My buddy Dave had a pretty hard time once beating a Big-Block Corvette in a race with his little hotrod Mustang. After doing the old Balance-and-Bluprint with a Lincoln 460 motor, he found that it would twist the frame pretty outrageously when he stomped on the throttle, so he ended up with a Falcon because the Thunderbird-gauge sheet metal would properly transfer the torque. I guess if you put a gun to my head, I could tell about that time we took Grandma's Eldorado out to smoke some rubber. But if you have to push, the Ford is more viable.

Curious if your friend Dave had subframe connectors on his Mustang or not… those help tremendously with the rigidity of those cars.
As far as the Eldorado goes, it definitely wasn’t designed with the intention of burning rubber but I am sure glad to know they can 😎
