The Iron Horse Mud Ranch Bounty Hole has claimed numerous trucks and hasn't been beaten in under 2 minutes in some time. This year was different! Congratulations to Tommy Rush for pulling the pit in a time of 1:59.41 and taking home $2600!

@@rekjavicxxx thanks for the great vid!!
I think the red truck would have made it as well. That pit looks awesome!
Check out a Toyota truck with 4age turbo and tell me what you think. Just RUclips it.

The guy that got through was the only guy who had the tread of the tire the opposite direction. Physics play a huge roll in this. By switching the direction of the tread it scoops the mud to the center of the tire making it stand more on top of the mud rather the scooping the mud to the sides digging a hole. Its why they can reverse and still move after they've gotten stuck going forward.
Nice for you to explain this. Could never figure out why they were doing this
Man I can't remember how many times I've argued this with ppl running ag tires.
The truck with pink drove by the girl had hers mounted backwards also
Also thanks to its short wheelbase
Next event everybody's tires will be on backwards mark my word

@@br6768 bro that would be funny as shit X'D
The horsepower of that eight wheeled truck is unreal.
Some of these guys were just trying to see how tall they could make the truck.
Yeah to move those 8 big ass wheels
Guys, HERE is The TRUE Savior
YaH The Heavenly FATHER HIMSELF was Who they Crucified for our sins, NOT jesus, and “HERE IS THE PROOF”
From the Ancient Semitic Scroll:
"Yad He Vav He" is what Moses wrote, when Moses asked YaH His Name (Exodus 3)
Ancient Semitic Direct Translation
Yad - "Behold The Hand"
He - "Behold the Breath"
Vav - "Behold The NAIL"
All these guys with their huge heavy mega trucks sink and get caught on their diffs and frame...
Old man in his light short wheelbase machine knows what he's doing 👌
Ruben Braekman he basically built a budget sherp
Yeah, stay to the close side where the mud doesn't get as deep.
I know right!?
I've never understood it. They've got the truck jacked up12 ft high, but they still barely have 2-3 ft of ground clearance, because they've got that big old rectangular framework that basically becomes a plow and anchor.
That might be fine if you're driving through swimming pools, or a flooded parking lot.
But all that lift ain't doing jack squat if you still don't have any ground clearance.
Weight and traction is everything
That red ram did it the icelandic way, 3.10 gears paddle-like tires and a lot of power.
I think the best way to beat these mud holes is with something small light and wicked fast. Skip across the top like formula offroad
I think that sand paddle tires would work better for this too. The first guy to make it had his tires backwards and they paddle more than dig like that. Even the other driver that had their tires backward could have kept going because the trucks don't dig themselves in. The issue you get with a flyweight truck is that they tow the cable for the winch and it doesn't sound like much but 300 feet of it ends up.being a good chunk of weight the truck is dragging like an anchor.
Yeah Diesels suck at those things from every vid I have ever seen..
Absolutely. Wheel speed and low weight win. That red truck with the small tires proves it. A Formula Offroad would crush at this event. Can't expect the bumpkins to learn from example, though!
A hovercraft would get it done
Nearly all organizers of these events wont let fast light small tire trucks run these bounty holes, they want a show, they don't want a timed race. Formula offroads would do this easy that's why you wont see them running
Tommy Rush had his tires mounted backwards for optimal scooping action. Didn’t think there was anyone else rocking that steeze.
I've been watching these videos for a few years and I'm not claiming to be a professional driver, but you can always tell they're not going to make it as soon as you hear the driver tap the gas pedal in the middle of the run. Keep it even on the gas pedal, don't tap the gas, don't let off even for a fraction of a second because your nose will dip into the mud wave that is created by your front axle. Those quick dips from tapping the gas make the mud wave bigger and it slows down your forward momentum.
