  • Chinese Grammar - Chinese Tenses: Express Past, Present or Future Events in Chinese
    As we all know, Chinese doesn’t have different verb conjugations to indicate periods of time, so how does someone know that you are referring to something happening at different times? In this episode, let’s talk about how to infer the event time when an action takes place.

    VERY eye opening, unlike others saying that there is NO TENSES IN CHINESE, they just cause confusion! THANK YOU A LOT, you present the structures as I do when teaching English😁😁😁

    I would like to mention that "Guo" is used to mark present PERFECT tense.. So, yes something which is DONE, but in the VERY PRESENT time.. It is not past tense.. ! Thanks for the otherwise very useful learning.. a little quick explanation of the sentences would be very helpful for Beginners like me ! 🙏

      @SomeoneYDK 餘實恩 Thank you, though one must almost feel bad for indicating it, because let's be honest, they make a really good job. To me it's not so terrible considering how much I am learning and I am happy you pointed it out because it helps this WONDERFUL Chinese team to find possible hidden errors. We are all not perfect, don't worry Chinese team, you are still fantastic! :D

    That's amazing!很简单,谢谢你,老师🌹🌷🌼🌻🥀。but I don't get why 现在 is not in the 2nd part. It also indicates that the person is in the process...

    • @EverydayChinese
      @EverydayChinese  4 года назад +1

      The word "现在" can both indicate a present state or an in progress state. For examples.
      1.我现在是汉语老师。(I'm a Chinese teacher.--present simple tense)
      2.我现在在看电视。(I'm watching TV.--present continuous tense)

    Why in minute 13:33 use the particle LE for a future action?

    • @EverydayChinese
      @EverydayChinese  5 лет назад +3

      了(le) is not only for the past. When something is about to happen, you can also indicate this using 了 (le). Normally it is paired with a 快 (kuài), 快要(kuàiyào) or a 要 (yào).

    谢谢你, 但是你为什么说"完了"呢? 我做了作业怎么样?不可以这么说吗?

    • @EverydayChinese
      @EverydayChinese  5 лет назад +1

      “我做了作业” 这句话本身是对的,但只表示“做作业”这个动作,不表示已经“完成作业”这个结果。表示已经完成的事情,我们通常会用“完”这个词,比如 “做完作业”, “看完书”, “吃完饭”, “打完篮球”, “洗完澡”, 等等。
