    Another excellent "how to" video. Thank you!

    You sure aren't kidding about the Medusa spawns. I took some photos last evening with eight or nine of them in the instance all at once. It was terrifying. At one point, I got killed while still in glide.

      I think there a more like 12 or 13 medusa on open

      There should be 2 Dusa and 2 Basi “per sabotage.” But sabotages can be repeated and spawns trigger each time, so if the combat interceptors aren’t cleared, so you can get some pretty messed up instances.

      Did you try to sabotage all bins of all spires of a site? I managed only one primary spire, 4 bins (in solo), the spire and its beam of light turned yellow. After that my ship was destroyed during recall :)

      @@VitalyNcrYT I have not. I'd suspect you would need to come in ultra-cold to attempt it.
      I did try harvesting ground materials in a Medusa-overrun instance with my cold Dolphin, as an experiment.

    Should have stocked up on the commodities for the first missions while it was easy

      Indeed. Still have about 50 coral sap on my carrier from the early days of the Thargoid Barnacle Matrixes!

    01:15 "get on foot ideally in an artemis suit" why this suit? because it has the best jet pack of the game? and should it be upgrade to grade 5 for a better shield? what engineer suit modifications are recommended?

    • @Astyrrean
      @Astyrrean  3 месяца назад +2

      Yes - all you're doing is jumping around, hence a suit which "can jump" is ideal.
      No engineering is required really, as there are no hostiles there on foot. If you really want, you can put improved jump assist on an Artemis (I did) since that makes your platforming life easier. And not like Artemis suit engineering has a lot of other requirements overall!

    Would it be easier to evade the thargoids with a small, cooler-running ship like the dolphin? Or does the standard "pop a heatsink and skeedaddle" method work just fine? I'm no combat pilot...

    • @Astyrrean
      @Astyrrean  Год назад +1

      The problem is - ships will take SOME damage on the way inbound. So you do need 2-3k hull to survive that. Once onboard, it’s sink and skedaddle!

      @@zootsanchez Generally, when somebody has poisoned, it becomes Medusa-mania quickly, and overwhelms everybody. We dump the instance, and I usually re-clear the banshees for everybody with my Mamba. Enhanced AX Missiles on the three big hardpoints, about 10-12 volleys for each one. It's a PITA, but it makes the instance nice for everybody.