Exactly, you can't let go and you have to push forward with full power, like a guy in: 7:26, he just flies by. Worst example is at 28:12, where this lady could even run the entire track with this truck but lets go of the throttle and she digs deeper and deeper every time
Always run v treads backwards...keeps rig on top and dosen't dig...hints directional treads
Exactly! You can have all the engine you want, but if you don't understand how the tires work you will bog down anyway.
Read some places don't allow it. I think it has to do with the HP
Been mudding for over 20 years...never had to turn my tires around at any mud park ive been to...run 23.1 26 v treads with 2 cases and a small block ...less than 300 hp ....has nothing to do with hp...all to do with gears!!!!!!!!!
@@Thatdudewithatie The winning truck had his rears on backwards.
Thought it might be opposite, but see you are right
After watching this, I've realized some people just got way too much disposal income to spend building stupid sh1t
I wish I had the money looks fun as hell, don't be a jealous hater that they have it and you don't
@@scottcraft5028 I'm not jealous of how stupidly people spend their money.
Nothing like spending $150k so you can win $2600
"This mother is gonna pay for itself" -Owner
Or........
Spending 150K and NOT winning.
These guys just build these things because they can.
Or spending 150k
And your truck breaking down.
...
And not winning.
Sounds fool proof
I know this is some insane mud but I enjoy watching these ridiculous trucks get stuck
gotta turn the v tread backwards... forwards makes em dig and thats kool when there is a bottom. but backwards gives forward bite. thats why they can typically back out if not dragging their frames.
Must be your first day
They shouldn't let them trucks sit there and just dig and dig and dig and dig up the track. It's messing it up for everyone else trying to make it thir the mud.
Some of these guys should try a center diff lock.
The win starts at 3:55
THANKS!
Cool. Decades ago. In then 1989s and into 1990s my uncle reversed tread direction on his truck tires and he was number 1 in mud bogging in BC for at least 10 years. All the competition laughed and told him his tires are on wrong , backward facing tread my uncle knew works better. Just like this guy who won this event. Wise to reverse tread direction
I love how people lean out the window trying to counter balance a 20,000lb truck with their 200lb body
You would be really surprised what a few pounds shifted around can do. Been around plenty of trucks stuck in mud or sand and can get going again with a little push/bouncing in the bed/standing on a bumper.
24:35 by far the baddest little tire truck there! Does anyone have any info on the truck? Or know who the owner is?
Samuel Carpenter my dad
@@saulgoodman2438 what motor is in that thing?
If he'd kept it straight, probably might have done it
It's a '78 Dodge Lil Red Express. I like the way they came from the factory with the smoke stack exhaust that came up behind the cab but I guess they had to move it on this one for practical reasons. I think this is the one that's featured a good bit on a channel called Mud Stamp Films. Owner - Tony Kleinschmidt
@@dazedexpression8039 thx
I always route for the samuri!!.
He is always a contender, and gives it hell!!
Everyone else is there to show off and make a mess, the guy with the right vehicle and tires is naturally the only one that got through.
With a custom build too!!!!! Great job Tommy!!!!!
It seems to me the way to win is largest/widest/deep V tread tires,, as short wheelbase as possible, 1500+ of torque and HP, and highest RPMs in the deep sections.
I like how Bobby's Roofing sunk like 10 feet.
MUD GRINDER . THANK YOU>
Moral of the story, low wheel speed + wide tires = cement mixer.
Ha ha true.
So many people spend so much money and time on these things and there is only one guy smart enough to flip the tire tread the opposite direction.....
The guy that spends the least has the most fun and actually finishes the coarse.
AND WINS $2500!
Liked the fact you put distances and what place people came in on video.

