱们出去玩吧,我看你好像不太忙。
-我是不忙,但是我想在家呆着。
well i'll say “就算你们不同意,我就要买这本书” in daily life, just stress on 就 and say it as i dont fk care about what y'all think, then it will sound super normal
