Will give the plasmas a go too. Its annoying when someone shoots the space cabbage spawning from the spire. And i tried using the skorpion to take out banshees, need to learn a more efficient way of doing the from air without running out of ammo. Also too lazy to do the Archon powerplay stuff...Thx for the info.

new to Spire hunting, just joined a few days ago, already got 3 and a half billion in the bank, plan to get my Rating 5 this thursday and cash in after doing 5 bil more in bonds, been great working with folks in the AXI plan to build this, and finalise it once my carrier is bought, on the flip side that shield does offer one extra benefit, as i myself have had to do this in a unshielded chieftan and i sigh every time, since no one else knows or doesnt wanna do it, and so i have to conduct some repairs as a result. but that shield can act as a nice buffer between you and youre hull when you just need to give those runners a nice non-consensual Hug, (aka shoving youre ships nose in places the thargoid may not approve)

I have some questions and I would be grateful if you could clarify: 1 - Is there any advantage to using a bi-weave shield or can we use a prismatic one? 2 - Wouldn't it be advantageous to use guardian hull reinforcements, as they offer caustic protection, as well as guardian module reinforcements? 1 - Totally fine to use a prismatic shield. Biweave recharges faster and you rarely need more tank than the biweave offers, so it's better quality of life (less time you need pips in SYS) ... but otherwise functionally identical to prsimatics for this task 2a - Human HRPs can be engineered. Guardian HRPs cannot. Engineered human HRPs are superior to Guardian HRPs both in terms of hull added, and in terms of not requiring power to operate 2b - Guardian MRPs, unlike Guardian HRPs, have integrity of their own and are thus vulnerable to the Anti-Guardian Field ("AGF") that Orthruses periodically fire. If you use the guardian version, in addition to your weapons, you have more things you need to repair each time an AGF fires - and MRPs take a LOT of time and AFMU ammo to repair. Just not worth it for the minor additional integrity they offer; use the human ones if AGFs are a threat in your scenario!
First time using the guardian plasma chargers, I usually use a krait with either sirius missiles or ax multicannons. Now I've build this exact Conda and on my first run the moment I enter a spire site all of the weapons got fried... (all damaged instantly to 0% health) What am I missing..?
Spire site Orthruses can occasionally fire anti-guardian fields which will fry guardian weapons. That’s the reason you have three AFMUs… just repair the guns to 5% each and you’re good (at most one will malfunction at a time.)
before tower-farming i used to do solo Oreo-hunting in an similar build off a FGS but with 5 AX missiles and 2 Cytos. That always worked fine for me and had no problems with AGF. But on the downside it is a very specialized build and i always had to run from anything else but Oreos
The linked edsy build has regular Guardian Plasma Chargers, not the modified ones found at Prospect's Deep in Mbooni. I'm assuming this is because they weren't available on Edsy when the build is made?

You’re not supposed to engage in Hyperdictions … just jump away (there is no mass lock in hyperdictions .) You’re similarly not supposed to engage in interdictions. If you submit by setting throttle to zero (vs fight it) the cooldown timer on your FSD is super fast - just boost away, you’ll quickly get to 5km and your FSD will charge near-instantly then. The above applies to interceptor hyperdictions and interdictions. Maybe I'm just unlucky... the Thargoids that interdict me interfere with my FSD and mass lock me and I can't get away. I would assume most of them are Glaves since I can't boost fast enough to get away. Went back to my Krait for now.
It is a great opportunity for noobs to earn a lot of money. If you even touch it with any weapon, you will get the bounty. However, ax missiles can be purchased just for cash, and can make you effective in no time.

I use a shieldless anaconda but otherwise a similar interpretation. 6 MPCs can definitely smack the Orthrus out of the sky quickly.

Do the guardian weapons not degrade and shut down at the spire sites then?
They degrade due to field from HOT Orthruses coming out of towers. If You dont attack these, than there is no guardian item decay.
