I live this every day. Anything done to me s justified because I have made mistakes in the past. After being isolated, abused and been in a virtual empathy desert. But it is acceptable if they do the exact things I am being “punished” for. I have been thrown out of my own house. Then I was bullied into buying an investment home and as soon as it was fully renovated she decided to move in. Took anything she wanted from the main house. This was done with the excuse I was being “protected”. There was a supposed “threat” coming from an argument that was started by the Narc.
100%.. they will use someone dying from cancer.. spilling all the beens on their helplessness and weakness as they die.. boasting about carrying them up and down stairs.. with zero respect to the dignity of the dying!! look at me look at me arent i wonderful and saintly... the concept of dignity for the peiople in their time of need is beyond their tiny brains! it drives me mad!! Just cos you know something DOES NOT GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TO TELL OTHERS!!!
The standards that they apply to you , you should apply to them . So if they make rules that only benefit them , then add your own rules to limit them from controlling you. Also if they don't respect your boundaries then it's time to avoid them altogether.😮
One said to me after explaining to her I didn’t want to talk about religion with her was that I “ didn’t have the authority” to ask her to keep her religious beliefs to herself.