Diesel guys just sit there and dig holes lol.
But they have all "that" torque LOL. Freaking lame Diesels.
Congratulations Tommy awesome show 👍❤️🔥💯
Imagine you bring a normal lifted truck to a offroad meet and see these monsters XD
Buddy needs some wipers!🤣 also I see some guys are realizing turning the tires around lifts you up out of the mud. Forward just digs you in. Watch the trucks in reverse almost always come right out and out of being stuck. Powerball was a good example.
You dont understand weight transfer, that's all.
Can't believe the green samari took that much ketchup!. That was my wow moment
GREAT JOB TOMMY!👑
Boy those 6.7 powerstrokes sound like pissed off cats. I thought my 6.7 cummins was bad
How to win. Light weight and hp. Lots and lots of hp. Those damn 50ft trucks needed less height and mo powa bebeh.
The height of the axles has to be taken into account,
U watch Donut too?
@@dylantroutman4363 yup
"Deaf Mudders" the tractor was legendary dude!
I think the key for this is to use the tires to paddle your way forward (use the tires backwards)... i noticed some trucks were able to go backwards but not forward.
The winner had the best weight / contact patch ratio, and tires backwards, wich allowed to not accumulate mud but sacrifice some traction.
Better to keep wheels spinning fast and floating than burrying itself here.
Looks like tire tread design has a heck of a lot to do with it. Tractor tires are great for digging a trench until the rear axle gets burried. Lil Red Express has treads that are different to tractor design, and seem to keep the axle above the juice and give tons of forward bite. Tommy Rush's reversed tractor tires are maybe packing the mud under them, instead of trenching by pumping sideways - goes slower but gets it. Just saying. Well, and please would somone explain why they build the body, engine, frame so high lift? They just need to keep the axles above mud, and for that does the truck need such a high stance? May it's needed to make sure the tires won't rub the sheet metal? Oh, and look at Lil Red Express on some Mega Truck vids, and see how well the suspension is set up - not much rapid up&down motions.
I think diff ratio on the red truck allowed for high rpm of the wheels along withe the high revs it looks to be a recipe for success.
The guy who made it drove on the left and close to the edge for the most part, where no one else was driving. He had his tread "backwards" and he just kept turning the wheel left and right. The dodge truck was very impressive and I wonder why he cut to the side. Maybe he didn't think he could make it past the dirt ridges at the end because of the small tires.
It’s like moonwalking thru that cornfield between her legs no shrinks needed
Is Tommy Rush still muddin? Hes the GOAT at muddin!
Some really good chassis’s there :o) if they didn’t have two ton of pickup truck on top they would be unstoppable :D
Look at this guy driving true mud in his white sweater😂
Powerstrokes just digging holes.
That black one near the beginning was pretty though....
Pretty USELESS!! Center Frame SO low it actually dug in! 😳
Nice leather interior though, they were comfy!!! 😆😂😆😂😂
The Tommy Rush Jeep is basically the Sherpa concept.
the "tractor" that won was killer!
These trucks are just getting massive! These would have been monster trucks back I. The day, now normal guys got them. It's really cool to see them evolve over time. Same with street cars. When I ran 9s in my mustang in 1998 I was considered a god. Now regulator cars are doing that!😂
Nice driving, good race, God bless u & i👏👌👍
it is a crazy muddy race. Wheels dig down when it got stuck on mud. Cars are sinking mostly. :)
All those dinner train wheelbase trucks look good and whatnot, but you all seen the one that made it through right.
very powerful amazing machines i like it
The smallest ones with the most horsepower do the best
@@croatoan8394 Damn. What kinda horsepower u running?
I can really see myself going to the grocery store in one of those trucks.
The little blue engine that could doe made me laugh😂😂😂✊🏾
(9:36) I'm thinking Powerball should of played a scratch off 🤣🤣🤣
Glad to see someone could finally win it
Lol at the second truck..... All that power but now wipers
you dont need to see where you're going with that kind of horsepower, you just gotta hold on tight and fuckin send it
Seems to me Tractor tire in mud should always be wide part of V forward so it pulls the mud from the middle of tire and pushes it under the vehicle for lift. Looking at the vehicles that went farthest they had them in this fashion. examples 28:15 she was from a stop able to climb up in the mud but she kept stopping. 4:21 crawled right through even though it was floating like a Sherpa somewhat.
It doesn’t matter how tall your truck is - if your front axel/differential is that low it’s like pushing a bulldozer through that mud. You need an axel like a hummer that juts down - then put big tires on it and try that.
12:15 really CRAZYYYYYYY
The way to do it would be to get a small wheel base (like tires not far from each other) so nothing like traction bars or even the frame will drag in the mud and will allow you to go over humps such as in this bounty hole. Of course you can’t forget putting a good ole American big block for the powerhouse
The white Ford with the flags, no respect for the U.S. FLAG! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣
nazivw honestly he really doesn’t bc if you also pay attention the fireball flag was flying higher.
@@aflame69 , i thought that every U.S. citizen knew this;
The don'ts
The flag should never be displayed with the stars down, unless as a signal of dire distress. The flag should never touch anything underneath it, such as the floor, the ground, water or merchandise. The flag shouldn't be displayed outdoors during bad weather.
nazivw yes I know this and more in great detail as I used to be a color guard for 6 years in my time with the Boy Scouts and as an active OA member. I’m simply adding on to the litany of offenses that’s were committed.

If you could keep the weight down and the speed up it would be effective. You would only need enough battery for about 15 minutes of run time.

The only intelligent to place the tires in the opposite direction is the one who wins. The rest think they drive tractors and put the tires in the "right" way and therefore get stuck. As it is noted that none of these have been driven by desert dunes to understand that if you do not move material you do not advance.
Angeloti Palirno apparently not all places allow that... good idea though, makes sense
I wonder what would happen if the tires were to be put backwards?
Jesus, I remember when getting 44” boggers was the absolute shit. In south Florida in the late 90’s, they were the pinnacle. It was like having a machine that printed out tickets to pussy. These trucks are insane.
