    天哪... Andy, you're the most awesome teacher ever... All tenses for 24 minutes... Thank God you're here to make it clear. You're extremely gifted in explanations. I've always confused all this stuff, especially all the meanings of 在 and 正在 (I'm Russian 😣). But... Omg.... Once I watched this and everything is easy and makes sense now... I just have no words to thank you... And I know you read all the comments, please, ASAP make a video about:
    1. All the meanings of 了 (+ additional secret badass meanings like not just "le" but "liao" or even "了了"), I'll be waiting for it ^_^
    2. All the measure words for Chinese nouns (I did my best to find some sort of a list of all measure words but it's just about 70 words, obviously not all of them), or please, send a link where I can find this information in the description below your next video.
    Thank you, sir, thank you very much. And sorry for such a long comment 🙈

      For 了, I can cover its frequently-used meanings instead of all the meanings. We have 17 different 了 by the latest research in Chinese grammar. lt's not necessary to know them all because some of them are from ancient Chinese.

    • @AskAndy
      @AskAndy  4 года назад +1

      And it's almost the same case for measure words in Chinese. You don't have to know them all because some of them are from ancient Chinese. And young people in China tend to use 个 for most things. I made a video about measure words in Chinese before 👇

    Could I assume that 在 + verb is "to be doing something" and 正在 is "to be doing something at the very moment"? So a sentence like 他在学中文 would mean "he's studying Chinese (as a general process, recently have been studying)" and 他正在学中文 would be "he's studying Chinese (but like right now, at the very moment)"? Btw, your videos are always super neat and straight to the point, you explain everything very well. Love it!

    • @AskAndy
      @AskAndy  2 года назад

      You can do that but Jiang is more often used in written Chinese and why do you have one more word to mean the same thing? Think about how many meanings does TAKE have in English and you will why it's confusing

    Hey andy 👋🏻
    Can i ask you why are these two sentences are different!
    They both happen in the past so why do we use ( le ) here ..
    Ta zoutian shang zhongwen ke le
    But we don’t use ( le ) here ..
    Wo zoutian zhen kaixin !
    Why don’t we say
    Wo zoutian zhen kaixin le !
    Is it because in the first sentence there was a verb but in the other sentence there wasn’t a verb there is just an adjective !
    And this could be another silly question but for real it took me a while think of it
    In this sentence..
    Ta jintian zai jia ( yong ) kuaizi chi zhonggue cai .
    Why did we use ( yong ) which i think it mean ( use ) and didn’t use a link word like ( zuo ) ! Or ( gen )
    And thank you so much for reading all of our questions and for being kind enough to answer all of us

      For the second question, we use 用yong(to use) instead of WITH in Chinese to mean the tools you work with and that's why we don't use 跟gen
